Healing Brush (PSCS5) problem

Hi, today my friend created tilable textures using the offset tool and then taking the corrective tool to correct the bad edges between the tiles. This has always worked on his PC, but now all of a sudden is cause of distortions when he uses it. Instead of having a contour mellowed to the Healing Brush traces, it comes out with distorted edges, pixelated.

Things to note:

• other tools with rounded edges work very well

• If the file is saved as a different file on the problem format is saved with it (always visible)

• only happens in CS5

• the pixelation on the edges of the brush strokes are a solid color and don't look the same as what happens if a dissovle layer or whatever it is Turing

• Photoshop CS5 Extended 64 bit, Windows 7 64 bit, GTX 260

-Thank you

So let me assure you that I understand perfectly what is attempted:

You use the corrector to essentially clone the pixels in another part of the image for an area of the image that is transparent.  You expect the soft edge of the brush to leave the edge of the sweet result.

I think I can recreate what you see.  Particularly, the mixture does not seem to work properly either.

Here's what I see while brushing, then after I left space on the mouse button:

I think the real problem here is that it seems really make much sense to use concealer onto a transparent part of the image.  This is the first function is to mix the result in the environment.  What are the surroundings in a transparent area?  At best, you might expect the white pixels.

Some ideas that could help you work around this problem:

1 use a layer mask to manage transparency and have the model entirely there picture.  In other words, separate preparation of texture entirely from the preparation of transparency.

2. use the instead of the heal tool Clone Stamp tool, if you really need to brush for the transparent pixels.

  • Spot Healing brush and concealer problem

I have the latest version of Photoshop installed CC 2015.  However, there is a problem with the toolbar on the left side. The Spot Healing Brush tool and the heal tool have no menu to click and get other options, like the red eyes under the Spot Healing brush removal tool.  It seems to be a fault of my software.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Everything else seems to work very well.

  • Healing Brush problem

Have a little problem with the new version of Photoshop CC 2015 (I wish there was a way back to CC, 2014)

In addition to the error messages that I receive on my desktop and laptop computer, I now have a little thing with the "Healing Brush" tool.

When I used the Healing Brush tool on its own layer there is not a problem, but on a separate l I get points around the healed area.

Only the heal brush is used on this layer, I know that you can not use the Healing Brush tool on layers where you used the Clone Stamp tool. (I think it's just a bug that will always be there)

With this picture I want to only heal on in small areas so zoomed in far enough.

The problem appears when the 'GPU' acceleration is enabled or disabled in Adobe/preferences/Performance.

Hope that somewhere there is a solution, because it's no funny you have to heal points immediately after you made a cure of operation brushuse.

    Thank you

  • CC of Photoshop is having a problem with the Healing Brush tool

It comes to my setup with the layer I'm working.

1 got to Image menu / apply/image layer = bass tones layer (below) / mixture = Add / scale = 2 / and then select reverse. It looks like a high pass filter, but it is not.

2 Exchange mode layer to linear light that restores the image to its natural state

When I try to use the Healing Brush tool on my bed to make changes to a face I use the alt key pressed to select the sample point, photoshop seems to block the point that I select.  And he is on the screen in what looks like a high-pass filter, and then when I try to move the brush again point to perform a healing event fullscreen drag with the brush movement.  I don't then deselect the option once I use the ALT key. I've experimented a bit and found that if I hold down the ALT key it removes the high pass, but as soon as I release the ALT key, it goes back in a high pass.   I also tried clicking on this layer and by choosing another layer, the high-pass goes and I can use the mouse to select other items.  But as soon as I go back to the layer that I want to work with the screen comes back to what looks like a high-pass filter and you guessed it, the mouse drags the whole screen.

Thinking that this might be a problem with Windows, I turned off my pc and rebooted and then restart photoshop and I went back to the same process and have experienced the same problem.  So I'm making this post looking for a solution.

In the menu of the window display the Panel Source of duplication.

Is the clipping option at the bottom off? This would cause all of the image to display in the overlay. -What is the opacity of the overlay and blending Mode different 100% and Normal?

These options are not used with the Spot Healing Brush as it makes its sampling automatically.

  • Problem with clone stamp and Healing Brush

Once the value of the sampling point by option clicking on the Healing Brush tool or the Clone Stamp tool, I suddenly see a double layer that moves with the cursor that I try to position oveer place I want to fix.

I tried to reset the two tools.  I'm running CS6 and know no other problems.

    Any ideas what's happening?

    Hi RedMo53,

Clone your seeing the overlay from the source and you can adjust the preferences for the clone overlay by going to window > Source of duplication.

You could try clipped and see how it works.

  • Clone Stamp and Healing Brush problem, please help!

Hi, I'm new to the forum but I have been using Adobe creative suite for some time now.  As described in the title of the thread, I am having a problem with my photoshop clone stamp and Healing Brush tool that I can't fix on my own. I searched on the internet all day, scroll on many other posts, but I can't seem to find anyone else who has similar problems as I have here.

It's a little hard to explain but the question I have, is that when I go to use my healing brush or Clone Stamp tool, layer I work if it is a flat or normal background editable layer get displaced as soon as I press the option button to make a choice, and when I go to install in the region using these tools it is then as I duplicated the entire layer and drag it around of the screen, even if no copy / paste was filed.  All my other tools are functioning normally and I wasn't having this problem last time, that I have worked on anything in photoshop.

    I am running:

    Mac OSX 10.5.8

    CS4 extended version 11.0.2

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your probably see the source of duplication of overlay.

Go to window > uncheck Source of duplication and either:

Display the overlay for no overlay or check CRT to display the overlay

cut to the size of the brush.

Is a person with problems with the brush of health.

When I place a point source and then use the brush, the point, that I placed does not follow the brush and the tool itself simply doesn't.

Does anyone else have this problem.

I uninstalled PS and reinstalled.  Nothing has changed.

    Help.

Tried all the suggestions with no luck.  Healing Brush still did not work properly.

  • How to use the Spot Healing Brush?

I used the Spot Healing Brush 5 images with ease. When I used it today, it would not help in the elimination of the task. What is the problem?

The obvious things to check first: If you are in the right layer? If you are editing on a new empty layer, you select all layers checked. Following would be: you have a choice you hid. Another would be to ensure that the blending mode of the tool is to normal. If all those who are correct, then probably want to reset the tool.

  • Healing Brush tool works not properly

The Healing Brush tool in the 2015 version of photoshop cc doesn't seem to work properly. The tool seems to leave a task around the area where he was last used.  For any help or suggestion on how to solve this problem would be most appreciated.

This problem has been fixed in the 2015.0.1 update. Let me know if you still have problems after the update.

  • CC of Photoshop seems to hang for a few minutes when you import Lightroom CC using the Spot Healing Brush.

Recently updated Lightroom LR CC and CC updated Photoshop. When I "edit a photo in Photoshop CC", Photoshop seems to crash shortly after the image is loaded. Using the Spot Healing Brush just seems to hang the system for a few moments. Sometimes, I left the window and comes back only to see the large tracts of "to be edited" trails on the image. When they came, I have no idea. After an eternity, these trails are published. I have no idea where Photoshop is going and what is the cause.

It doesn't look like we'll be much help then, but you use a similar thread in the LR forum?  No, I see that it is the only wire you have anywhere.

This looks more like a LR problem, so go ask there as well:

  • Healing Brush in CS6

Hi there, when I use the Healing Brush tool in Photoshop CS6 mode replace, then go into another tool of Photoshop, it automatiaclly returns to Normal. Is there a way to stop what is happening?

If you are working on a number of images it is annoying to have to change the tool to replce when you open each image.

    Any suggestions please?

    Best regards Steve

    Hello

personally, I'm not aware of an option to make it "stick".

But once you select the Healing Brush tool, you can navigate through the modes using the shortcuts: shift =-Shift -.

(essentially J, then Shift =, should get you replace mode)

hope this helps, please post if you have any problems
