It seems that this program was published in 1993 about, so unless the seller, Campbell Services Inc., has released a new version, the answer is probably not.

He also seems to be a 16-bit program, and as such, it will not work on a 64-bit version of win.

  • Halo 2 Vista works only with Windows 7

Hi, I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 and I play Halo 2 Vista.

    • I played Halo 2 Vista this morning and it worked well as it would in my older OS Windows Vista. But when I get back home later I get this message when I start the game.
    • LIVE gaming on Windows failed to initialize. Maybe it's because an another LIVE Gaming on Windows application (for example the dedicated server Halo 2) is running on the same computer. Otherwise, reinstall the game may fix this problem.
    • I've never touched my computer since I came back from the game Halo 3 of my friends house. This was from 09:30 - 20:00 now it comes up with the error.
    • I uninstalled 3 times, changed several times compatibility, installed the LIVE update manually and just update by itself.
I know that this isn't obviously a problem of compatibility due to the fact that I used to play on my Windows Vista SP2 and this morning.

    coNaLEXCHaN,
One thing you can try is to clean boot your system and test it.  If the problem disappears, then it will show that there is another software that is in conflict with the game.    Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

  • Lightroom 3 will run on Windows 7 Home Premium?

I'm about to upgrade my OS to Windows 7 Home Premium and I wonder if Lightroom 3 will run on this OS? The 'Home Premium' Release Notes identify as a proper Vista version, but make no mention of "flavors" to Windows 7 breast - just "Windows 7". I don't want to upgrade to an operating system that doesn't support of Lightroom 3.

People have reported online that they have had no problem with the LR3 on Win 7 Home Premium.

My question is I am about to buy a new Dell with Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) laptop and I'm not sure whether or not she will run the software MS Office student & teacher 2002 above. Will it take for the new laptop currently on the order of upgrade to Windows 7 Professional because it has XP mode which is not Windows 7 Home Premium?

    Technophobemad,
You need to go to Windows 7 Ultimate to use Office 2003.  It is fully compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.

  • Artist Print 8 will run on windows 7

I used the artist press 8 to create greeting cards and our families calendars (I use my own photos, jpeg format) on my XP. I bought Print artist 22 to install on a newer computer, but found that it will not open the artist Print files that I saved.  My XP is dying and I wonder if I can install the old artist press 8 on the new Windows 7.  I'm in the middle of calendar this year and cannot print the rest.  It is at least 100 hours of work.  Help! Hilda Ostby

Artist Print 8 was designed to run on Windows 95/98/NT, so it is quite old. You can try to install in compatibility mode Windows 7. To learn how, see:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Longer term and much better solution to be translated you artist Print 8 files into something that can be read by Print artist 22 on Windows 7. Print artist 8 when you open save it in as long as (assuming that it works this way), is there a list of the types of files (as in .xyz) in the menu drop-down? If so, write these down. Now in Print artist 22 when you try to open a file is there a list of the file types that it can open. If so, write these down.

The trick now is to search for a file type in the list "save under" to print 8 artist who also appears in the 'Open' list to print artist 22. You would then be able to save your files in this format in artist Print 8 then open them in Print artist 22.

I don't use Print artist, but the advice above is solid when trying to solve this kind of problems with programs.

If you have trouble with the types of files, just after the 2 lists to come back here and someone will try to advise you further.

  • I can't Halo 2 for Windows Vista to run on Windows 7__

I installed Halo 2 on my Windows 7 64-bit computer.  When I try to run it, I get this error message:

"LIVE Gaming on Windows initialization failure. Maybe it's because an another LIVE Gaming on Windows application (for example the dedicated server Halo 2) is running on the same computer.  Otherwise reinstall the game may fix this problem. »

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but got the same message.  I am then went on the LIVE Gaming on Windows, downloaded the software and connected to it, then tried to run the game again - same error message.  I went to the support site for Microsoft Halo 2 and downloaded the last updated and tried to run the game - same error message.

I don't want to play this game as a multiplayer online, I just want to play the campaign solo mode.

I have installed and played several other games on this computer, since I upgraded to Windows 7, including Halo Combat Evolved.  How can I run Halo 2?

Update did not work for me, but my husband found this solution:
    http://forums.haloonwindowsvista.com/forums/thread/7677.aspx

    GER bear:
The only way I found to play the game after installation of Windows 7 was to disconnect the internet cable before you choose the game to play after game starts to reconnect the cable... weird but it works...

It worked for me!  I pulled the power cord from the modem before starting the game.  He starts without a problem.  After it starts, I plugged the modem in.  I don't know if the Gaming Live runs from there, but at least I can play in campaign mode (which is what I wanted to do anyway).
