Have iCloud DRIVE, having 50 GB. But how to check?

ON the iPhone 5 with update iOS 9.3

I understand that the photos, files, and documents are automatically uploaded to

the reader.  But I don't seem to be able to check it out!

Y at - it a drop down menu?

This app may be corrupt in some way?

Thank you

Geoff

PS: I also two iPads at home, in use.

All the files are not stored in iCloud drive. Photos are sent to photos or photo library iCloud flows according to your settings. Other third party data may or may not be backed up according to the compatibility of applications with drive.

To see what is in the drive, go to settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive > display on the home screen. Then, press the drive iCloud on the homescreen icon.

For clean installation try to download Microsoft Media creation tool first. Using the tool, you can download a copy of the Win 8.1 installer. Save 8.1 only and not the PRO. During installation, the installation program does not the product key but it detect automatically your bios.

You will need to place the ssd instead of the original location of the hard drive to boot successfully.

    • Contact the manufacturer of the computer for help.
    • Using another computer, go to the computer manufacturer web site and download the drivers for your computer model.  Transfer them to your computer using a USB, external drive, CD, DVD, etc.

  • iCloud drive is empty

I have iCloud Drive on my iPad, but it is empty. However on my Mac everything is visible on iCloud drive. In addition, my contacts on my Mac sync properly with iCloud. Both my iPad and my Mac (El Capitan) tell me that I have the latest version of the software installed. what I am doing wrong?

Assuming that you sign in part two devices with the same Apple ID iCloud... I would say activating / deactivating then in each of the time iCloud on your iPad, or reset all the settings on your iPad to see if you can get the data to flow again.

Go to iCloud.com on your computer. Connection. Open iCloud drive.

Tap the tiny iCloud. Tap on Dropbox.

    Select a folder. I chose a picture.

Look at him to transfer to iCloud by car.

  • Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

-J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

-J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

-This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

-Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

-Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc. It's very confusing.

    This raises several questions:

-In the first place, why Apple hide Documents and office files in the directory? Why not view these folders in iCloud and directory?

-Whence the iCloud folder or drive, reside actually on my hard drive?

-What time Machine. Is it still back up my document files and folders?

-What games third-party app mirroring backup of My Documents files and folders? They still work properly? (I use Livedrive backup and Sugarsync for files mirrored across several macs).

-How can I understand that Apple is doing with my folders and files? Some users might be happy with the iCloud drive concept, without worrying about how it works, but I don't take chances, and I want to keep a good understanding about the functioning of my system.

Could someone explain what is exactly happening?

With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

If you want in the Favorites, open iCloud Drive and drag them in the sidebar here.

All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

  • iCloud drive appears when I want to send a file to, say, Messages, or attach a file to an e-mail.

How can I make the drive iCloud on my macbook pro (OS X El Capitan, v. 10.11.4) show when I want to send a file that are stored at anyone? Today was Messages which I pop up. Other times, it was in Outlook for Mac or Facebook.

What I ended up doing today opened the relevant folder on iCloud, select the file and share it. If I try the function "send a file" in the Messages, the drive does not appear. I have visible in the sidebar of Finder, but I can see it only when I'm in = the Finder, not when I use a soft.

I checked all the settings I can think, looked through the articles of help and FAQ on apple.com, but couldn't find an answer to something that seems simple enough.

    Thanks for any help!

Messages for OSX is very basic. You cannot navigate to the iCloud drive to get a file to attach.

You can however, as you can see, push a file to iCloud drive to the Message using the share menu on iCloud drive.

That is how it is designed. The iOS app is similar, but you can attach a picture here but only from the photo app or the Photos app, once again, not iCloud drive.

  • iCloud Drive on my mac stops the synchronization of non-standard files

In my iCloud account, I created two folders (individuals and businesses) in addition to standard folders.  Standards are iMovie, Keynote, Numbers, etc.  On my MacBook Pro (OSX Yosemite V10.10.5), these non-standard files synchronizes any more.

A solution is to disable iCloud drive, and then restart, but the problem is recurring.  In addition, it is a lot of your time, because whenever I turn it on, it deletes all of my computer and you should download again on restart.

Is there a solution to this?  Non standard folders are not supported?

BTW: The iCloud drive on my Windows PC works perfectly...  Hmmm

Have you tried the signature to iCloud and then reconnect?

  • iCloud drive does not download for mac

Hello. I got about 15 GB of videos on my mac before I wiped the whole device (formatted the SSD drive and reinstalled a clean software). Because I don't have a time capsule or an external drive if big, I backed up my most important data including videos on my iCloud drive (I have the capacity of 50 concerts). Now, the files don't download on my mac. I see the pie indicator next to my iCloud drive in the finder, but once it is full, it disappears, but my files are still not in my mac. I also tried to let the mac closed with and without power (to download in the NAP) and leaving free and its use while he was supposed to be downloading, but without success.

When you put the video in the cloud, did you leave it long enough to download completely.

  • iCloud Drive drains the battery + makes iPhone verry HOT

    Hello world.

When I start iCloud Drive on my iPhone it starts downloading files. Only when I'm with iPhone it cause my camera is very hot on the upper back (more than 41 degrees celsius) and battery drain about 2% of all the 1 minute or faster! Sometimes the breaks straight from 79% to 55%.

I have about 120 GB on iCloud Drive but I don't have it on my camera! I just need keyboard shortcuts, pages, numbers, and other application data.

I turned off cellular data on iClod drive, so when I turn off iPhone WiFi goes back to normal, but sometimes I have to use WiFi. That is why is WiFi, no? I'm looking for solution, but one that I see at the moment is iCloud alteration to Dropbox.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    J.J.

If you have a lot of data in iCloud it will synchronize by car to the phone. But this should happen only once; After that, you must synchronize only the files that have been changed. There is a difference between iCloud Drive and Dropbox: Dropbox keep files in the cloud until you are referencing the with an application on the phone. iCloud drive reflects all the contents of all devices that have iCloud drive active.

  • Can I record a .docx in iCloud drive

Using the Word application on an iOS iPhone 5s 9.3.2,and can I create a document, edit it, then save it in iCloud drive?

I don't see a way to do this, then, is - this impossible or am l being a bit dim?

I want to only use the Word app because it has the Mobile view that expands text using word wrapping. I can't find a similar to the Pages app installation so that the text is too small, or I have to scroll horizontally developed text (no word wrapping?)

If you have iCloud drive enabled on your device, you should probably be see in your stock options in your app Word. If this isn't the case, you can wrap in the pages. If you select the text box, you can then tap on the Brush tool and hosting options.

Depending on the size of your object, with respect to the text, you are that surround it, this can interact differently. See if your resizing object does not affect the package after you have applied that pages.

  • icloud drive I can copy from my external hard drive and takes no space on my internal flash drive

I have a macair with 128 GB, I want to copy movies from my external HD to my icloud drive so that I can access without it too much space on my internal flash drive. I have 200 GB of storage on my icloud drive

If you have iCloud drive turned on in your MacBook Air, it automatically keeps a local copy on your Mac. If you hold down Option key and open the menu go to the Finder and click library, and then click Documents Mobile (or more simply click on iCloud drive in the menu go to the Finder), it will take you to the location of the local copy.

It is design direction to the synchronization of data between the devices rather than as a place of storage, where the only copy is in the cloud.
