CF9 upgrade to CF11 w/IIS is unable to get to the stage of migration/configuration

I'll finally approval to my update not as a stand alone, side-by-side upgrade which was make me do a significant Gash was not working because of our funky twists coding and security, we have implemented in the code.

Unfortunately, when I do the upgrade and installation it installs, but I can't move to the phase of migration/configuration of the facility.  I see nothing in the error logs.  Sometimes I get the message of 500.19 error when I try to connect to the administrator myself, other times nothing.  When I get the error HTTP 500.19-Internal Server Error it designates the file ApplicationHost.config or web.config that contains the malformed xml element.  When I look at the web.config file it contains about 9 event handlers use jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll or jrun_iis6.dll.  I do not have the IIS6, IIS7 configuration selected in the new installation of CF11, but I can't go forward.  I want to just copy these 2 files to my installation of CF9, but I don't know where to put them.  I even renamed the web.config file so that IIS would recreate it so he wouldn't refer to the Web.config CF9 old and stuck there, what a time error message referred to in these lines in the file web.config CF9.  I understand that this issue blurs the borders of category of ColdFusion/IIS.  I don't know where my error lies with IIS or CF11.  I want to just manually enter these managers in IIS 7, but my boss seems to think that we must have wsconfig do that for us in case it puts code somewhere else and we lose configuration changes that really puts us in a spiral.  Any ideas/suggestions?  I hope that I was clear enough.

Another thing is that we have our CFIDE to CF9 file located in a directory other than for security reasons I suppose, but I can't understand how CF is aware that he must go to run.  In the CF administrator, it refers to another for CFIDE folder that does not exist.  I saw a reference to the correct location, and it is in the registry while I was sure CF11 references have been removed. CF9 he had there. I guess I wonder if there is a setting somewhere that I need to change if CF11 will look in the right place and then run and go ahead with the part of the migration/configuration of the instalation.  I can't find it in any of my research looking for the foldername in the files.

I inherited this project and there is very little documented regarding configuration changes that have been made.

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

OK, my installation works, although I always try to get the apps to work (I think that the problems of permissions).  Since I continued to have problems of migration we created a CAR first with CF9.  We were then just do an upgrade directly on our development server.  I performed the installation with the server configuration and selected configure my server Web ColdFusion 11, IIS. When you launch the browser to connect to CF11 administrator if you get 500 error may be because the SSL for the CFIDE > folder in IIS administrator is selected.  Deselect it and this error messge should disappear (if it is).  We continue receiving a message from 404.7 error refuse to file extension.  I thought it had to do with my cfm extensions because I was trying to open a cfm, but it wasn't the case.  The error mentioned isapi.redirect.dlls.  I finally found an error message under my FailedRequestLogs IIS that mentioned something about request filtering.  It turns out that .dll is not in his list of my virtual folder from Jakarta.  Once I added this and restarted IIS, I could enter my CF Administrator 11 and installed the file of the CAR.

Now I'm getting unauthorized errors and need to understand this. The permissions are similar to the cause of this.

Things I learned (you know already that):

  • CF9 may have placed everywhere CFIDE, but CF11 must keep where it is installed.
  • Cf11 didn't need metabase IIS 6 installed, unlike CF9 compatibility (at least we did)
  • We continue get a MIME Type error message also overlap for .air.  Which has been added to the server level and inherited at the Web site level.  I deleted at the server level and he added to the Web site level.

I hope this helps someone.

  • Add WRT54G: second router / access point, unable to get to the outside network.

    Here is the prob:

We just got cable internet the other day and the cable operator insisted on using their v1000 Belkin F5D7234-4 instead of my WRT54G V8. So I thought I'd use the WRT54G as a second router/AP (without wireless/LAN/WAN). I was eager to do this by running an ethernet in the WAN on the WRT54G port and plug it into the port of the client on the Belkin, place the wrt - 54 G at the other end of the House and have the WRT54G broadcasting the same SSID and require authentication even as the Belkin and use the Belkin to Linksys Wireless Bridge. In this way, it will extend my wireless network and all computers can access the internet and the other (wireline customers will keep at wire-speed, wireless is not authicate to two different networks.)

I can't get the Linksys network based able to see all the other computers outside the WRT - 54 G, even for wireless clients. On the side of things Belkin network, I can't ping the router even if she pulls a DHCP in the Belkin address. All customers the Belkin side can meet and thin internet. I've fiddled with the WRT54-g for almost an entire weekend now with no result. The WRT54G can see the other router as a DNS as well as external DNS providers, but none of the client computers can. Basically, I'm wanting to extend the network of Belkin 4 as most cable customers and fill a few dead wireless, and make the visible computer on the same network of suggestions?

    Parameters of WRT - 54G:

    Automatic configuration - DHCP

    Same domain name like Belkin
IP router set a tire to the DHCP server

    DHCPserver OFF

    Mode of operation: router

    Safe are disabled.

Wireless SSID is the same as Belkin

Wireless channel is the same as belkin.

Method and auth. key is the same as belkin.

    Belkin:

    DHCP is on.

    15 IP addresses available.

Wireless gateway is on with the WRT54G Wireless MAC address information.

    Ethernet cords are connected.

I played with static routes for hours, tried the option routing dynamic, even tried DMZing of the WRT54G intellectual property in the belkin and still unable to connect to the internet. Tried the Belkin MAC address cloning. Nothing seems to work. When I plug the WRT - 54G directly in my digital/Modem/phone cable box, I get internet and everything. I'm at the point of throwing same DD - WRT on it.

But beyond connection "wireless" I discovered really does not work if well (drops random wireless speeds seize up) with two different pieces of equipment running two different firmwares. So the thing connecting wireless set was out the window.

I however knew what I had to do Linksys firmware:

    1.) DHCP clients forward.

    Customers of Belkin - network

    Linksys customers - network B

The dhcp pool was not get transferred to the client computers. That is the 1-2 on network computer had XXX. XXX.100 - 102 for 3-4 computers on network B was YYY. YYY. YYY statically set by Windows. Even after changing to a static address on the network A dhcp scope I could still connect to the internet or to one of the computers on the network.

The static routing table seemed not lead me anywhere either, and I've tried dozens of configurations.

The way I got it Setup is with the customer enthernet of the Belkin ROUTER to THE Internet on the Linksys WRT54G port 1-4. Maybe I should have plugged the ethernet on the client side of 4 ports Linksys?

Anyway DD - WRT redirect DCHP feature was what I need.

Regarding the scenario wireless two routers have the same encryption method and key but different channels and ssid. Who, with DD - WRT for some reason when I jump on the wireless-B, Vista will be ID it as network A (B).

I hope that it has not violated anything except the guarantee which was anyway. The reason for which I needed for my network up this way is because I do a lot of work using VM (of various operating systems), is simply easier to have two separate semi networks. (to different physical locations in the House)

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft community forums.

It seems that you are not able to MSN account or by mail when you use the connection of Norton.

You can try to disable Norton antivirus installed on the computer and check is that you are able to connect to MSN and email.

NOTE: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hello.

First of all, I read this page - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949358

It says this - "Note if this problem occurs, it may take 30 minutes to undo changes, and then the system will display the login screen Windows.»

But this is not true for me, I have nowhere near the logon screen. Earlier the PC rebooted, but is IMMEDIATELY returned to the exact same failure screen. There is a line.

    A few notes:

    (1) it is a G46VW mobile computer ASUS 'Republic of gamers ". I had 3 days. There is no DVD drive so I can't use any kind of boot disk.

    (2) I have no attached removable media.

    (3) I don't know how to get to any screen except that this form of failure, so do not know how to enter in a single command.

    (4) all that happens is that I see the ASUS logo, then this screen failure immediately.

I'm panicking, it's all new. It has worked very well. I started it today, it has been updated slowly. I saw him at about 17%. Then I looked at a few hours later and saw that he was stuck in this process.

OID contains all users belonging to a group and can be viewed correctly using DOHAD.

Users cannot connect to the portal WebCenter or any other application of the field gets initialized because JPS store does not.

However, the JPS store gets initialized for the administration server, users and group membership can be toured from the areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.

A few days ago the users connected to the webcenter content was not asigned no role.

WebCenter star in the field of content very well, Admin Server and store of JPS is initialized correctly, users and members of the group can be seen in areas of security-> users and groups to the weblogic console window.

    WCP-weblogic_usersandgroups.png

This error started to appear a few days before, before that, everything was normal, and users could connect to the webcenter portal group for membership and get the OID and the privileges of JPS LDAP store.

Servers werer started first, using Nodemanager script to start the server administration, and after that the administrator of the booted server, console weblogic was used to start managed servers.

Is there a way to debug the JPS Store initialization?

    Hello Amey

The indicator for OAM ID Asserter is required for single sign on functionality, whatever it is, the problem, seems to be communication with the DNS server, which makes a delay that could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.

This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.

As a solution, thefully qualified hostname to OID server has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.

Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.

    Thanks for your help.

Is there a way to diagnose the reason why JPS security provider cannot be initialized?

The problem seems to play with communication with the DNS server, which makes it a delay on the resolution for entry to the OID server host name, this could be verified using traceroute and ping commands.

This delay caused the connection failure to the OID server during initialization of JPS.

As a solution, fully qualified for OID server host name has been configured manually to the file/etc/hosts. After this change, JPS can be initialized correctly.

Howerver, that the log shows no time-out or any other exception during the initialziation, making diagnosis difficult to obtain.

Windows 7 anytime upgrade: you have Vista or XP currently installed?

If the product you have Windows 7 'Anytime Upgrade' does not allow to move from XP/Vista to Windows 7. You can buy the product at retail of Windows 7 Upgrade not the ' Anytime Upgrade '.

Windows 7 'Anytime Upgrade' is for moving from one version of Windows 7 to a higher version, such as Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional.

    Hello

I recently had a new Motorola Milestone XT720. I tried to get the software updates using the "connection to phone" functionality system updates. If I connect my phone via the network or via WiFI, I get this message "the device is unable to connect to the server, please try again later"

How can this problem be solved?

How to get the system through files zip for Android updates?

    Kindly let me know.

It is not uncommon to get this message when checking for OTA updates - update servers seem to be pretty random that they are actually on and accessible, or not.

Your best bet for checking updates is to use the Motorola (MSU) software update. Search on a site of Motorola to find. It is a windows program that will check updates for your phone. More updates appear here before OTA (if they are already on OTA)
