Normally, when you run the Tune up ask, uninstalling and installing updates is done by the application itself.

Run the app and allow it to install the updates for you.

What version of the Application of in-kind of HP? You may need to update.

Try installing the next version. You may need to install it in compatibility mode.

  • superior Headphone Jack does not work

My office h8-1039 (W7 Home Premium) has a Jack headphone and microphone on the top and the back of the PC.  On the top of the page game of catch, the helmet stopped workng, the microphone still does, so I have to use the headphones for talking me through the speakers.  The rear set could be used, but very annoying, as you can imagine.  Is it possible to determine why the upper earpiece does not work?

    Thank you

    Mike

    Hello

I think you have a problem hardware or internal wiring connection problem if Device Manager shows no error and audio divers are properly installed.

You have no audio output back so the audio chipset on the motherboard is good.

  • Inspiron 5520 Headphone Jack does not work

I have a Dell Inspiron 5520 and his works well, except the headphones does not work. I installed the drivers from the dell support site. also tested using the Dell Diagnostics utility, by pressing F12 and selecting from the menu, I don't see the 'custom' option which is indicated in this page (step 4):http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3517/p/19351382/19768710.aspx

the test turns on and at the end there is a radio button to test the Audio, which plays several tones through the laptop speakers. When I plug in the headphones, I have no sound in the headphones and more tones are played through speakers for computer only. Also I have heard no "instrumental piece of music complete with battery" according to step 2 in the above link.

Is this a hardware problem? Please guide me further.

    Hi Technoraty,

Whenever you connect the headphones to the computer, you should get a notification that the headset is connected. If the sound comes only through the internal speakers, the issue may be with the audio port. I suggest you to connect other headphones or external speakers and check. If the problem persists, hardware may need to be replaced.

Please share the results so that I can help you further.

    Hello Rocko

I don't know how to answer them. Maybe you should explain your problem a bit better. For example:
What operating system you are using? Why you installed the sound driver? Is the reason why your own installation of OS or you have had a few problems of her before?

Sorry, but I just want to understand what is happening with your computer satellite phone?

  • Why my iPhone 5 Headphone Jack does not work?

I tried to fix it but I can't, I'm running on ios 9.3.2 and my Siri does not collect my voice. If you know what is Anseer PLEASE TELL ME!

Get a flashlight and clean up any debris, lint, etc., from the plug headphones and try again. Have you tried another set of headphones? If this is not the case, try this. If nothing like that works you will need to get it repaired.

It may have something to do with the upgrade of the Microsoft Vista?

    Hello

Have you tried plugging a headset to the headset jack to see if it would work?

This external sound card is not only known to me and I ve no experience with this device, but using the helmet you could check if this problem is related to the headphone jack or another part.

On the other hand if you use Win XP then you can check the settings in device-> Realtek HD audio Manager manager.
There is a tab called Audio i/o.

Plug in headphones and see if they would be activated it.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Headphone Jack does not work

Hi all, I have a problem with my storm I've had since I bought it 2 months ago. I tried to use several headphones with my Storm (9530), including the helmet that goes with it. If I plug in the headset, nothing happens. I must plug the end of the headset in so that it is about 3/4 of the way in making of thunderstorms can I need to rotate the socket for headphones autour and wiggle it. Bad hears static on the headset, then they connect and they work. If I play music using the multimedia player of bb, and I get the headset to connect, they will be disconnected and music will come out of the rear speaker so 1). a song ends and another begins or 2) I pause the music, then resume again. It's very frustrating because I need to mess with him to listen to the music, so I can't to pause the music, and I have to redo everything for the next song. I don't know if its problems hardware or software, so Im going to wait until another official release of an OS spell (Im still using 4.7.0.75, if I can't resolve this download then a leaked OS won't help my warranty any). If it's a hardware problem, I have to pay $50 and send my bb (Yes, I bought a warranty). If anyone has similar problems or advice, Im all ears, thanks.

I just wanted to clear this post. After awhile of this problem, I stopped using catch helmet for a few months. Then the other day, I tried, just for the devil to him, to see if the headset would work. And they did! So, there is apparently no rhyme or reason for it and it is now resolved.

  • XPS13 2015 Headphone Jack does not

My XPS13 9343 Headphone Jack does not work.  I reinstalled the sound drivers by default but no luck.  I ran Diagnostics and it reads my headset but won't play audio through them.

I was able to resolve this issue as follows (Windows 8.1):

-Open the Task Manager (ctrl + alt + del - Task Manager)

    -go to the Startup tab

s ' ensure that all the sound elements associated tasks are enabled (mine had disabled Manager realtek audio)

    -Restart

After that, you can open the control panel Audio Dell again. I did a "reset defaults" and that fixed it. Popup appears, once again, when I plug my headphones.

  • My Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work.

Hello, my new Dell XPS 15 audio Jack does not work. I just got this thing out of the box.

I have updated the drivers and stuff, which doesn't seem to be the issue.

I tried several headphones as well, the helmet is not the issue.

I've isolated to this: when I plug in the headset, nothing happens. If I ask about 15-20 lbs of pressure, forcing the connector of headphones into the socket as hard as possible, the cell begins to recognize and the helmet works. As soon as I let go of the connector, the laptop will behave as if the device was disconnected.

    What should I do?

    What should I do?

Hello. Your options are to contact technical support to schedule a repair, or return it for a refund or Exchange if you are still in the short return period (twenty one days from the date on the invoice if you got from Dell).

  • Windows 8 - Headphone Jack does not

After the upgrade to Windows 7 8 my headphone jack is no longer works.

I have an Asus G73sw with dual-boot Ubuntu Linux and Windows 8.
In Ubuntu, the headphone jack works fine without any problems. It tells me that it is a Windows problem.
In Windows, I did a right click on the speaker icon and select "playback devices".
I checked "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices", but there is no headset device.
When there is a headset plugged in, sound properly comes through the internal speakers of the laptop. When I plug the headphones, the speakers feature still shows green volume bars, but the internal speakers are silent suggests something trying to switch to the headset, but there is no mechanism for the headphones.
I have correctly installed the Realtek HD audio drivers for my computer and when I plug my headphones, Realtek identifies that a device has been plugged into the audio jack.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers Realtek, nothing helps. However, I don't think it's a problem with Realtek. When I uninstall the drivers Realtek completely and use Windows HD audio driver, helmet still does not work (and still it is not a device of helmet). This makes me think that Windows 8 is having a problem finding the headset device.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thank you for your time.

Ouch, why in the world Asus 59 versions later the same driver.  You would think "here is the most recent with all patches and fixes" would be preferable.

Speaking of which, it looks like one was released on 17 May (verison.6890), about 3 weeks after your message here.  They do not have the notes on what has changed and what they have set, but it's worth a try.

Be sure to uninstall the current as completely as possible (programs in Control Panel, and then by the driver in the Device Manager) and then restart the computer before installing this new.

  • My headphone port does not work.

I have a Windows Vista laptop and my headphone port no longer works. When I plug my headphones in, only the right speaker works. It worked before but stopped when I turned it on this morning. I tried to restart my laptop but it still does not work.

    Please respond quickly!

    Hello

1 when was the last time it was working fine?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

I suggest you connect other earpiece to the front port and check if it works, it's to check if the port is not bad.

Also, make sure that the default audio device is properly set on the computer.

Verify that the default audio device is correctly set

    (a) click the Start button, click Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click sound.

    (b) click on the read tab make sure that the correct default audio device is selected. (For most users, the default audio device's speakers and if you have connected headphones then it should be set as default device)

    (c) if the default device is not set to the right audio device, on the read tab, select the appropriate device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and verify that the default Format is set to the value you expect. When you are finished, click OK.

    (d) on the Read tab, select the playback device, click set upand make sure that the configurations are set correctly.

    (e) if the sound settings are set correctly and that your speakers are already set as default device, go to "Check if an audio driver is installed" now.

    (f) select the audio device you want as audio device by default, and then click set as default.

    (g) click on OK to save your settings.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

If this does not work it could be a problem with the port which is connected so need to check if it works well or not.

Try to move the holder after connecting the port and check if it works fine in both speakers or not.
