size of PDF

Hello

I work in a company in Tokyo that produces a monthly magazine, which was also released in electronic format (pdf). The dimensions of magazines are near the A4, but different enough to cause thin white lines to appear to the right and the top of the page when you view the magazine in pdf by default ios Viewer / adobe acrobat reader software. Since most of the magazines pages are all in colour, these white lines stand out a lot.

It is not happened to an older version of the pdf viewer, but unfortunately I do not know in which pdf Reader version, this problem was introduced.

Can you review and difficulty?

Best regards

Alex

Turns out that the problem was caused by saving the file in the application of "Preview" OSX... Was not visible when viewing files saved in this way in old versions of FastPDFKit (and probably of acrobat reader).

  • iAuthor question for iBooks text size and PDF print

I get confused messages. It seems that my default iAuthor text 18 Baskerville - is the best font size to prepare my manuscript? It looks great. Average size printed book is 10-12 points. I also intend to use PDF files to make a 100 printed copies. If I stick with 18 p can I completely reformat the book for this version?

Just export a copy of your book in PDF and see if you like it or not.

iBA is not really intended for the production of printed books, so you should check that the PDF files that you get from it are not suitable for this.  Normally, for printing, use an app like Pages designed for that.

  • Size of PDF file - 11.3 Vs 12.3 difference

    Hello

I was wondering that my output, the PDF file size is different when I run against 11.3 and 12.3 (with same MRLS and same extract xml).

For an example, when I tried to generate a PDF file with 11.3, output file size is 69 KB, but 12.3 is 61 KB (file size only breaks down and there is no change in content). I'm worrying that Am I missing something in my output?

From 11.4, embedded font sizes are smaller for PostScript Type 1 fonts which are now output using a compact format.

  • How can I reduce the size of PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version) ms?

I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free version), ScanSnap ix500 & MAC OS X.  I have many documents and statements I want to scan and would like to know how to reduce the size of the document to preserve the memory. I scanned a document, 1 page, converted to PDF format and save it to a folder on my computer.  The file size of the PDF file has been 371ko.  I can reduce the size without having to buy the standard Adobe Reader or Pro edition?

You can not. You need Acrobat for this kind of task.

  • How to reduce the file size of PDF in a personalized way?

Adobe Acrobat is installed on my Macbook Pro. I plan to buy it. When to convert a Word document or a PowerPoint to PDF it almost doubles the size of the file. I can't find any menu where I can reduce the size of file in a personalized way. There is the button "reduce file size", but clicking on this file size remains large and doesn't not allow any personal reductions. What is your policy on that? Thank you.

    Hi atemr97403422,

  • What size Maxie pdf format may be?

How many MB format pdf can be before it explodes?

    ">"> ">

    Hi sectest33 sectest33,.

There is no such limit on the size of the PDF file. This mainly depends on the file system used on the machine and the operating system.

Maximum FAT32 file size is 4 GB. The cluster size is 4 KB up to an 8 GB partition. Beyond 8 GB, the cluster size up to 32 KB. NTFS, that's what almost everyone should use on their hard drives today. Its maximum volume size is 2 ^ ^ 64-1 and its maximum file size is 16 × 1024 ^ ^ 6 bytes (much more than the largest hard drive available today). Cluster size is 4 KB, regardless of the size of the volume.

    Thank you

  • Unable to set page size print PDF Word 2013

I'm trying to print from Word (on Windows 8.1) 2013 to the Adobe PDF virtual printer. I'm changing the page size to 6 "x 9" high, a size made to order, I created with the button "Add... "in the Adobe PDF Document Properties dialog box for the large Adobe PDF printer. If I change it there or in the Options dialog box advanced, after hit OK and the reopening, he switched to drag 7.5 x 10. I tried to change to the letter and it was always slipping 7.5 x 10 when I have opened the dialog box. How can I print a Word document in format PDF/X-1 has 2001 6 "x 9" PDF file? 5. In MS Word application, choose file > print. Select Adobe PDF as the printer and click on the printer properties button.
    6. Check here for printer Adobe PDF Page size. Then click on Ok after checking all the settings. (ideally it should change)

  • Schedule an automated process to reduce the size of PDF files

I am trying to find a way to automate a process which would take place every night at a certain time. PDF files is saved by my colleagues in a certain folder for printing purposes. My job is to take these files and reduce their consumption of the web size. Currently, I have to do it manually, which is a bit of a problem because these files come very late in the night.

The optimal goal would put in place a process that allow to monitor a folder and automatically save any PDF placed in said file in a file size reduced. Using the Action Wizard in Acrobat XI, I can't find a way to set up to run automatically.

If anyone has any information on how to accomplish this task, I would be extremely grateful.

You may not (and are not allowed to) use Acrobat in this way. You will need to

looking for a lot more robust application of treatment.

  • Size of PDF Online

Should what size I set my document if it's going to be an interactive PDF that is shown online? It is a text book and will have some videos? I want them to be able to read horizontally rather than vertically.

If your computer has a medium resolution (x pixels y pixels), create it by choosing intend digital publishing in the new Document dialog box and by choosing a slightly smaller size of your screen, enter values in pixels. It should work fine if you view videos in MP4 format in Acrobat DC, Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

Tablet applications are problematic because most PDF readers not displayed video. You can do this when you ask your visitors to use as Expert PDF readers that display video. For an iPad, use the dimensions in pixels of an iPad when you choose a digital edition intention (iPad is a predefined size).

  • Why is my file size "Combined PDF" smaller than the original files?

    Hello!

I try to combine two individual PDF files into a single PDF file. Each file is 32 MB, but when I use acrobat to combine, the newly created "combined" file is only 19 MB. I think I took the necessary steps to ensure no degradation that happens (e.g. large selection size of the file in the Panel options), but I'm still puzzled as to how the two files can be set up as one and be smaller than the two separate files with out any compression. What Miss me?

    Thanks in advance!

When you combine a file, it performs an operation of "save under".  This rewrites all the PDF object in the single file and is supposed to clean the file, while the single files may have had several saves which when you look at the inner workings of the PDF file simply add at the end of the file.  In other words, you get a file more cleanly written and optimized is also recorded for a quick display of Web pages.

  • Change a size of pdf file?

Hi - I am fairly new to Adobe, so please forgive my ignorance! I created pdf files in a batch of scanned documents, which I now by e-mail. I forgot to scan them as B & W and now PDFs are of color, they are too big to E-mail (28 MB). Is it possible that I can change to B & W or reduce the size of the file to an acceptable email size limit? Really appreciate all the help I got these out tonight... Thank you

    Hi working-MOM

If you use Acrobat X then

Choose "file > save as > optimized PDF...". «, as opposed to "file > save as > reduced size PDF...» ».

If you use Acrobat XI see the link below and scroll to reduce article size.

  • Reduction in size of pdf file?

I have several letters written by hand that have been sent to me in pdf files that I need to shrink in size to put in a photo book, 2-3 to a page.

Can someone help me?  Thank you!

    Kim in Durango

    Ok.

    It's actually the Acrobat forum.

That being said, you can get what you want by playing with the settings in the print dialog box.

Go to file > print > Page handling > scaling of the Page and choose "Multiple pages per sheet" or something to that effect in the drop-down list (sorry, I use a newer version than 8, so it may be slightly different in your version) and choose how you want to print on your page. He dimensionnera the up and down for you.

  • Reduce the size of pdf

    Hello

We have a pdf form, which has almost doubled in size (from 867 051 B to 1 337 351) when I just open it with the Designer (tested on 8.2 and 9.0) and save it again without modification under different name.

You have an idea, which could be a problem?

The original pdf was created by Designer 9.0

I'm saving a dynamic XML form, the original pdf should be also dynamic XML form ([form properties-> compatibility-> form Type] says "Dynamic XML form").

I unfortunately can't post pdf publicly.

    Thanks for any advice.

    Hello

Open the PDF file in the designer. Go to file > properties > Save Options and uncheck all the boxes, save and close.  That will reduce the size of the file. Embed fonts and tags cause the PDF to be so great. Unfortunately you can not change this once so that it can be done on all forms of your future, you need to do whenever you save a new PDF.
