MS Office teacher & 2002 edition will run on windows 7 Home Premium?
My existing operating system is MS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. It also has MS Office teacher & edition 2002, everything that I want to keep (I have yet 2 licenses for the software).
My question is I am about to buy a new Dell with Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) laptop and I'm not sure whether or not she will run the software MS Office student & teacher 2002 above. Will it take for the new laptop currently on the order of upgrade to Windows 7 Professional because it has XP mode which is not Windows 7 Home Premium?
Technophobemad,
You need to go to Windows 7 Ultimate to use Office 2003. It is fully compatible with Windows 7 64 bit.

Seagate has created the launcher setup.exe usually run in windows 7 Home premium
I have an office for the expansion of Seagate 2 to external HARD disk, it is recognized by windows 7 Home premium.
The problem is that the setup.exe for Seagate Launcher will not run.Once again you ask about Seagate software in a software MS forum, while you are asking in the wrong place. If I remember (it has been a while) because this whole program is to install an interface to their public services. But you really need to ask to Seagate. You ask Ford on a part of Chevy would you?
Good luck.

Windows Virtual PC can be run on Windows 7 Home Premium?
Windows Virtual PC is compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium?
Everything I've seen indicates that XP Mode only works on Windows 7 Professional or ultimate edition, but I would like to know if I can just install Windows Virtual PC on Windows 7 Home Premium and then install my own copy of my old XP machine. I know that there is another program called Virtual PC 2007, but I have not seen anything to indicate that it is compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - daniHi Dani,
XP mode only works on the teacher/business or ultimate edition.
But you can install the Microsoft Virtual PC on your Home Premium if your CPU/BIOS support VT and install your old XP in a new virtual machine.

How can I get Lotus Organizer 97 GS to run in Windows 7 Home Premium?
I have the relevant CD Rom, but on inseting it my machine, I get an error message.
What have you tried?
What is the exact error message and when does it occur?
I do not have this program to try, but have you tried using the compatibility mode of Windows 7 and runs on an operating system (maybe XP) it should work with?
It is not yet running, then try the "run as Administrator" privilege level as well check box and see if that helps.
If you can't even install, try to run the installer in compatibility mode to install it that way.

Hello
Could you please answer these money questions?
one) tell us you receive the exact error message?
(b) do you have the latest changes the software on your computer?
(c) don't update you the latest drivers for your graphics card?
To resolve this problem, try troubleshooting this issue with a clean boot to see if we can identify a program or driver causing the problem you are experiencing.
A clean boot to start Windows with some programs and drivers off or on selection. By doing this through trials and errors we can hopefully identify a specific cause of this problem. Here's how to solve problems with a clean boot:
Clean clean boot.
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
The user account control permission.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type
password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load starting points.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.
If the problem is resolved, make sure what third-party program is at the origin of the problem, referring to the link given below:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue. On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
If the problem persists, then you must update the graphics drivers and see if it makes a difference. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
2. in Device Manager, locate the device, and then double-click the device name.
3. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.
Now, try to follow the link provided to update a hardware driver that is not working properly and check the question below.

Well quite simply a Win 7 Home Premium computer can NOT act as a host [DRC] Remote Desktop is not a problem. If you want to see if something needs to connect remotely with the help of another program you can look in the event viewer for clues...
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/search#q=Event+Viewer
You can also go to Start and type services.msc in the search window. Start the component services snap-in and stop these three services. Set Manual as well.
If you suspect a virus or malware of any kind make sure you run a good antivirus program such as MSE or download and run Microsoft Safety Scanner or ESET online scanner...

running Microsoft Windows XP Home edition Version 2002 Service pack 3, used the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium upgrade?
I followed the instructions on the card that came with the software... indicating that, if I look at my computer it was telling me that my computer works... either 64 or 32, but it does not work. So my question is, how do you know?
You probably have the 32-bit version of XP (in most individuals, and if your system properties page does not have 64-bit, then you have 32-bit.)
However, if you now have XP 32 - bit or 64-bit XP isn't the issue that relate to your decision to install 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7. This decision depends on the question to know if your hardware can support a 64-bit operating system. In this regard, the main reason for users to install a 64-bit operating system is to allow the use of more than 4 GB of RAM. If your hardware does support more than 4 GB of RAM, there is no interest to install the 64 bit version of Windows 7.
You run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor? With what results?

After the system information window has had time fill, click Edit > select all, and then click Edit > copy.
