He had to 'associate' type .tsv file to Excel

I can't understand how to have Win7 and Office 2007 open .tsv file using Excel type. Someone knows how to do this?

You can go to the control panel > default programs > associate a file type, the Protocol with a program. If it is already listed, you can modify the default Excel application. If it is not listed, you can add it.

  • C00D11B1 error - cannot read this Type of file... even if she had been. Media Player W.

    Hello.

As above, I now get the "C00D11B1" error code when you try to play MPG files out of my camera through Media Player.  It cannot read this type of file.  Unfortunately, for the past six years, he played identical videos taken out of this camera.

Help on the Web sends me to a page that doesn't seem to be not applicable, with my sound card is the issue (it is perfectly functional, plays MP3s, etc.).  Media Player plays all the other files it usually plays (AVI, MP4).

I checked with Windows Update, just as a thought.  Nothing has changed - not surprising.

How can I fix?  I don't want to take just a blind shot to a system restore point.  I'm under the latest Windows 7, 32-bit, and nothing (including the MSE) Watch malware either.  Already tried MS Fix - It. He finds a couple of possible errors and I let correct... but nothing that has solved the problem.

    Thank you very much.

Well, after trying dozens of solutions across Internet, try to use my Windows recovery disk and each system restore, I had?

My solution was to reinstall Windows 7 completely.

It worked.  If you can call the requirement of swatting a fly with a bazooka 'working '.

    Here's my solution.

  • Suddenly yesterday all types of files are downloaded as 'attachment.ashx' instead of pdf, doc, or something else.

I use Firefox for many months to access my work using Outlook Web Access (OWA) mail. By clicking on an attachment always resulted in the download file intact (for most PDF files and Word documents). All of a sudden yesterday all types of files cause the download of 'attachment.ashx '. I had not changed anything in Firefox. I restarted Ff, then my computer without effect. Then, I deleted and reinstalled Ff - no change. Now in the window of the files PDF and documents are not listed, but I can't go in there when even because they do not download as such. I use Ff on Mac OS 10.6.8 8.0.

Further investigation showed that Outlook Web Access has been set only for Chrome (in Exchange 2010 SP1), but not for Firefox (so he sends different responses to different browsers and send content always broken for Firefox).

I encourage the people affected to this to open a case of pension at Microsoft while the Firefox team focuses on how best to improve the situation within Firefox.

  • How to make a type of file (.doc) always open in a specific program?

original title: How do a (.doc) file type always open in a specific program (my newly installed Word 2010)?

I use MS Vista and you have recently installed MS Office 2010 to replace my original MS Office 2003.  I want to affect Word 2010 for the program by default to use whenever I double-click a .doc (as opposed to .docx) file, attached or in a directory listing.  But I am unable to do it using the normal control panel installation because I don't know the name of the executable file MS Word 2010.  Please advise me how I solve this problem.

If its just .doc file then:

    1. click on Start-> default programs.

    2. click on associate a type of file or Protocol with a program.

    3. Locate the .doc from the list of the types of files and left click to select.

    4. click on the line of change program and follow the instructions by selecting the word in an appropriate place.

    Hi VikkHckrz,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

    Method 1:

You can consult the following KB article and run the fix it tool available and check if you can assign file association.

When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505

    Also check out the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default

After running the fixit so check the option is grayed out or not.

    Method 2:

If you're still having problems, then you can try to change the settings in the registry only if it is present on your computer and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. navigate to the

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

    (c) in the right side of the screen, double click on "NoFileAssociate".

    d. change the value of "NoFileAssociate" from 1 to 0.

    e. exit the registry editor and restart the computer and check.

Important: The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Need to download adobe but he said «this type of file can harm your computer»

My daughter wanted to play a game on the internet, but to play it said she had to download Adobe. When she clicked on the "Download" there was a warning: "this type of file can harm your computer" and something about modules and Active X.  Someone would please good enough to explain what it means at all?  It is allowed to download or not?

It is a general warning to make you think about what you install when asked to install things from the Internet. If you expect to install something, it is generally safe, such as Adobe Flash. Be ever vigilant when on the Internet!

For your convience, here is the file to install Adobe Flash on your computer: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

When you click on that, save the file to your hard drive, and then close all Internet Explorer Windows. Run the downloaded program to install Adobe Flash.

When you run Internet Explorer again, it may ask you to allow Flash to run. You can say okay.

  • Failed to open AdobeStock_56567161.ai because it's the wrong type of file

    Hello

I'm on a PC w/Windows 10, Photoshop elements running 11. I recently downloaded Ten files .ai Adobe stock.

With four of the files, I received a PDF import window, then a window of file of the rasterization, then Photoshop Elements displays the image.

With the other six files I get "Failed to open AdobeStock_59291716.ai because it's the incorrect file type."

I cleared my cache history and internet browser. I used Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to download files. One of the files that I was not able to download a second time-, I learned "Licensing for this image are no longer available." All nine other allowed me to download twice.

Has anyone else had this problem with some files being accessible and not others?

P.S. I tried to watch the Intro to the use of Adobe Stock (without libraries CC) 5 min. but it took me to the link creative cloud.

Thank you for any help with this.

    Hello Ann,.

. HAVE the files require Adobe Illustrator to open because they are vector files.

I think that you have downloaded and licensed to the incorrect file format.

You must allow the jpeg images you can use in Adobe Photoshop Elements.

Please refer to the below document.

With the help of Adobe Stock

    Kind regards

  • How can I tell Lightroom what types of files (extensions) I want to be able to import?

I had copied a. PNG file in the source folder and I wanted to import in the Lightroom Catalog.

However the import dialog box does not show this file in the source folder at all.

I also tried the method to select the source folder and using the option "synchronize". But who has not shown the. Either the PNG file.

My clumsy work around was to open the file in CS6 and save it as a. JPG file.

So my question: How can I tell Lightroom what types of files (extensions) I want to be able to import?

You can't tell Lightroom what file types to import in the import dialog box. You could, if you wanted to, check that the boxes of file types to be imported, but it is a "manual" operation, it cannot be automated.

In regards to the PNG files, Lightroom will NOT import them. The PNG files are not supported by Lightroom. In fact, Lightroom will import TIF, JPG, PSD, DNG and some RAW and film formats. Any other type of file cannot be imported into LR.

  • Type of file in iTunes

How can I show or enable the type of file in iTunes? It displays only the album, the song title and track number but not the file type.

    Albert,

In iTunes, file type is in the column "type".  Go to view > show view Options.  Make sure that the display is set to the songs, and then you can check the box for the genre.

  • When I try to change the default program for opening a specific file type in the "always use the selected program to open this type of file" highlights not.

So, I can't change the default program. How can I get it to show?

    Hello Swansong,
It is also possible for Panel Applications - define how Firefox handles different types of files

  • Despite the solution given in the forum, I can not .jpg listed in the type of listing file for how to do in the face of various types of files.

Whenever I click on a link, .jpg, the image opens in Firefox. I want to use another program, but I can't change because .jpg does not appear in the list of file types for which you can specify actions. I know that there is an answer in the forum of Firefox, but I never get the option box that asks me what to do with the file, so I can't go to the box 'do this for all these types of files. Help!

JPEG images are considered normal browser content and do not generate an open/save/Cancel dialog box, unless the site sends a special header indicating that it should be treated as a download (disposition = attachment instead of inline).

To Save the image, your best integrated option is to right-click on the image and use save picture as or if it's a link to an image, right click the link and save the link under.

But to start the image in a different program, I can't think a built-in feature that can do this, then you probably need an add-on.

I see for example, there are extensions to open an image in PhotoShop or Fireworks:

If these programs are not relevant, if all goes well there is a more general purpose extension on the site that fits your needs.

  • Messages - file transfer fail to all types of files (pdf, pages, jpeg, png,...).

Since a few days now, I have been able to receive any type of files in Messages app. I tried a few things that I could find online (and in previous discussions of apple). Nothing has worked. The only time I am able to open a file is when I send it to someone else or that I send it to me.

I have tried disconnecting, signature by signing in with a different address and even someone else, have removed the thinking com.apple.ichat.jabber.plist that as is, jabber, etc.

In addition, I don't have an iPhone, so my phone is not connected to the Messages.

    Here's what happens:

I click on the file to download, but nothing happens.

If I go to the 'file transfer' and then click on the download arrow, it shows "preparing..." " for about two seconds and then stops without loading anything.

When I open "Console", I get this message after receiving a file:

Is there something I can do to solve this problem, or I can only hope the next Messages updated to fix it?

Thank you for your help (to come)!
