What version of Premiere Elements you are using and on what computer operating system is running?

    Your questions may be twice

    a. MotionJPEG codec

    and

    b. no QuickTime (more late or any version) installed on your computer with Premiere Elements

Go to your computer that is sharing the section and the choice of QuickTime. See you there presets for QuickTime?

If you do not have QuickTime installed or there is a problem with the installed QuickTime, you won't see any QuickTime

    predefined settings.

Regarding the MotionJPEG codec, which can be problematic for some, not all. The typical remedies include

    a. install a utility provided with the camera to power any codec special MotionJPEG for Premiere Elements

    b. download, install and maybe buy if necessary, Morgan MotionJPEG codec

    c. you convert MotionJPEG file to another format compatible with Premiere Elements

    We will follow for details.

    Thank you.

  • Can I capture with Final Cut Pro and edit in Premiere Pro?

Because it appears first has problems with capture - at least for me, but as I see it for others as well - and I can capture with iMovie, I take it with Final Cut Pro for capture - cross for Adobe Premiere and the suite for editing, then finalized? Or is it a problem to copy the photos/files from one program to the other (they would be clearly identified if I could just import first shots later?)

    Thank you

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

When you are capturing HDV into FCP, it creates a specific Apple HDV codec. It is a codec that is not available unless the FCC, movement or compressor is installed.

Two solutions of workaround would be to use Premiere Pro on Mac with above mentioned applications on the same system or convert a codec which can be read in first.

I did this after intro animation effects and it was made entirely from photoshop files and my comp in AE settings is HDV 1920 x 1080 square pixels 25,.

Then they asked me out of the movie at 1920 X 1080 MPEG H.264 NTSC 29.97 progressive, someone has an idea how?

    1. to adjust for NTSC composition without affecting the report l / h.

2 - this film must be rendered in RGB + ALPHA, and yet the mpeg does not support this definition, it seems that the record will be in the video codec animation or other.

I am bit confused if I need to adjust the model, or leave it and set the video codec only.

    Thank you

If you have (or get) MPEG Streamclip, which is free, you can open the anamorphic clip and resize it to 1080 true. You will be able to choose H.264 as a codec. It will be if necessary deinterlacing. Suppose that the MPEG card is a MP4 container.

    Good luck.

  • Exporting HDV to mpeg-4 format

I use version 9 of Premiere Elements.

I have a HDV PAL project I want to export to mpeg-4 format. When I choose 'share' (may be named differently - I use the Swedish version) get to select a few formats, but I can't find any mpeg-4 format. Most reasonalbe choice would first select 'Computer - export of files for display on the computer' and then MPEG, but there isn't any mpeg-4. I want to use the 1920 x 1080 resolution if it matters (HDV is 1440 x 1080).

Where can I find that? I know that first Elements 9 supports export .mp4. Any ideas?

    asdfewefs

You say that you work with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1, 10, so I would like to offer a few details on what, I made SG reference since his suggestion is generally written (no iPad is actually written in part version 9.0/9.0.1),

Part/cell phones and readers/Apple iPod and iPhone, using the presets = iPod and iPhone - high quality.

Then under the tab advanced settings of this preset button/video

Video = set to MainConcept H.264 video codec

    In the precise order wrote:

    TV = PAL standard

    = Baseline profile

Levels = 5.0 (this setting will allow you to make sure of...)

Width of the frame = 1920 pixels

    Frame height = 1080 pixels

Frame rate = 25 frames per second

Field order = None (progressive) (you'll see it grayed)

Format of the pixels = Pixels square

That should give you your PAL from 1920 x 1080 to 25 frames per second video to H.264.mp4. Please let us know how that turns out.

    Thank you.

  • CineForm Codec blocks Media Encoder CS4

Try the Cineform Neoscene current evaluation version. Regardless of the Codec settings, exporting with Cineform Codec blocks my SOUL (PPro CS4). Eventually only a hard reboot will get things running again. Other codecs work very well.  Hoping for some suggestions to this address.

I need to intermediate rendering - one of the 3 bands of project (all images a XHA1 on nine cassettes HD) is corrupted and I have to drag the audio autour and export synchronized clips of this tape images capture with frames has fallen/red resulting in quirky (not not adrift, aparrently) audio/video synchronization. (Same - or worse - capture problem with split HDV and Cineform captures also. Renounced Digest footage synched after days of attempts.) Have successfully captured many hours of DV with the system with the exception of this one band.

The export problem occurs with any of the images (not included) I put on a timeline in any format of project I tried (including DV). It occurs if the body runs, reduced or closed when the SOUL is executed.

(This installation of CS4 works well otherwise, although - to solve some recent and accidents-on-quit performance slowdowns - I couldn't reinstall the program unless I added a second user/admin account. Adobe don't know why).

I made this firewall and anti-virus are disabled when the two installation/relocation of this and during the execution of these exports. XPpro is a new facility with all the drivers and all of the updated components. BIOS flashed recently updated.

I feel also a modest success doing this little project HD on a pair of lowish-spec PCs (one is a backup) and rents cameras in part to determine my next update (PC or Mac, FCP - body do not know what the HD camera) for an optimised system HD.

The technique I use is minimal, but acceptable for something Cineform, according to the readme file. I expect that at least the smaller settings would work, but all this crash identically - a few seconds after clicking "start queue"; always before any progress are tabbed/shown.  A notice of accident replaces SOUL, including a window to report the accident to Adobe. I send that and try again. Finally, the system goes up to 100% CPU use after one of those accidents and remains there, despite attempts by Bishop of task or flaps to close the body/SOUL. Each TEA attempt adds another instance of PProHeadless to the list of processes, but the performance is all too crashy from the first through the last attempt.

I tried all the solutions that my research has updated. Suggestions appreciated.

    CS4
    P4 3 GHz
    3.2 GB of ram
    GEforce 8800 GT
    7200 RPM SATA drives

CineForm works well on the system.  Finally, there was an update I don't have CS4 and SOUL.  Cineform has said to install those and the codec works very well.

  • Migration of files from final cut PRO HDV

I am trying to migrate from Final Cut Pro to Windows Adobe Production first CS5.5. I have a number of video files that were originally shot with a SONY HDV camera and captured in FCP. First will not import these files and Adobe Media Encoder has the same problem with the files. It gives me an error to import file:

... . MOV could not be imported. The source file is an invalid codec. Please verify that this is a file is valid.

I have no more SONY's HDV camcorder. I still have my FCP system I try to transcode the files with it. What can I do with these files to run in first? The rest of my video files are of a Canon 7 d.

Well, I give you two options:

    1. Extracts audio PCM stereo AC3 448 kbps mono the MOV, transcode the dual HDV video and wrap it as a M2T file. It is autonomous, but the audio is recompressed (although it is still high-fidelity).
    2. Extract the HDV video to M2V file, extract the audio PCM stereo WAV file (no recompression) and then you import both in Premiere Pro. You can select both components, right click and select Merge Clip and create a new clip married, then, to hold everything together. You would have to do this for each pair of files, but the advantage is that the audio is exactly the same as the original.

Take this zip: http://www.mediafire.com/file/94zvvop8rsm9pld/hdv.zip. Extract the content - ffmbc.exe and two batch files called hdv1.bat and hdv2.bat - the folder that contains your images. Double-click the package corresponding to the desired file. hdv1.bat creates a single file (n ° 1, above), while hdv2.bat creates two files (#2 above). Batch files are going to do this for every single MOV file in the folder. It is good to have the choice, no?

NOTE: It may not work. SBDAs HDV that I already have stereo audio, while your have two mono channels. I think I represented or in the batch file, but you may need some adjustments. What I suggest is to extract these files to a fresh folder first, and one of your copy inside SBDAs and then runs a batch or another. In this way, you can make sure it works without creating gigabytes of unnecessary files.

Let me know how it goes!

  • What are the MINIMUM requirements for the multitasking DW, PS and FL using codecs "easy"?

Will MINIMUM of Adobe system requirements, please suggest a less so-called CPU, memory and system disk i/o for multitasking Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash using codecs 'easy' (DV and HDV) only.

It is an impossible question to answer.

Is multitasking DW, PS, FL and PR a matter of editing an html file, switch to ch to change a single image, moving to FL to create a SWF file and switching to PR to change a title, or he has DW make a complete validation on several DHTML, including SES files, performing an action resize in PS to a few thousands of images , encoding large files in FL and PR make an export to a complex long form BRD?

It makes a difference. One thing is certain, the memory can be just as important as the CPU. Something less than 12 or 16 GB will be a huge limitation, but also nothing less than an i7 with HT technology. Three discs is the bare minimum with this kind of multitasking, unless the first description of multi - load a minimum applies.

  • Capture HDV

I'm an amateur and I have about 20 tapes (Sony VX2000) DV and 10 tapes HDV (Sony HVR - A1U) I want to capture on my PC, mainly for archival purposes, so that I can sell the old (er) material. At some point I plan to go through all these images and slaughter in a few hours of the guardians, which can be later converted in a high quality format. I am currently using the first Pro CS5 for all editing.

My PC is a couple of years old (Q6600 @ 3 GHz, 4 GB RAM, SSD, local storage main drive and additional network) with Adobe Creative Suite CS5, running Windows 7 x 64. I also NeoScene v1.60 if necessary.

What is the best format to capture these images, which is quite universal and likely to be read easily 5 to 10 years? I don't plan to do more basic split / pad edition.

The DV sounds easy, ScenealyzerLive or WinDV is probably one of the best choices right?

The HVR - A1U HDV footage is the main concern. Should I just use something like HDVSplit and capture video MPEG-TS (m2t files)? Looks like the capture using the Cineform codec would be overkill for my needs and lock myself in a format not standard.

Thanks a lot for the pointers and suggestions!

Due to the nature of the sequence that you have, you are better off just capture to the format that corresponds to the digital signal on the tape. The DV tapes will be captured DV AVI, and you seize tapes HDV to HDV M2Ts. To oversimplify it, you're really just "copy" the data records, because they are already digital.

Premiere Pro will do a great job in itself for the DV tapes; many people seem to use HDVSplit for HDV capture, as it does not seem to suffer from all the problems of synchronization that HDV capture in Premiere Pro only. In the case of DV and HDV formats, you are looking at about 13 GB per hour of footage. You should be sure with these codecs and formats for the next few years; It's standard codecs 'pro' which was dripping on the market, so there is support for them in the future.

  • Format 'the master' suitable for HDV projects

If you have a typical HDV project in first and you want to give your customer a "master of quality" of the end of the project, for them to recode their way, what is the best CODEC to use, output where the file size is not a problem (very short projects such as PPV, or longer on the hard drive)?

    Matthew P

Something lossless, uncompressed, Lagarith or UT.  STROKE I could also make a good choice.

  • How to get Premiere Pro CS4 rendering HDV again?

    Embarrassing problem:

Use PP CS4 (as part of the master collection) for several months, no problem. Details of the system below. This morning, I made a 1 HR 1080i HDV sequences 29.97df (AVCHD, Blu - ray) m4v format. I've done many other makes this same sequence, with no problems (MPEG 2, etc.). Completed successfully rendering. So, I decided that I would study the output and possibly adjust the brightness. I tried to import the PP. any sequence, he showed as a screen orange without video or audio. I assumed that this meant that the PP could not interpret the video rendering, which seemed strange (it seemed to be a reasonable-AVCHD with audio PCM format).

Like it wasn't a big problem, I simply deleted the imported clip and decided to make an another record in HDV MPEG-2 format. (I have I'm going to do a standard DVD also and wanted images MPEG-2.) I started to export standard (MPEG-2 1 - pass VBR with 384K audio preset, even the one I had used many times before) and nothing happened. Adobe Media Encoder hung on the first image with no progress. I tried to stop the queue and delete current file. SOUL hanging there. I had to use the Task Manager to kill him. I then closed PP and rebooted the system. Open pp with sequence again and I tried export again in the same way. Same results.

I tried a few times with different preset settings - whenever TEA would hang and he made no progress. Whenever I couldn't cancel, but had to kill using Task Manager.

Then, I decided to do a new rendering part of the sequence just to see if that would make a difference. I put a small bench and deleted the files of rendering by using the option menu sequence. A red lines as expected. Sequence hit + effects on a work area. Nothing. Render hung with 0.02% full. Tried to cancel. No dice. You have to use the Task Manager to kill PP.

Tried a bunch of times with different segments of the sequence. Every time I did, I would be cleanly restart the system to ensure that nothing has been left in a strange state.

If at this point, I could not export or go to MPEG-2 or AVCHD.

Next: I create a new test project dummy with a film DV, import, apply effects and rendering. No problem. Export also works very well.

The same project, create sequence HDV and import the small clip of HDV video. Plays very well. However, cannot make no effect and cannot export. (Same problem as before: hangs.)

HERE IS WHERE I AM NOW:

PP works fine in every way except that I can't make any effect of HDV footage and I can't export HDV to MPEG-2 or AVCHD format. I can make and export DV SD to SD (AVI etc) formats with no problems. I was also able to export the HDV SD AVI film (but only without effects - if I tried to apply effects in PP, they wouldn't render-hang as before).

    Here's what I see:

ImporterProcessServer.exe hangs in the background (Task Manager) as PPProHeadless and processcoordinator. None of them shows no activity of the CPU. Somehow, the HD processing pipeline is defective (locked). There seems to be no problem for SD DV rendering.

Here's what I did to try to solve this problem:

-Downloaded and updated to latest version of DirectX (9 c for XP)

-Downloaded and updated for more recent QuickTime

-Ran CHKDSK on the system and A / V drives (no problem found)

-Reinstalled PP, AE, SOUL and modules involved in the original game from DVD - ROM

-Downloaded all updates of PP, AE, Adobe's SOUL and installed

-Deleted all files of the user for the PP, SOUL, etc. (i.e. under Documents and Settings) and permit software to re - create.

-Delete the Cache of media and permit PP to recreate (which she did successfully). Also moved Cache of media to a few different readers.

-Double amount of virtual memory available (it was a shot in the water because everything had worked perfectly before)

-Rebuild the cache plugin (now SHIFT key)

-Checked for own log events (in the Windows Event Viewer)

-Check the logs of other SOUL and PP without finding something interesting

-Checked the nVidia card has latest drivers (it did)

-Services checked to make sure minimum of background tasks are running

-Checked to make sure that the disks have enough free space

-Sacrifice a goat to the God of the Moon at midnight

(Kidding on the last one of them, but just barely.)

I'm open to suggestions, but I'll be skeptical of suggestions that the equipment or system is at fault, given that PP has run so well before, and given that the computer does not show any other problems. My hunch is that in some way something damaged the MainConcept HD codecs, but I guess that uninstall and re-install the software Adobe must have re-installed them, and which did not help. I don't know of another way to test them, or to re - install just this component. It is confusing that the SD treatment works very well.

I'm frankly at a loss and have spent 8 + hours trying to understand this...

Thanks for help that someone can give!
