• Issue of pagination, especially with master pages

  I got a doc InDesign already worked on another designer, of my client, who needed the reworked paging. The previous designer had value on 16 master pages with all sorts of settings, that creates havoc.

  With the page you would like to become page 4A put highlight in the menu available, or in the Pages palette, choose the numbering and Section Options.

  From there, you can choose the Section start and designate this page as page 4.

  You will also need to go to page 1 and make the same thing, in order to change the page numbering style other than 1,2,3. This prevents you from having two pages 1-4.

  I started to update a file that I created several years in InDesign CS3. I am running CS5.

  I have several masters implemented herein pages facing pages. Sometimes, I applied Master A page from left and Maître D to the right page.

  The problem is, the master A there is a rule, put in place stretching of the Spine Center out to the outside edge of the page. Master D does not have this rule. However, on any set of pages where I applied the Master A for the left page and Maître D to the right page the rule appears, as if I asked the Master to the page on the right as well.

  The rule on A master starts EXACTLY at the Spine Center. If I move the rule on the page to the right slightly out of the centre, the rule will not be displayed.

  I've included some screenshots to illustrate the problem. I'd appreciate any help! Thank you!

  Oh, wait! I just find a workaround. If I select the rule on master pages, pull on the Center back line and then fold it to the spine, it corrects the problem!

  Good then this is quite annoying, because I have no idea why this is happening.  In my form, I have 5 text fields that users are required to conclude the data personal (name, address, city, State and zip).  These 5 areas are on the master page 1.  I also have a master page 2, which was designed strictly for the flow on the text for a table of expenditure.  The expenditure table drains properly and I have no problems with the calculations but I noticed today that when the expenditure table throw on the second page, the data that the user entered in the 5 text fields clear when the table runs.

  Is this something I need to write code that said once the user leaves the field lock.  This does not seem as if it were necessary, given that many users who also make the fluid fields.

  I'm stumped, any help would be great.

  This option does not seem to be explicitly displayed in Firefox 4. You can also use the keyboard Alt key then in turn, V, E, B , or choose to display the menu bar toolbar instead of the firefox button.

  You have left out information such as how you connect to the Internet (cable/DSL? ISP?), the brand of your router, and whether other computers can connect to your router wirelessly with success.   I'm going to assume that this is the first installation then give you instructions on setting up a safe wireless router. Maybe that will make things work for you. If you need more information, be sure to include all missing information in your next post.

  Setting up a router is simple enough. Normally, you run the CD that came with the router and follow the instructions. But you can set up the router without the CD. Note that if you have Internet cable for the connection you have just set up the router to DHCP (or there may even be a choice of cable to choose). If you have DSL Internet, you select TRP usually and enter the username and password you selected when you initially set the DSL connection. So:

  1. turn off the power to your modem.
  2. attach a class (usually supplied with the router) ethernet cable cat5e Internet/WAN port of the router to the ethernet port on the modem.
  3. connect the ethernet cable cat5e from the network card in your computer to one of the ports on the router. If you do not have an ethernet cable (because you were using USB), you will need to go to the store and buy a.
  4. turn on the modem. After that all the lights are on, turn on the router.

  To configure the router:

  Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine. The first thing to do is to change the default password because * all * known default passwords for different routers.

  Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

  Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar. ;-)

  Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). Most computers purchased during the last 4 years have the wireless hardware that will support WPA2-Personal (also known as WPA2-PSK). This is the desired encryption level. If your wireless hardware is older, use WPA. Don't use WEP, because who is easily broken within minutes. So go ahead and set the Security Mode WPA2-Personal. Do this and enter a password. For example, you could use the password ' here be dragons, beware you scurvy dogs! The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

  At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password that you have created (exactly as you wrote it with all capital letters and punctuation) to join the network and start surfing. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

  It sounds as if you have multiple partitions. Disk management and DiskPart extends the volume with a focus on the next contiguous unallocated space. For basic volumes, the unallocated space must be on the drive and must follow (have a plu sector offset number than) the partition with focus.

  If you are looking at disk management, this means that, if you look at your partition C: the unallocated space MUST be located directly to the right of the C: partition. If you have another partition between the two, you will be allowed to extend the partition directly to the left of the unallocated space.

  This could be a work around, if you have C: and D: and have files on D: but have more space.

  -D: shrink to create just enough unallocated space to store your files located on D:.
  -Create a new partition with unallocated space to move your files.
  -Move your D: files to your new partition.
  -Now, to delete the D: partition

  This creates unallocated space between your C: partition and the new partition that you created to move your files.

  -Now right click on your C: partition and extend as usual.
