HAVE cannot be saved in external RAID

I use OS x 10.11.4 and the latest version of Adobe CC of Illustrator. I can't register a new Illustrator file in my Facilis Terrablock SAN. Illustrator seems to record properly, but the file is displayed in the finder window. If I look at the file in the finder I've been saving, I briefly see the file appear, and then immediately disappears.

Adobe support insists that a problem with the server permissions. However, I have read/write privileges, and all the other adobe products are able to register without problems (first, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.). I can record on my local drive, copy it to the server, change the file on the server and save without problem, which seems to deny that it is a permissions problem.

It is an extremely irritating problem, because if I forget and do a "save under" for the server, I lose my file. It has burned me more than once, since there is no indication that something is wrong.

Anyone else seeing this?

I'm only to deliver the message. As with most of the people in this forum.

BTW: for some people working directly on their networks and external hardware works. Maybe it's some obscure settings somewhere between the two, but it's out of reach for Illustrator.

Does anyone have an experience on the use of an external drive of Raid0 for the directory of files work with LR3 + and Windows 7 64?  Raw files are mainly of a Canon 5 d 2, which makes them more 20Meg after conversion to DNG.

My workflow means that files are moved to other readers in a week or two and will be saved since the external RAID every day as well but is not on the backup, but rather a quick and flexible system that allows me to easily work with files on several computers.

  • Win7 log in problems: "the referenced account is currently locked and cannot be saved in.

I've seen a few posts related to this error, but nothing of quite like what I feel... My service company COMPUTER is perplexed and they have tried a bunch of stuff at the end server without result, so want to recreate the image on my computer, I don't want to just cause it's a pain.

I have 2 computers in my workplace. A desktop and a laptop both running Win7 that connect on the server in domain of companies. I use the same username and password for both, of course.
The problem is with the laptop. Occasionally when I try to log in, I get a notification "the referenced account is currently locked and cannot be saved in" and I can not connect. However, if I unplug the network cable and try it, it works. If I plug the power cable back in and lock the computer, restart the whatever, I can connect properly. However, after a few hours or days, it does the same thing.
So I'm not completely locked out of the system. It's really annoying to have to disconnect the network like that.
It has not always done this... It allows to work very well, but it seems to have just started for no apparent reason. The main difference between laptops and desktop, is that the laptop has Symantec PGP Whole Disk Encryption, while the office is not.
Any thoughts on what may happen and what can I do about it?

  • I have that one saved backup system, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

I run the Windows Image backup to a hard drive external on a weekly schedule. The result shows on the hard drive as "WindowsImageBackup\(User name)-PC\Backup (date) (number)"-currently about 80 GB (binary).

I reserve about 135 GB of available space for backups of the system, so I save only the last backup of the system.

So far, I have no problem with that.

However, the disk hard, there is another folder '(USER NAME)-PC' & under which is a folder "backup of files (date) (number)" for each time that the backup system runs.

These files vary considerably in size - for example, 1 GB, 12 GB, 22 GB. They delete or replace automatically - just, they accumulate.

What I want to know is ~.

What is the purpose\importance of these additional files?

Since I only have a single saved backup, is there a reason to keep additional files prior to the last backup of system? I can remove them systematically?

    Original title: Windows Image backup

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

File '(Computer name)-PC "contains the files necessary for the Windows. Data files saved in libraries, on the desktop, and if the Windows folders for all people with a user account on the computer are also recorded.

[The default Windows folders include AppData, Contacts, desktop, downloads, Favorites, links, saved parties and searches.]

The size of these files increases, because the content of the folders mentioned above increases.

For more information, see the article mentioned below:

  • The referenced account is currently locked and cannot be saved in

    Hello

About three days ago, I am entered the wrong password into my computer and received the error message, "the referenced account is currently locked and cannot be saved to." I let the computer turned on for a long time see if this resets eventually, but I get the same error message. There are no other accounts on the computer and I do not currently have a password reset disk or the Windows 7 installation CD. I tried to access the system settings to turn off the need for a password to log on to the computer and change the date and time system, so the time lock should be reset, but it did not work.
Any help would be appreciated, especially since if I had reset and reinstall, I would lose a lot of files and programs that I have purchased, which would be expensive to replace. Another friend of mine had a similar situation, but the blocking period was 30 minutes, so I'm not sure what the problem is here.
    Thanks for your help!

Your running your PC mode at high risk:

    -No disc reset
    -Only one single admin account
    -No backup file
-No installation media for your applications (and maybe no list of product keys)
    -No CD repair
Each of these steps takes only a little effort to implement. Without all in place, you are likely to get hurt someday. You can probably fix your current problem as follows:
-Ask a friend to burn a CD to repair for you.
-Start the computer with this CD.
-Use a system restore to set Windows in a week.
    -Revise the list above.
  • Gdiplus.dll error, point of entry DllRegisterServer was not found. This file cannot be saved

    Hello
I have a HP laptop Compaq Presario R3000 running XP sp2.
While trying to install software for my new HP laserjet printer 451color, I couldn't finish because my computer seems to have a problem with the file gdiplus.dll.  After a regsvr32 in the "Run" dialog box, I get the following message: "gdiplus.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.  This file cannot be saved. " This problem MAY occur in the past, while the installation of other software or printer, I don't remember, but I CAN get frustrated with it and simply ignored and passed without being able to use everything I tried to add. (I get so tired things does not in the way they are supposed to!)

I've updated to SP3, which did not help.  I am considering a system recovery. I don't want to lose all my programs, drivers, etc.. I did a search and read as a:
«Startup Repair replace only damaged or missing Windows startup files.» In a Windows XP repair install, Windows all files are replaced no matter whether or not they wish to. Note: If you use a disk to restore your computer manufacturer instead of an installation disc of original Windows download, a Startup Repair or repair install as stated in the above linked guides would not be possible. »
I don't want to click on the wrong thing and screw this place! Can anyone tell me if these a repair overwrite of the windows file system is an option with the operating system microsoft windows xp home sp1 disk?
Is there a better way to solve this problem?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks, Jeff

    jeffbrom,

While this article is not about the issue that you are experiencing it however has a patch to replace a bad file gdiplus.dll. Give the patch a whirlwind (it should replace and properly record) and I would like to know the results:

Recovery of DNG issue: I have photos stored on an external hard drive which have previously been imported into Lightroom and converted to DNG.  The laptop on which I was running Lightroom died and I had to replace the hard drive and rebuild the computer.  In the process of my Lightroom program and catalog related to these images have been lost.  When I re-associate these photos with my new installation of Lightroom and a new catalogue is there a way to retrieve the keywords or other changes or metadata catalogue Mountaga?  Is any of this information embedded with the imge DNG file or was it only in the cataloght lost on my failing hard drive? I re-import just as if it were new images with no prior treatment of Lightroom?

By default, LR saves all changes in the catalog, and that applies to any type of file.

Optionally, you can save changes to the file as well, for raw files owners, this will create a xmp file - for DNG that changes are going to be cooked in the file, without additional xmp file.

But it does not default. Go to the catalog and parameters under the control of metadata automatically save changes to XMP.

Unless you do this, the changes are saved only in the catalog.

    Hope this makes things clearer.

    Hello

When we try to edit any PDF file that is stored on a MicroSD card, then, first of all, the file must be saved in the internal memory to cause permissions defined by Android for external storage.

Due to limitations set by Google in Android 4.4 and above, it is not possible to change files that are stored on the SD card in system no App.

    Thank you

  • G - Tech & other external Raid configurations, Yes, no?

I'm trying to set up a new computer Setup & fair considering my options of raid:

I was wondering if anyone has comments on external raid configurations vs internal

I see this G-Speed-Q announced, anyone running this or something like this with any success?

It has built in HighPoint Raid card / all your comments on those?

Just try to keep the cost down, my new Setup looks more $4 000,00 with any raid array. Am new on configurations raid except what I have studied here but don't want cheep out and at the end upward with problems.

Harms Areca suggestion is well taken, but what I actually spend that much for a raid controller card that works well?  Also saw the CalDigit suggestions...

If I don't go with an external raid configuration, is there any Adaptec models that work well?

    Another question:

In Raid setup '0' / what is the minimum number of disks, I need to work with the HD video not compressed, as of a Sony Ex1r

Thank you people / novice Raid here / one-way now...

X 58 motherboards have 36 PCI-e lanes. In your case, that means 16 for the video card, 8 for the raid controller and 1 for the audio card for a total of 25 channels in use. All 4 motherboards are good, they only differ in any of the features, such as NIC simple or double, 2 or 3 PCI-e 16 x slots, 0 or 1 or 2 fire wire connectors, number of SATA connectors, etc. You must decide what set function is relevant for you. BTW, all XMP support and there is no discernible difference in performance between them. It's all about feature/price/warranty.

You are better off internal and external eSATA and firewire particularly raids. Best performance, expansion room, less clutter with cables and power cords. Take a look at the 1200 Areca or 1220.

SSD is way overrated and do not deliver a performance gain. I noticed only a unique advantage of SSDS on the classical records:

Of SSD empty your wallet quite effectively. By Go, they are 40 times more expensive than conventional discs without any performance gain.

If a Noctua NH - U12 or NH - D14 fit without modification is based only on the memory sticks that you use. Some are extremely high expansion of the fins that can complicate the installation. Especially the D14 can give problems, but the U12 does not, at least I have not heard on this issue.

Not being English is not my native language, you may have misinterpreted my statement about memory. You are familiar with serendipity, I guess. Looking for a needle in a haystack and finding the farmers daughter. I tried to find the article where I may have said something like that, but he did not. Neither I found farmers daughter also.

You are better off with 6 x 4 GB memory DDR3-1600 + sticks, but you must set the multiplier in the BIOS to use the memory at that speed.
