hardware-software of Dvd 7020ct does not

Does anyone know how to fix the software dvd for the ct 7020? The player software does not load correctly. I'm on windows xp so maybe it is not compatible with this because it has been done for win98? If anyone out there has a ct of 7020 with dvd player software that works, I would be grateful if you could tell me which files I need or what I missed. I want to download other software dvd player, except that the computer is too slow to decode dvd video so I need something that connects the hardware decoder in the dvd player.

Hi jdel,
Normally, your Portégé is slow to decode a DVD video.

The second problem is that Windows XP has not tested on this machine.

The only thing you could try is the following. One of my colleagues uses its Portege with Windows 2000, one must install a driver of DVD to watch his DVD s, why not try this driver with your Windows XP?

The URL to download drivers is http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com, search for "Support and downloads" and click on "Download drivers". After you have selected your model, select Windows 2000 as an operating system.

Good bye

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure at the opening of the service registry entry, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service registry entry.

  • CD/DVD drive does not work after 8 Win instalation

Since a month since I've updated my windows in windows 8, everything works fine but the DVD - RW.

When I put the blank cd and try to open it, it gives me error when opening by saying:

  • Satellite A200 - 23P - mechanic of DVD - rom does not

I'm sorry for my English in advance this topic! -Thank you

I have a very big problem with my engraver of DVD (RM).
    I bought SAT A200 - 23P three weeks ago.
The Win VISTA operating system has been installed. DVD - rom worked well.

If I have installed Win XP to the second partition on my HARD drive (to install the disk with driver for sata drive in nlite) and installed all the drivers and utilities for Toshiba laptop, I found that my DVD-rom is not working while I press eject button.

Mechanic of DVD is not responding to eject in XP and not even in the BIOS!
It is interesting, mechanic DVD is the detection in BIOS, detects in XP, XP operating system votes - mechanic to the DVD works properly - its fable.

However, if I have installed XP on the second partition, Win Vista does not load :(
I don't have a second chance for second selection (Vista and XP).
I now have XP only, even if Vista is on the first partition - I didn't delete it.

Do you think that the DVD-rom is HW or SW problem?
I think that, given that the DVD-rom does not in the BIOS - HW error.

But is very strange, if I install XP from mechanic to the DVD and then close is, DVD - rom does not...:)

If I manually open and insert the CD, the DVD does not (diode led no blink, just if I turn off the computer, led blinked once).

    PLS help me someone-

    Thank you!

    Hi Michal

Your question is very strange, I mean the number of CD/DVD drive

The fact is that the readers of CD/DVD eject function functions should any operating system has been installed on your laptop. It has nothing to do with your software on the HARD drive.

So I wonder why the eject button works with Vista and not XP preinstalled OS?  :|

My only plausible explanation is that sometimes there is a bad connection between the laptop and the drive. However the problem could be related to the hardware problem too

As you see it s not easy to say what's wrong exactly, we can only speculate.

Now some details about your installation of OS double.

You cannot choose between Windows XP and Vista because Vista boot manager was obliterated during the installation of Win XP.
This happened to me also. I installed Win XP on my Satellite and could not start Vista.

The solution was simple; I used another original DVD of Vista (from my friend) and booted from this DVD. Vista has renewed the Boot Manager, and then I was able to boot Vista.

Then I downloaded the tool called Easy BCD.
This tool can change the Vista Boot Manager settings. I've edited and inserted a new Windwos XP OS entry.

    That s it!

  • My DVD drive does not recognize DVD game discs.

My NEC ND-4550-reader DVD - RW does not recognize DVD game discs.
He has no problem reading movie DVDs and music CDs or access data CD and DVD burnt with data on them.
I removed and let XP Reinstall the device and high-low filters removed the registry etc nothing works.
I made a copy of a DVD game on another PC and it is recognized and install my PC.
All DVD discs work very well on the other PC.
I am running Windows XP Professional with SP2.
MS Fixit controls indicate no problems.
This would be a matter of software protection?
All tried game DVDs are official records and not copies.
The NEC ND-4550 uses cdrom.sys as pilot.

Finally, I replaced the drive for a new one (Pioneer DVR-S18L) and everything now works as it should.
So I suspect that it's a hardware problem and not one that can be resolved by any of the Windows settings.

  • I have a computer running VISTA. The CD-ROM/DVD-rom does not work and can not read the CD of the program that I placed in it.

It won't read a DVD.  It will not read ANY CD or DVD.  I tried 12 different CD/DVD.  This isn't an upgrade to Vista; the computer came "made for Vista" with Vista installed on it.  I had added Nero.  I removed Nero.  I did all the updates. I have not released the driver and reinstalled.  He claims to have the latest driver software, but it won't work.  The computer can see the CD/DVD, but he calls it a 'CDROM '.  It is not the case.  It is a DVD/Cd-RW with Labelflash.

I did everything suggested that past discussions.  I ran FIXIT program that claims that the drive works properly.  It is not the case.

I tried to get various programs to recognize.  They cannot see the installed media.

    I uninstalled iTunes.

Please do not give me the answer of cut-and - paste stock; It does not work.

Please tell me what to do to make Vista see the media inserted in the CD/DVD-RW drive.

    Thank you.

Device Manager, but it tells me that the current driver is the more up-to-date version.
In the properties of the drive, I found that my driver version is: 5.1.2535.0

What is a simple problem that has a solution?
I don't see other actions to find the root of the problem.

    Thank you

  • DVD player does not accept disks

My '' integrated '' DVD player does not read the disc (DVD, BluRay, any region code), but it ejects after a small delay of about 1 to 2 minutes.  Is there a diagnostic software to find the problem?

Your Super Drive never read blu ray and probably did not. Try a cleaning disc. Try resetting the memory NVRAM How to reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support and SMC reset management system (SCM) controller on your Mac - Apple Support

Finally buy and inexpensive external optical drive, but not apples Super USB drive because it does not work with your Mac.

    Hey Osama

I think I can help you. The questions that appear on your laptop are not serious and the only one associated with software or registry.

    Regarding your noise problem:
    Please check this Microsoft document
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929685/en-us
    or
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/937077/

the MS update must be downloaded and installed ;)

    Regarding the missing CD/DVD drive;
I think you should try to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot the laptop. Then the operating system should recognize the STRANGE again.
Secondly you should access the registry editor and should remove the upper filter and bring back the key filter
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  • DVD writer does not recognize 'NEW' blank DVD - r (Windows XP)

    Hello

I have a question that has been annoying me a lot during the last few weeks, as follows...

I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 computer is running Windows XP service pack 3, it has a cd/DVD burner in this model (HL-DT-ST DVD +-RW GWA4164B), I used to be able to burn CDs and DVDs fine, so please respond with lol 'maybe your drive doesn't burn DVDs' as you can see in the model # it's a DVD +-RW drive.

But my problem is the following... for some reason the DVD burner does not detect the 'NEW' blank DVD - R, there is no problem of detection of blank CD - R disc and I can burn fine on the CD - R. But for some reason it does not detect blank DVD?

When I put one in the drive, I don't get the popup asking what I want to do etc, or to go to WORKSTATION and look a the drive it shows no media present.

I have Nero Platinum 15 installed in my burning software, which has a function of DISK INFORMATION, which also shows that 'no disk in drive '.

    I have re installed Nero...

I uninstalled the drive and re installed

Re, I installed the latest drivers for Dell Optiplex

I bought a second axis of new blank DVDs

I took out what I left little hair!
