Have I not enough CPU not care that my GPU only ray-trace?

Hey Adobe-ites.

If I run tests of my new iMac 5 K (see image below), and I get the error message of Ray-Tracing on my GPU card not supported.

After effect tells me that my GPU is not supported, and I need a NVIDIA card with CUDA.

Since I do not have these and will certainly not get these, I'll notice a huge difference, because my CPU is fast enough?

And there at - there no way to solve this? -Rumor has it that released an update for AE - CC workaround.

In addition, in this particular scenario I would use this feature of ray-tracing?  I have a feeling that I would not miss it.  The work I do is not dependent on the flexion of the 2D to 3D objects.

Sincerely,

Ryan

The ray-traced rendering engine is not something to fear. (You can check the box to have the error message no longer appears.)

The After Effects team is not any development more in the ray-traced rendering engine. However, they put a lot of development in a more effective way to make 3d in AE: Cinema 4 d comes with After Effects for free!
