Headphone iPod Shuffle & charging

I know that the headphones are available but are at - it compatible with earphones/headphones?

Also, how the charges work?

Hi there 101titan101,

Looks like you have some questions about the iPod shuffle and headphones compatible for it. You should be able to find a compatible game helmet:

http://www.Apple.com/us/search/headphones?src=globalnav

Some have distance built in as doing the EarPods, and some don't be so sure to check whether or not they do if this is a feature you're looking for. Keep in mind also that link is the US store, so if you're not in her WE then you will have to search for "headphones" in your Apple Store country online. Simply go to http://Store.Apple.com/fr , you should get to your country store.

As for your second question, I don't know exactly what you're asking. Can you elaborate a little bit with some more information about what you ask the subject?

Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!

Can I charge my iPod Shuffle 4th Gen with a wall charger or do I need to use a computer?

You can use a wall charger. The following, for example, shows in the section compatibility as being compatible with the iPod Shuffle 4th generation: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD810LL/A/apple-5w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=0a8 96cef6682809aaf80e8c3741f09ed6d7df9585e7fc21bb39381e2a99a7f56b6f149e5ab72d8416a9 bfa670e36cc43168558b8b8c033b881948c1230b7156cbe51af44f7fd2b9ab533d7cb453e844ccd1 80b8e71aa7359ff2698b40de39b3b

The foregoing generally comes with iPhones, but if you have a charger which comes with an iPad, which can also be used with the Shuffle: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD836LL/A/apple-12w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=0a 896cef6682809aaf80e8c3741f09ed6d7df9585e7fc21bb39381e2a99a7f56b6f149e5ab72d8416a 9bfa670e36cc43168558b8b8c033b881948c1230b7156cbe51af44f7fd2b9ab533d7cb453e844ccd 180b8e71aa7359ff2698b40de39b3b

  • I have ipod shuffle 2nd generation and need new charger (dock) can still buy these?

I have ipod shuffle 2nd generation and need new charger (dock) can still buy these?

Apple no longer sells the official replacement of the USB cable with the "cradle".  Do not buy the replacement USB docking cable for the current 4th gen (3rd generation) iPod shuffle, because it does not work with 2nd gen shuffle (the connector is different).

There are 3 replacements of party, for example

    http://www.Amazon.com/eForCity-Sync-Charger-cradle-shuffle/DP/B0042EB270/

There are other products similar, including some who do not have the cradle, and some who do not even have a cable (like this one)

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/USB-data-sync-charger-cable-for-Apple-iPod-shuffle-2nd-G balances - / 221546931454

Ensure that the product is described as being the shuffle gen 2  I'd go with one that has a docking station, because it maintains the shuffle at a constant specific position compared to the socket, which can be important for a shuffle gen 2.

  • I can't get my iPod to charge, it turns on, but the red light flashes once

My iPod will not charge.  I had it plugged in for more than 3 hours and still not a red flashing light once and then that turns off.

The battery can be worn out and unable to hold a charge when it is disconnected from the power supply.  How old is your shuffle?

When you are connected to the power, is light the shuffle ON?  If WE, is it blinks or is it solid (not flashing)?  If solid, what color?

Is not added as a new device or sync

If it is a brand new 4th generation iPod shuffle you are using for the first time, make sure that the USB docking cable plug is fully inserted into the headphone jack of the shuffle, as indicated in the present document

  • Hai, my ipod shuffle when it is connected with the computer, it flashes organge light.  If I don't take no light

Hai, my ipod shuffle when it is connected with the computer, it flashes orange light.  If I remove without light and music.  Even I kept connected all day with my laptop for charging.  But without success.  Is it possible to change the battery?

If the shuffle still appears in iTunes when you connect, you can try to do a restore using iTunes, where the cause is a software problem.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod settings - Apple Support

If the problem reoccurs after the restoration, it's probably a battery worn.  Need soldering skills to replace yourself, and iPod shuffle (with the exception of the 1st generation) is very small.  Not easy to work on.  This web site has repair guides

    https://www.iFixit.com/device/iPod_Shuffle

and parts are available from sources like eBay.

Apple 'serve' the shuffle, if it's the 4th gen (current type).  Rather than change the battery of your device, you get a replacement unit.  According to this document, out-of-warranty fees are $39

Pricing of the Service - The Apple iPod Support

NOTE: If your shuffle is less than one year of the date of purchase, it is under warranty.

The retail price of a brand new 4th gen iPod shuffle, with new headphones, docking cable and warranty of one year is $ 49.

  • Play, stop after 15 seconds on iPod Shuffle

My wife I recently purchased an iPod Shuffle and headphones Skullcandy method for Christmas. The plan was to use for the race (Skullcandy are more comfortable than most of the Earbud Headphones, Apple included).

Unfortunately, when I try to play music after about 15 seconds of reading the track abruptly fades, and then stops. If I press play again, the track will start again then wither and stop after 15 seconds... and so on! The battery is fully charged. The period of time until the music stops seems very accurate, so I don't think it's a bad connection.

I've not had much luck trying to find the question - this request doesn't seem to be that common. States of FAQ of SKULLCANDY headphones are compatible with my iPod model: http://www.skullcandy.eu/customer-service/faq/faq.html

I tried without success to the following:

    • Restore the iPod
    • Using disk utility to analyze and repair the iPod
    • Let it take over completely (just in case where iTunes has been somehow misreading of the amount of charge on the iPod)

I tried with another too - Apple and some AKG - helmet which seems to fix the problem. BUT the Apple headphones are useless for the race and my AKGs are reserved for the studio. I want to use the Skullcandy headphones! It is a 3.5 mm jack, it should work!

    So, my questions are:

    1. All the world had or heard about this problem (with Skullcandy or any other headphones)?
    2. There is a known compatibility issue? (I don't like about the features of the control of the headphone button works with the iPod - I want just works fine).
    3. Anyone have any suggestions to solve this problem or a work-around, before buying a new helmet?

    Thank you

iMac (27 inch, end 2013) race El Capitan 10.11.2

    SKULLCANDY method (S2CDGY-405)

If it works correctly with other headphones, the cause must be the Skullcandy headphones.  It is defective, or design is not compatible in some way.  It seems that these headphones have controls on the cord.  There may be a short circuit that is causing a faulty signal playback.

"15 seconds" is maybe the shuffle 'expire' because it does not recognize the headset is connected.  The adjustment can be different between helmet, in order to ensure that the plug is fully inserted into shuffle headphones Jack.  It is tighter than expected when shuffle is brand new.

You have another device, like an iPhone, try with the Skullcandy?  Or you can also try with your iMac.  Your iMac can use the power cord remote control signals, as well to launch iTunes and play a song to see if anything unusual occurs.

  • I have an OLD generation of iPod Shuffle.

I have an old iPod Shuffle.

It is no longer holds a charge and so died.

My biggest concern is that I've got tons of music on the Shuffle, and it is not saved anywhere on my computer.

I spoke with Apple, Best Buy and a local computer expert on the opening of the iPod to at least extract music files, but no one can or will do.

Anyone know of someone who can open the iPod, maybe install a battery and transfer music files on?

    Thank you.

The iPod always appear in iTunes or on your computer as a USB storage device when it is connected?  Shuffle can be opened, but the battery is hard to change, because everything is very low and the battery is soldered to the logic board.  Here you can see an illustrated repair guide

    https://www.iFixit.com/device/iPod_Shuffle

But if the iPod is still currently on your computer, you can download the files of the song.  But not with iTunes.  By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  However, he third methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links, including a CNET article on the subject.

  • That means a green light flashing on iPod Shuffle 4th Gen?

When you listen to songs on my iPod Shuffle 4th gen, the LED flashes green (connected to the helmet, not the USB port on the computer).  I thought it was supposed to stay green. What does a flashing green light?  Thank you.

When you play the shuffle, the light usually indicates the level of battery charge.  Green , fresh strong (I think that more than 25%).  He goes to the orangeand then Red (reduced rate).  While playing songs, he should not stay ON or flashes continuously, unless you press the control buttons.

  • iPod Shuffle 4 GEN on 10 to win with the latest version of iTunes

So I have an iPod Shuffle (3 of them to be exact) and the latest version of iTunes for Windows 10 and when I Plug one in, an orange light starts flashing on the iPod itself. My question is:

IPod shuffle gen working 4 or synchronize with iTunes on Windows 10?

If so, please tell me why he's stuck on the restoration.

If not, tell me if it's FREE to get a new one. (Note: these things are of 2012-2013)

    Thank you very much!

  • IPod Shuffle Gen 2 will not load.

I pod shuffle 2 generation does not load. Light does not illuminate. May be time for a new or repaired.

You use the USB cable supplied with the shuffle.  For a 2nd gen shuffle, this cable is long with a cradle for the shuffle.  A cable for 3rd/4th gen shuffle does not work with 2nd gen shuffle (connector is different).

If you use the right cable, but the random reading light lights at all, the cable may be defective.  There is cable of third party replacements.  If you want to try another cable, make sure it is described as being 2nd generation Shuffle (not 3rd/4th generation).  For example, some are not actually cables

    http://www.Amazon.com/adapter-Apple-iPod-shuffle-generation/DP/B000QHOB4S

It is also possible that the shuffle is defective.  I think that the shuffle would always turn on when connected to power, if the problem is with the battery.  So it is something else, like a worn or damaged headphone jack.  Or bad logic board.

Whatever you do, don't forget that a 4th gen new shuffle with a new helmet, docking cable, and the guarantee of one year is $ 49 retail.

  • You can manage the music on ipod shuffle without itunes?

Can you charge/sync and/or manage music on ipod shuffle (4th generation) without itunes?

If the question is, can load you files of songs on an iPod without using iTunes Media Manager application, the answer is no music files are stored in a special way on the iPod, to optimize the efficiency, and iTunes does the work of "synchronization" of records of songs to the iPod in a special way.  There are so-called third-party applications that can do instead of iTunes.

  • All new iPod shuffle does not connect to the Macbook.

I just bought an iPod shuffle 4th generation. The end of the USB cable provided that plugs into the iPod seems loose, and it does not connect to my Mac. The iPod is defective or have I missed something?

If it "seems loose," make sure you have inserted the USB docking plug cable in shuffle headphone plug, as shown in this document

  • My iPod shuffle (one of the recent 4th gen ones) battery life is really short suddenly

So I got my iPod Shuffle since mid August 2015 and, for some reason, the battery life actually only spent about 1 hour. It's never the same beforehand in January, but it seemed a bit more faster than the usual battery run (probably 5 hours or more) and in February, it dropped to about 2 hours. He went away for a while, when I used it less but recently after I have charged it and began to do something random (probably stimulation of things) it lasts barely an hour. What can I do to fix this?

I have also completely load btw.

  • How can I transfer content from ipod classic to ipod shuffle?

My ipod classic does not work well (Won't hold a charge and jumps songs) therefore replaced with an ipod shuffle.  Problem is that I loaded most of the content from a CD to an old computer, which I still have access.  My iTunes on my new computer account does not include any content; recently purchased content.  How can I get all the content (imported, old and new purchases) in one place so that I can sync again shuffle, multiple iphones and even the classic ipod (can't let go)?  Do I have to reload all the CD?  Thanks in advance for the help.

You move the files of the song on the new computer via an external drive, network or disk target mode(Macs only) and then import them into iTunes to this topic.

  • iPod shuffle not no projection in iTunes

IM unable to see my new property offices industrial shuffle in iTunes. He can easily see my iPhone, but not my iPod Shuffle. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Make sure that the host USB cable connector is completely inserted into the jack of the shuffle headphones, as shown in this document

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT203407

The collar may be tighter than expected, especially when it's new.

If this isn't the problem, the little light on the shuffle does nothing when you connect?  If this is the case, describe what he does connect immediately after (color, blinking, solid...).
