Hardware problems in R100 - unidentified network controller
Device Manager displays an exclamation mark for a my R100-ish network controller. It says the drivers are not installed, and it is located at the 2 PCI bus, device 10, function 0 (I'm back-translation from Spanish XP interface).
I would like to know what this device looks like when the driver is located, so I know what to do update/installation/looking for. Can anyone help? I do not seem to have hurt BUT
(a) I get BSOD (stop screen 0X000000B8) if I plug a USB cable modem (no difficulty if I use an Ethernet connection instead, so I don't simply use USB)
and
(b) I am YET to use WiFi, but wish in the future, once I know that everything is in place and functioning very well and safely. As far as I know, WiFi's gone.
All Toshiba suggests on the phone is a complete reinstallation, but frankly I don't have the time now. Suggestions welcome.
Hello

Windows 7 network controller problem
Hi guys:
I have Windows 7 HP Home Premium. I have re-installed just now. Now I've lost
my ability to network controller. I'm now working on a stick.
You name it, I tried it (for solutions) up to and including the programs 'stand alone '.
I read today where the difficulty is from stubborn Microsoft
When it comes to things like the update of drivers and updates period, when it comes
for any other OS than 10, so I ask... is there a net controller that I can d/l who
will it work on W7? Thank you, Carl
Hello Carl,
According to your description, I understand that you have faced problems installing your network controller after you have reinstalled Windows 7 Home premium.
Microsoft provides surely as readers for the most commonly used device drivers which get installed automatically based on the requirements for your computer. Also, make sure that you check the optional updates too, that your network driver could have been which are listed there.
If you get no device drivers in your windows updates. I would contact the manufacturer of your computer and get the latest drivers for your Windows 7 computer. Your computer manufacturer is one who is responsible for and must provide the drivers for your computer as they understand your computer better in terms of hardware.
Hope this information helps. If you need more assistance or information on this question, reply to this post. I'll be happy to help you.
Thanks and greetings

Hi, I just bought a new laptop from HP 2000-2d03SQ and a D-link router. I installed the router on the old pc I wanted to ditch the laptop wifi internet access. and that's where my problem begins... I managed to install most of the drivers, network controller and SM Bus controller show signs of yellow exclamation next to them in the Device Manager... tried to update with the windows updates, but nothing good happens, it says that it can find the drivers.
Regarding the bluetooth.
You are the very welcome.
Let's try another...
If this does not work, please let...
Go to Device Manager.
You will see a labeled device network controller and it will be a little! mark next to him.
It is the wireless card that needs a driver.
Click the network controller device. At the top of the network controller window, click the Details tab.
Now, you see a Description of the list system default list drop-down property.
Drop down on it and select the second element (Hardware ID).
Now, you see 3-4 lines of characters, the upper line starting with PCI\VEN.
After this first line of characters.

Vista unidentified network problem
My HP G60 laptop under vista home premium got an "unidentified network" problem and not able to get on the internet. I even tried to reinstall vista to factory default, still the same problem with my wireless router.
Spec:
-HP G60 laptop computer, running vista Home premium 32-bit, with 3 GB of RAM
-Belkin router
-I am able to connect via a fine wired line but with a Wi - Fi, it shows constantly 'unidentified network', even if I changed the Private mode in network and sharing Center.
-J' tried the following: listed an SSID different router, reset the router by default, to reinstall vista, tried other mechanisms, such as specified in the forum, with no difference
-When you configure the router, I have clone MAC of the laptop to the router to get the connection with Comcast, has done that with network cable connected, internet connection worked well after cloning.
-no virus SW installed.
Any suggestions on what might be the solution here? Thank you.
Hello
It seems that something is blocking the wireless to connect to the wireless router and to obtain a valid IP address.
Maybe this can help.
These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.
Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg
If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.
Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

------------------
The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.
Make sure that if there are teas from Wireless Utility of seller does not work with the native Windows wireless utility (Service WLAN).
----------------
Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.
Some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible set up the firewall correctly, otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.
If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .
party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.
---------------------------
Stack TCP/IP work should look like.
Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.
http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg
Description is the data of the card making.
The physical address is MAC of the card number.
The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).
YY should be between 0 and 255
ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)
The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.
* Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.
* Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.
---------------------------------------------------
A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.
Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.
Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.
If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.
Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

Can someone help me with the problem of Vista Home Wireless (unidentified network)
I recently replaced my wireless router and now I get "Unidentified network - Local access" when you try to connect to my network.
This problem occurs only with this computer Vista Home. (All other wireless devices have any problems (Win7 netbook, iPad, PS3, etc).)ipconfig/all shows me a valid ip address, subnet mask and gateway also seems to have a Mac address of zero.Norton Internet Security was installed, but I have removed and still have the same problem.Hello
Position of your router would be suspicious here. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
obstacles in the path?Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.
Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htmHow to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.htmlDownload - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.
You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.
After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like
updated drivers.I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they
are almost always old, and you can search drivers manually as needed. How to disable automatic driver Installation in Windows Vista - drivers

Make sure you know the details of connection to your wireless router - SSID and password.
You lose connection when you do and have to redo your logon.
Control Panel - Network & Sharing Center - right, click Customize - page set of network locations.

others you don't use anymore) - REBOOT. Start - Connect To log on to the network.-----------------------------------------------------

Vista "Local access only" and "Unidentified network" problem
Hi recently my Windows Vista Home Premium - 32-bit has had problems with the internet.
It was only said 'Local' next to the 'access' and said "Unidentified network" and used to connect me on the internet.
This problem occurs when you try to connect through an Ethernet cable to the Modem and the router and also while wireless.
I know that this is not the fault of my Modem/Router, because my laptop says this when I try to connect about internet anybodies.
Ive spent a good 3 days on this problem, looking for every website I could find searching for answers. NONE of them have worked :(
Ive done everything except Microsoft and their paying a call answer...
So if someone can help me, please and id love for it :)
Also I know people will ask ipconfig/all, but I'll wait for a response and download what the person asking. Thank you.
I will not need now, I used a program called "Connectify" on my windows 7 laptop. (connectify is a program that acts as a hotspot access point)
Somehow I was able to connect my Windows Vista computer to the internet via Connectify and I ran all the updates on my laptop with Windows Update, now I am able to connect to my router and modem without any problem.
Hope that if anyone else has this problem, they can also use Connectify to Windows 7 computers and difficulty there problems internet as I :)

Hi MButIer,
-How long have you had this problem?
-Was any change in software because the computer before the show?Follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1:
Temporarily disable the antivirus software (and any other security software) and the firewall on the computer as a test. Once disabled check if you can connect to the internet without any error.
If disabling the antivirus software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the antivirus as a result program. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.
Note: Make sure that you enable the antivirus software, other security and firewall programs.
Warning
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
