Artist Print 8 will run on windows 7

I used the artist press 8 to create greeting cards and our families calendars (I use my own photos, jpeg format) on my XP. I bought Print artist 22 to install on a newer computer, but found that it will not open the artist Print files that I saved.  My XP is dying and I wonder if I can install the old artist press 8 on the new Windows 7.  I'm in the middle of calendar this year and cannot print the rest.  It is at least 100 hours of work.  Help! Artist Print 8 was designed to run on Windows 95/98/NT, so it is quite old. You can try to install in compatibility mode Windows 7. To learn how, see:

Longer term and much better solution to be translated you artist Print 8 files into something that can be read by Print artist 22 on Windows 7. Print artist 8 when you open save it in as long as (assuming that it works this way), is there a list of the types of files (as in .xyz) in the menu drop-down? If so, write these down. Now in Print artist 22 when you try to open a file is there a list of the file types that it can open. If so, write these down.

The trick now is to search for a file type in the list "save under" to print 8 artist who also appears in the 'Open' list to print artist 22. You would then be able to save your files in this format in artist Print 8 then open them in Print artist 22.

I don't use Print artist, but the advice above is solid when trying to solve this kind of problems with programs.

If you have trouble with the types of files, just after the 2 lists to come back here and someone will try to advise you further.
