Hands of character?

How would you store various hand poses and placing them on my character at different times in a scene. Keyboard shortcuts? But what the position of the hands as well? Transform the behavior? It would be much easier to have a small box of all my poses and drag the and position them in the scene how I would want for the amount of frames I want and then move on instead of keyboard shortcuts and having to manipulate the coordinates of transformation for each pose. Suggestions?

Here's an example of of hand with triggers kb poses. It is the puppet of fury.

  • How to create a character bar header that is displayed correctly in all resolutions - Firefox Linux 20

I am trying to learn how to create Personas for Firefox and already have one that I use locally, but I came across some unexpected behavior: if I create a header bar that is 3000 X 200 pixels, as specified in the guidelines, only the right third or greater displays in my browser when the theme is applied. To get this header to display 'properly' (which I find cosmetic) I have to resize the header to 1280 X 85 pixels.

Must not the scale of the bar header automatically, or do I have to produce a header of persona to each width of possible resolution so it can display correctly?

For what it's worth, the page footer appears at the third showing the left hand, but it's not so reprehensible in this case.

A screenshot of the character is available at http://www2.netdoor.com/~horus/Persona_2013-04.png.

Thanks for the ideas. I feel that I must be misunderstanding something here.

(I tried to send troubleshooting information the first time, but it overflowed the limit of characters...)

Persona pictures 'adapt', only as a large part of the image is displayed as you have resolution for. IOW, 1280px wide only about 1/3 of the image appears, as you discovered. This is the way in which Personas were designed to work.

  • Use GREP to apply paragraph styles, character styles not only

I have a body of text, and in it, I would like to apply a specific style to the paragraphs corresponding to a model. I did a GREP style that applied some changes formatting of paragraphs, I tried that it affects, but in doing so, I found that I couldn't Center these lines using a character style. (The corresponding lines should be centered, and the rest should be left aligned.)

I was thrilled to learn that the GREP function, then completely disappointed with this limitation. InDesign offers the possibility to automate this, so I must not cross and Center each paragraph corresponding to the hand?

    Thank you!

InDesign provides a way to automate this so?

Yes and no. There is no dynamically linked paragraph styles to a paragraph about his boss, but he has at least two alternatives:

    (1) use Grep-F/C

    (2) use the script FindChangeByList or MultiFindChange which is basically automate operations F/C

  • You can automate assigning a different color in the paragraph styles to each character?

    Hello

I am trying to find a way to create a paragraph style that will apply a different color to each letter automatically (to avoid having to change each character by hand.) like this:

    productrange.jpg

Maybe it's not possible with styles, but if anyone has any other tips would be great. See you soon!

If you want to keep the order of the colors in your RED letters > PURPLE > GREEN you have to exclude white space and choose 'Letters' instead of 'characters '.

In your case after the Green letter 'Y', the next letter 'V' should be red, but it's Purple

I imported the extracted file 4. Great character!

Then, I selected the layer of body and added a draggable handle in each hand in the Panel of the puppet.

Everything seems to work well. I tried to debug your project, but the chproj requires that the files next to him. I'm guessing that you have a fixed or movable handle somewhere which is in conflict with the draggable handle, that you want to use.

If you had a movable handle on the body AND on the character, which would create a situation like this.

  • Puppet animator of the character using the accessories

    Hello

I'm relatively new to the animation of the character æ and have been using it without too many problems. I wanted to take my puppets up a notch and include accessories to use. I'm in trouble because I have a scene in which a character is playing the guitar. The left hand meets the movable left spindle and move his own, but the law does not work; It moves just the entire torso.

I think it has something to do with how the mesh is playback of the animation puppet character or how I'm labeling layers in Photoshop (see pictures attached). I have not met a forum on this particular problem though, so if anyone has answers, I would be grateful.

Looking at the mesh & layers, CH doesn't seem to understand that his right arm is distinct from the body - note that the left is not overlap of the body (just the guitar), where is your right.

Right now, my recommendation would be to start in your PSD with your character arms away from the body (more than a pose A or T), add the draggables and sticks and then drag it from there for the animation. If you always use the chain issues, try what actually deform independent and using the stuff of style tie you're doing for the guitar.

With the upcoming 4 excerpt, I'd say make the right arm independent Warp and use the basic tool to secure it to the shoulder. So little time, you will have a much easier workflow for this.

  • Hands before heads

    Hello guys...

I wonder if there is a way to move the same below of arm in his head and torso. Or any other way to solve the problem.

More tutorials are on their way - hopefully for the launch of 4 Overview this summer! I'm busy scripts now.

The best example I've seen to do with this user has been using layers of cycle. So they had no movable arm, but animation frame by frame entirely driven by. The hands started the tour of the character, but then with key elements, the character reached behind him and pulled out a sign. If you only need the hands behind the figure for a fraction of a second as it take something, it perhaps is the way forward.

This video shows a little more than a few layers of simple cycle. Instead of the eyes or mouth, I'm showing here, imagine doing this with arms.

For groups or layers Warp independently of their parent group, add a "+" to the beginning of the name of the layer in PS / HAVE. It's the same select group in the Panel of puppets and by checking the Warp option independently in the properties panel.

Once a group is warping independently, it will be attached to its origin at the origin of the group from its parent by default. You can join a different handful in the parent using the fix to the popup in the properties panel. In Preview 3, if you want to move the origin, you need to do in PS / HAVE. In future releases, you will be able to change the origin directly in the Panel of the puppet.

If this doesn't solve your problem, you can post a screenshot of the hierarchy of layer here, to see if there is another structural problem.

  • Anyone know how to create a loop of a walking character?

    Hello!

I'm doing a video and must demonstrate a market character (it's a big 'a' with legs) on a mobile globe (like traveling from one city to another). I need both the planet and the character in a loop.

I guess I need to create a loop for the composition of 'A' and another loop to the mobile world with cities.

My experience at AE is more editing and Visual effects, and I've never done anything like that.

Can someone give me a hand on this? How can I do this in the best possible way? I would really appreciate it.

    Thank you very much

  • Minesweeper point on body / hand puppet together to deal a simple skin? (2)

    Hello

I have a problem similar to that in post claytor1999 Minesweeper point on body / hand puppet together to deal a simple skin?, when you drag a body hand moves with him. I tried to remove layers, the order of the different layers, etc. Could someone take a look at the Illustrator file: Adobe Creative Cloud and the character animation project folder: Adobe Creative Cloud? Appreciate it.

    Nice character!

    A few tips:

    (1) updated for Preview 3 (which looks like to you use Preview 2), and then create a new project and reimport the file I - This avoids having the 'old' version of behaviours of the previous version (that are good to keep things looking the same, but in your case it did not work in any case, better to get the new behaviors)

    (2) because the key in his right hand is very close to his body, the mesh closes upward - you can see this by checking the option Show Mesh at the bottom of the Panel of puppets and by selecting the layer "body" (or any which another layer on the same mesh). You can fix a few different ways:

    • (A) move the key to be a little further away from the leg (and same for the Toolbox on the other side: that it overlaps do not body)
    • (B) change the lattice extension in the properties of 3-to-1 Panel. This solves the problem with the key, but not the box tool
    • (C) change the images box & key to tools to make their own net. For a subpuppet (i.e. the layer group) you can just check the Warp option independently in the properties panel. But 'skins' (i.e. non-groupes) do not have this option. If you add a '+' in front of the name in artificial intelligence, Ch will automatically define Warp Indpendently for you (and for skin, automatically create a surrounding the group to enable it to happen). Thus, rename 'tools' to '+ tools' artificial intelligence. You'll probably also want to divide one for the left hand and the other for right hand tools as they move independently.

    (3) you probably want to add some fixed handles to prevent the body from flopping autour when your head moves. Do it with the Pin tool in the control panel of the puppet, with the selected organization. And then to add keyboard triggers for change of hands, etc.

  • Best way to build the character animator guns?

So, I noticed that even when the mesh is properly applied to my character, arms always move in a very clumsy and rubbery. I tried to use sticks, but what I really need, is a kind of hinge where the arm can rotate a point instead of being deformed.

At that time, host of character does not support inverse kinematics, which allows you to grab the hand and to solve the equations of the joint angle in order to position the rest of the arm.  Sticks are used lines in the distorted image that remain rigid control.  That being said, I've seen good results by creating two sticks by arms; one of the shoulder to the elbow, another from the elbow to the wrist.

  • Is there a way to rig hands to "grab" an object

Is it possible to rig hands to grab an object and move it?

Can be a little more specific on what is your final goal?  There are several ways to do this, but depends on what you're trying to do.

If you want to use the character in a Photoshop project, you can use the button 'save libraries to CC.  Which will be auto-rig the character (including full rings).  In Photoshop, you can use the Feature Animation 3D CC looking for an animation that matches what you want to do (swinging a sword, tennis games, etc.).  Most of the animations are already equipped with gripped hands for appropriate queries so that you can mostly done automatically.

If you want to use the character in an external project or create your own custom 3D software poses you can use the button 'Save to Mixamo' fuse.  Who will be auto-rig the character and send it to Mixamo.com - an online coaching service that allows you to animate and rigging characters online.  Then, you can download it as a file .dae, .fbx or and consider in almost any 3D software to ask personalized.

Let me know if this is useful or if you have more specific questions about the workflow!

  • Why do all body disappear when I trigger a new hand?

    hand disappera.jpg

the! syntax means a "trigger are mutually exclusive. the trigger allows you to hide all the elements at the same level as the item triggered.

In this case, it means "right hand", "right arm", 'left arm', 'left arm', 'set', 'torso and shoes"and"pants"all get hidden when the trigger occurs. If you want to just replace the two arms, put these two works of art in their own group.

You can read more about the key triggers on page 25 of the document help here

  • Hands glued to the body! Why?

I made a character who works perfectly... done another (photoshop), the same exact way (move the mouse, followed by the points in the hands etc.), but the hands stick to the body, dragging the torso all instead of being separated.
I copied even all the parts in the first file of character to see if it worked, but continues to be the same thing. Am I missing something really obvious in the process when editing in photoshop?
I'm all name correctly and put them in the right places etc... He drives me crazy!

Hi, Gary... This can happen if using a rectangular Mesh Contour vs. If you open the puppet in the puppet Panel, select the subpuppet layer that contains the mesh, and then click the check box show Mesh. The mesh seems rectangular? If so, the shape of the mesh can select rectangular because maybe some layers do not overlap (that is, there are islands of content). If you pass the Mesh shape specifically to the Contour and it behaves as expected, please post a screenshot of your graphic design here (pointing to the mesh) or if you want to keep private, do not hesitate to send me a direct message with a link shared your file of the work. Thank you.
