  You can disable the accentuation of the sound in Windows 7 and check if the problem persists.

  a. click Start, and then type sound in the search field.

  b. in the list programs, click on her.

  As a last resort, I would use an autoloader to reload the operating system.  If this does not work after that then it is a hardware failure, or the device is not compatible with the networks in your area.  Assuming that this worked before and suddenly left leads me to believe that it's a hardware problem.

  Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  What you have going here is not a hardware problem.  It is a common problem with windows 8.1 and an update.
