hasDataCoverage fails for Playbook WebWorks

Hello

'HasDataCoverage' should work for Blackberry Playbook Simulator (beta 2)?

I'm using the SDK WebWorks... and get the error message: "you are not in the coverage, try adding cities later.

Do I have to activate something else, or if this feature is not enabled on the playbook Simulator.

Thanx, H.

PS: Do not know if there is somewhere else to post Playbook & Webworks related research - there is no Tablet OS section for webdev, only for AdobeAir

hasDataConnection returns true if there is at least one network interface active on the PB. It works fine on a real device. For some reason, the Simulator always returns false. It might be because of the VMware virtual network bridge.

  • Is there an API for developing WebWorks Playbook file picker?

I'm looking for a way to ask the user to navigate to a file and then access the file in javascript. For the same reasons, I can not use the input type HTML field 'file '.

Is there an equivalent for Playbook?

    Hi asiayeah,.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be something similar to this extension in space Tablet currently. Seems that you need your own custom control (WebWorks APIs leverage) or extension (to dig down in the AIR or AIR > native) for this right now.

  • Try to install webworks for playbook on Mac: empty installation screen!

    Hello!

I tried to install WebWorks for Playbook on my Mac OS X 10.6.8.

First I downloaded with Safari, unzipped in and run it. The installation program requires the password for the admin user (I am logged on as administrator), and then I saw a progress bar and finally a blank screen and a blue 'next' button in the lower right.

Last message in the console is something about Apple Script I think:

Someone at - it an idea?

    Thank you very much!

  • Audio player of PlayBook webworks.

I'm playing the audio data from the system of local files and internet audio stream.

I tried blackberry.audio.Player method explained in the documentation of the api webworks. I guess the playbook does not have this object installed, because as far as I can see, I'm an exception due to the access to the object not initialized.

Secondly, I tried jplayer, which uses the music player if html5 html5 extensions are available, and falls to adobe flash player if html5 is not successful. It has always failed...

Third, I tried the pure html5 player. I can see the commands, the audio length is displayed with '-' value? (I did not understand why?) but no sound.

I tried the method of second and third in google chrome, it works. Do you have an idea what could be wrong? What is the recommended method for the audio playin?

    Hello

There was some discussion around this topic on the forums.  The blackberry.audio API is only on the smartphone platform... The PlayBook WebWorks APIs can be found here:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/WebWorks/API/PlayBook/

Audio not playing is not in the Simulator is a known problem.  The 0.9.4 Simulator comes not with any codecs to be able to play the video or audio.  This will be corrected in the final RTM version of the Simulator.

    Hi bugloaf

    If you are running

    bbwp c:\Users\Lane\Downloads\sketchPadStandard.zip

    then your compilation should work.

If you specify the absolute paths try paths

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks Packager for PlayBook\bbwp>bbwp c:\Users\Lane\Downloads\sketchPadStandard.zip /s c:\OUT_DIR /o c:\OUT_DIR\compiled /v

    Njoy coding

  • Can I use the same key signature for the WebWorks bar and bar of the Android app?

Am I able to use the same key to sign transformed Android apps?  Tried several times and always got error: invalid password, while the same key/password works fine with Webworks bar signature. • No button back for Playbook and Z10

My request of WebWorks HTML5 for Playbook and Z10 occasionally open external web pages and at least in the Playbook there no back button during the display of the external web pages. How can I add a "back" button? I spent a few hours looking for solutions, without success. I looked at bbUI.js, but it seems not able to add a "back button" while looking at an external pages - unless I'm mistaken.

    Any suggestions?

Bb10, your solution is childBrowser: https://github.com/blackberry/BB10-WebWorks-Samples/tree/master/childBrowser

  • Scale of BB! 0 app for Playbook

Hi all, in excess of what can be described as sillyness, I created a game in webworks for my z10. I used fixed assets to the z10 resolution. now, I decided to port for playbook and obviously changing resolution is a bit problematic. is there a way I can use a tag of viewport to simply reduce the demand to adapt to the playbook? or do I have to do a lot of recoding and change the sizes of the assets?

    Please notify.

    Thank you once again,

I did some functions rather fancy mathematics and just placed a large div behind the screen with a black background color and voila it worked.

Thank you for your help. This issue is now closed

  • Documentation for config.xml for playbook

    Hey RIM,.

When you're you going to get out of the documentation for the file config.xml... all that right with a graphical interface for us in the web plugin eclipse...

I don't expect the same for the playbook, but really I don't know what should be the content of this file... No documentation would be not good (or if someone could tell me that would be great).

Right now, I'm just coding in the dark... I do a little better comments about what I think should be allowed in the XML (such as adding other areas...)

Here's the documentation you request: technical - grade Configuration Document .

This document is in the section BlackBerry WebWorks Developer Guides Web site.

Note: there is at least an inconsistency with the supported elements.  The element ' rim: transitionEffect "is not supported by the SDK WebWorks for PlayBook (but is for the Smartphone SDK).  I have a pending request with our documentation team to provide details on the other gap analysis.

    Sincerely,

I'm unable to install the Photosmart C410 series software and it fails when checking the system requirements, saying the USB hardware and necessary drivers are not present.  I tried with and without a USB cable installed and also tried to disable the security firewall. It fails for the same when USB problem only connected via WiFi. Hello
Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.

Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
    Open the installation folder.
Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) and run the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

    Kind regards
