• Subtitles encoded by changing the calendar - is there a key combination?

  Hi - I looked at the how to make closed captions video made by Adobe.

  is there a key combination to move the numbers - command + arrow or something? A hand comes up with the horizontal arrows... How to turn it on without having to manually type the numbers.

  Robyn: Do you mean Open legends? (Instead of captioning). This is the video you are referring, I guess: create and customize subtitles (open captions). If this isn't the case, please let me know.

  As to your question, when the mouse pointer displays the hand-to-arrows icon, click and move the mouse left or right to move the timecode value upwards or downwards. Moreover, this tip applies to any creation of value-blue you see in any CC approx. (for example, he works in the indicator of big blue timecode in the timeline panel.)

  Premiere Pro does not caption MPEG-2 - for closed coating water courses incorporate legends on DVD, I suggest to look at which is supported at the exit of the SOUL, or if you are using, look over there.

  No, you cannot change the police or anything about the format of the text. Only the color.

  This text style is the standard for captioning. You can't change it.

  I don't think there are any good free tools, but some offer a free trial. Once you get your legends made, you can change them from scratch.

• Watching a film layer on customer monitor Source?

  Hi guys,.

  I am using a Blackmagic Ultrastudio Express via Thunderbolt with the latest creation. While I didn't quite show stopping issues using it with my client monitor when you view a cut on the timeline, is there a way I can show on the client monitor source footage?

  I know that I could create a sequence of temp, but I'd like to skip this step.

  Is this a missing feature? I should have make a request?

  Recently updated for first 2015.1 (exit 30 Nov) and upgraded my OS to EL Capitan.  Since then, I have some weird questions.  One is it seems now like I I triple click on the items in my bins to load in my source monitor.  It's strange because after a double click, they load into my external monitor after just a double click.

  Also have issues dragging clips to the timeline and dragging around once they are there.  It seems that I have the slider on the track just above where I want the clip...

  OK, I think I thought about it... you have more than one monitor? When I drag the Premiere Pro window for my second monitor (not the iMac) the problem disappears. Then I took the "main" screen in the settings of osx and put it on the secondary screen and the imac as the secondary display and it works... still a pain...

• Are formats QuickTime the only way to incorporate subtitles?

  I can't integrate subtitles encoded in any format outside of QuickTime.  I need to incorporate for television purposes so that the viewer can turn them on and off.  However, the format QuickTime spits a 23 GB file as opposed to a 2 GB file that would be an .mp4 file.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• Microsoft expression encoder 4 sp2 - viewing of an image that I make adjustments.

  I use a webcam on local traffic.   I listen to the video signal of the camera on the internet using the encoder above.      Right now I'm adjusting the parameters "in the dark" IE I do not see any image as I make the adjustments.  I need to be able to view the encoded signal / picture AS I MAKE THE ADJUSTMENTS.     Is this possible?   If yes how can I do this?    Thanks a lot Michael Ronan - Boxplayer

  Unfortunately, this is a bug in Adobe Media Encoder - it does not properly handle expressions, if they are created in the default language. If your AE works in English but in German, SOUL SOUL runs the instance of AE context it uses to manage the AE projects also in German and your break expressions, because they are language-specific. Nothing, that you can change. To work around the problem, consider using the wizard to Convert the Expressions into keyframes keyframe before rendering with SOUL. For some layers with simple stuff that should be acceptable, but of course it will be a nightmare with many expressions.

  Shery,

  Your first machine "compositing." It looks good, but I wonder why you chose for the water closed when the Rosewill case comes with so many cooling fans. Your considerations should probably be more influenced by the height of the RAM modules, rather than less noise. The H80 is a good CPU cooler, but does no better than for example a charge-air cooler of Noctua NH - D14 cool.

  You did not mention how Ultrastars you intend to use, but all the comphonents that you mentioned, 1200W PSU seems a lot and probably a 850W and 1000W version is sufficient. You can check this by following the link on this page: http://ppbm7.com/index.php/disks-psu and the system configuration of load to 100% and capacitor aging to 30%.

  In regards to your second machine "Edit" I have more comments, according to the remarks of Jim. I recommend a card mother socket 2011, because the 1155 platform is limited by the number of lanes PCIe, which makes it a waste of money to add a Thunderbolt device, because in this case the 4 channels the device reduced Thunderbolt video card PCIe-8 x PCIe, halve the bandwidth of a great video card.

  If you think you have need around 8 drives on a raid controller, I suggest an Areca ARC-1882iX/12 map, which is a PCIe 8 x controller with double the bandwidth on the version of love at first sight. But that requires a card mother socket of 2011 in which case Asus is the logical choice. You may even consider the motherboard P9X79 WS for both machines, since then you could use the double NETWORK card to easily transfer compositions to network cables mounted machine bundled with 2 GB connection speeds.

  On the video card in mounting machine the 680 can be exaggerated if the editing is limited (compositions are exported from EI as files monolayer) and the bulk of the work is DNxHD encoding, since it is the load of CPU and GPU not related. In this case a GTX 660 Ti may be sufficient. And my previous comment about the power supply on the machine of composition also apply to the editing machine. Check if 1000W is not enough, even with 8 Ultrastars.

  Regarding the CPU on the editing machine, the i7-3820 is a quad core locked and the i7 - 3930 K is a hexa core unlocked. Simply put, this means the unlocked CPU is easy to overclock and the locked version is much harder to overclock even slightly. Export to DNxHD is very largely dependent on the speed of the processor and the number of hearts. In this perspective, overclocking can make a huge difference in performance, and the nod would go to the i7 - 3930K, even with the higher price. On the other hand, the editing machine would need no more than 32 GB of memory, since PR uses little more than 25 GB even in rather extreme cases.

• FCPX - captured live from a remote camera?

  Experience scientific, a little dangerous.  I have a Sony FS700 camera trained on experience.  I want to be able to run a USB cable from the camera to a control booth closed about 20 feet.  I want to be able to control the camera from a Macbook Pro.  I also wonder if there is a way to capture data that is ensuites directly into the computer (on an external hard drive) using the may output HDMI Cable? ... I remember that old Final Cut get live data from a camera.

  FCPX do something like that?

  Or maybe someone has a suggestion how it could be done?

  FCP X cannot capture alive from a camera via USB. In fact, USB does not have the live video from the camera anyway, so no software can't.

  You can take the output of the camera, but you would need a HDMI input device. The HDMI on the MBP is for * output *, do not input.

  If you get a device like BlackMagic UltraStudio MiniRecorder, then you can use the BlackMagic software save and then import the resulting in FCP X film.

  PS: Really you run 10.6.8? What model is your MBP?

  How to display subtitles encoded in Windows Media Center? Got a DVD that does not have subtitles, but it closed captions, and I can't see how I can display in WMC... Note that WMP has no problem display CC.

  Thank you very much. This might work for the TV tuner TV signal, but not for DVDs. I have a DVD that has No subtitles , but only the subtitles (CCs). I'm not simply view SAB for this DVD. I tried to play around with all the settings, nothing helped. I came to the conclusion that MS has neglected the possibility that DVD would carry CCs, not only subtitles. You may want to try it yourself: take a DVD with CCs and without subtitles (most likely a TV show like Taxi, for example) and try to see if you can get CCs to work. My guess is that you will not be able to. I've tried on multiple computers, with no luck.

  Therefore, I would be grateful if you can let the devs of WMC. know this 'bug' tiny (but very annoying). It shouldn't take an enormous effort of coding to fix (I guess).

  PS Ce is not something that I just noticed, nor is it the only DVD that behaves in this way. Positively no CCs cannot be displayed for DVD . I noticed this problem a good back, but I kept hoping there may be tweaks that I didn't see it right, so I took the time to study this more in detail recently. It turns out it wasn't behavior little cared for me. It is a behavior that is sloppy on the part of the developer.

  More subtitles encoded in the world are centeren so I thought that it should not be difficult to define in Captivate.

• First CC srt file displays does not correctly

  So I am trying to import the srt I for captioning, and when turned on CEA - 708 that he will reveal, but it is hard to read and that's not all what it.

  There is no black background about him and the format is all wrong.

  Is there a way to fix this?

  1. check your SRT file and see how there in character lines - if any line exceeds 32 characters, including spaces, you can get the caption stall lines.

  2. There is a known issue with the background box black SRT imported into Premiere Pro 'Transparent' value - once you have the file in the BODY, you can set the background to 'Opaque' area by double-clicking on the file of the legend, and then in the Panel of legends, changing at each rear through the background controller location text box - this could take some time I know, but you can fix it in this way.

  3-708 format legend will not convert in CSC - CCS sidecar format is 608 standard only. Try to MCC.
