heat Pavillion m6 problem

I recently got this laptop and when I light on the laptop from the left side navigation where are my Palms gets hot enough. I wanted to know if this is normal or if it's just my phone, I thought that most of the laptops try to keep this part also just so fresh as possible I wanted to see if I just get a new m6.

I have the 1045dx of m6 and present the same problem.  The left palm rest gets a lot hotter as I wait, especially considering that I have "HP Coolsense" on.  I know by looking at the service manual the graphics pricessor is located in this area, and I suspect that it is the source of heat. I already have one of these in returned because the telescope was assembled incorrectly and was pressing the screen when I push on the lid, leading to the ripple in the lower corners.  I used this one for a week or two before I Exchange it there and never noticed this problem of heat with it.  Maybe that I was just distracted by default and was not paying attention to the temperature... I do not know.  I know that this machine also has the construction problems. Sewing around the edge before where the metal meets the side plastic has a significant gap on one side and the plasitc edge tilts on somewhat between the screws at the front and two corners do not fit properly. Overall, the quality of external construction of this machine has me concerned about the internal assembilies.  I would not be surprised if they do not have a thermal pad or fat on the radiator of the graphics processor.  I really think that HP should hire a better class of sweat shop for the manufacture of machines here!  A couple of years, I went through 3 models of DM4 before I found one that had no obvious defects.  I love the drawings of HP, but their quality control, especially with one of their models metal STINKS!  I'll probably take this one to get a refund back this time and buy something else.  I guess I give up on HP.

    Hello

I will try to describe my problem in detail because I so hope that it might help!

I have a 5 years A100-011, Nvidia 7600 Go satellite. Recently, I fixed a display problem that I used to, however, this time (two weeks ago) him comes from the computer laptop back from the workshop with this heating problem. Which is the first time! The problem is the fan.

When I start the PC, the fan works like it ti be long, maximum for 3-4 seconds. After that the fan barely works! According to me, the air coming out but very very low! less than how it is used for years! I came back to the same place, I corrected the PC. They checked and claim his fine and work! So, I give it a shot and tried the PC.

Unconsciously, there is problem. Because the temperature of the GPU that has the problem, idling about reaching 60 c (SpeedFan) and goes high (65-67) while surfing the net! And using this way too much for internet!

What makes it even worst fan always at the same speed very slow! The speed can increase little when he reached 67c!

In this way, I can not use any high performance program, because the PC becomes more heated then stop.

    Note: I tried the following:
1-BIOS (latest version) no available fan control
2 power settings does nothing and there is no option of cooling method
3 - fan control software. Unfortunately, nothing has worked

I don't really know what the problem is! Given that the fan works but not all the time and why the GPU gets hot without doing something really serious! What is a cleaning problem? If so, why the fan does not reach its maximum speed at this temperature. !

I hope I am fine help and answer here!
    PLS help!
    Thank you

I agree with the user Notepad Akuma is 5 years old and I think that there is a lot of dust and debris inside the cooling modules that prevent fans from running correctly.
Air can circulate properly and therefore the temperature rises
    So what to do?

You can use a jet of compressed air to remove dust from the fans that I'm doing this regularly and it helps to clean the fans

How can I stop bike g third-generation phone to heat as the iron during a call?

Additional information: 1. He has spent time in motorcycle duringsleep-game.

If this happens on all phone calls, I suggest that you go in safe mode and test the call there. If you can't find hot, then you have a rogue application which is causing your problem.

  • Laptop HP Pavillion G7: problems of sound after upgrade to win 10

I have upgraded to Windows Windows 8.1 10 yesterday (August 1, 2015).  The update went well. However, there is no sound on my computer. The sound in the tray icon has a red x and not said: "no speakers or headphones connected," when I pass the mouse over it. I have his AMD Radeon card and I've updated the driver from the site Web of AMD. Despite all the recommended fixes on various forums, including the Microsoft proposals, there is still no sound. I have no sound for any music or video. Appreciate any help. Thank you.

Wow - sound like you are having a bad time of it with the upgrade.

If you have a processor AMD APU - which I guess you, like A6, A8 etc.   Usually, AMD has integrated drivers for the video and audio of the computer.  Did you go to the Web of AMD site with your specific APU (integrated CPU and GPU) to see if they have updated drivers for Windows 10?   The manufacturer of your laptop (I guess HP) should also have at them, but HP seems to be asleep at the switch with this version of the OS.

Check the AMD site and search for your specific APU.  There should be some built-in support for Windows 10 post.  Usually, you simply run the .exe file and it installs everything.  It would be worth it anyway before return you to Windows 8.  And... Yes you can easily restore your latest operating system.

The problem occurs in several OS´s and even in the BIOS-meny. None of the solutions posted in this forum / other items solves the problem.

The battery is not a solution (as suggested in other posts), the problem reoccurs after availability and sometimes even right to restart the computer. (Et laisse le visage, un ordinateur portable sans une batterie est un _stationary_) =)

No! It's not overheating and heat issue, this problem may occur at startup after a powerdown complete with battery and power removed. (and no, this isn't a problem of dust or a problem of broken / lack of cooling-fans/ventilation)

  • Pavillion Q8300 - p6267c: Fans periodically but regularly light up full normal speed on desktop under loads

I have a desktop computer of p6267c 5 years or more running Windows 7 Home Premium - 64-bit.  He was a great computer with no problems other than a graphics card failed out of the box when it was delivered first, but that was immediately replaced under warranty.

A little less than a week ago I was using the computer when I thought I might have heard a strange noise light (no rain), and then I heard the fans go on full blast for a few minutes then slow down.  Fans were left like that maybe a handful of times under very heavy load in any of the previous five years.  This time, however, five minutes later and they are back on full blast (very strong and sensitive) once again, for a minute or more then quite new.  This continued to occur regularly even though I was not any kind of important treatment, surfing and normal web documents changes.

I shut down the computer, turned off and taken to look at the case where I could see that some dust has put up on the vents.  I removed the side cover, cleaned the vents and then little compressed air used for blowing significant dust that had built up inside as well, in various places.  I got to where I couldn't see more dust comes out so I put the cover back and booted up.

Same fan periodical bursts has occurred.  I was now concerned I might have a virus or malicious software that was causing the CPU to do something extreme every few minutes, even though I see nothing in the Task Manager, so I ran a full scan with Norton.  Came back clean.

I looked more closely to monitor resources and another program, I had display the temperature of the CPU core and could see that some of the drivers were receiving up to perhaps 25 to 40% of the use and the core, the temperature rose from 60 to 85-90 degrees fahrenheit when fans full blast, then they would go offshore as CPU level dropped and temperature.

I tried to take off the side cover and have a regular fan box blow a little nearby to make sure there is plenty of air circulation around the chassis, but that made no difference. I was able to look at the fans, and all of them look like they work very well, even at full blast.  The rear fan, the fan on the GPU and the fan on the sink sit directly on the CPU cooling.

By continuing to use the compueter and look more closely at exactly when fans come on full blast, I think it is especially when there are web video (classified ads or videos on the news sites, sports facilities, etc.).  My understanding is that the CPU in general should do more work with the latter due to the cancellation of video compression and it is the CPU that, not the GPU.  Happens a bit similar, but not as always if there are a lot of pictures on a site.  Also occurs when the computer is first starting or stopping.

I am now at a loss that suddenly causing this or what to do?  Five years and nothing, now half of websites that I will because of gusts full fans blowing.  The computer seems to be OK otherwise, but I'm afraid that I don't want to damage from excess heat if the problem persists.

The only thing I can possibly think now is to take off the CPU cooling heatsink and fan, clean more thoroughly and reapply the thermal paste in the hope that it is a bad connection between the processor and heatsink cooling that makes them become hot and have the computer make the only possible choice, telling fans to go at full speed in an attempt to cool everything.  I'm just worried that if it's not her, I am risking possibly destroy my computer just as I've never tried remove a CPU cooling sink and before reconnecting.  So, I don't want to do something that could make matters worse if it is a solution very unlikely.

    Thank you.

    Doug

Well, I ended up buying a combination of heatsink / fan replacement.  Not exactly the one originally supplied with the computer, but basically the same thing.  The main difference being the new had a record of copper at the bottom where it comes in contact with the CPU, rather than just bare aluminum.

I removed the old radiator, remove the paste heat, applied new paste again and the new heatsink of heat and all seems OK now.  Blower not more.  Yet once, I don't know how the heat sink went 'wrong', but maybe something broke or the fan is unbalanced, I don't know.

Fortunately, it looks like it cost me ~ $35 between the new heatsink of heat and thermal paste to fix and maintain your computer.

  • R420 chassis due heating controller raid card

    Hello

We bought 6 Indian dell servers.

We are facing a problem of severe heat on top of the chassis above the card raid with all these 6 servers.

    the server configuration

R420 - hexcore single processor 2.2 ghz, 32 GB ram

    Readers 4 x 600 GB 15000 rpm
(configured as 2 drives in raid 1 + 2 drives in raid 1)

These servers are placed in a data center - the temperature is around 18 degrees C

We are facing a severe heating up on problem of the chasiss just above the raid controller

When the servers are placed one above the other as they are usually placed in a datacenter of the servers heat up between 50, 4-57 degrees celcius

Support Dell changed the motherboard, raid card, power supply etc. of one of the above servers which is off-production (heating to 50.4 degrees Celsius), but the problem is not resolved

Thorough review of the raid controller card, I noted that the fins of the radiator on top of map of raid controller - instead of being parallel to the open air is actually perpendicular to the flow of air and is actually trap heat

the same card in a r.620 server has the fins of the heatsink in parallel to the air flow which remains cool

has someone else in this forum has noted this and are facing such a heating problem?

could you please check this and let me know the resolution of this problem

the heatsink orientation of 90 degrees so that the fins of the radiator are parallel in the open air?

    Thanks for your help

the dset report displays normal temperatures since it measures the temperature at the entrance (26-28 degrees C) and the temperature of the cpu (57-62 ° c).

The server works as expected. There is nothing to fix. This has been reported before, and we investigated it. Our generation servers 12 had a massive overhaul with thermal and acoustic design. For this reason, the chassis can become hot to the touch at the back of the system, but it poses no risk to the system components.

You can change the default fan control to increase the airflow and reduce the temperature of the exhaust gases, but this will increase the use of sound and electricity. Go to the iDRAC - iDRAC settings > thermal. Change the user Option to compensate for fan speed and set the offset of the fan speed to compensate for high fan speed.

    Thank you

  • Time transition changes do not

    Hi people,

Since the last update to iMovie I'm more able to change the duration of transitions between clips. I'm in half way through a project and he threw all my work upward in the air now. I get the same message saying "the clips do not have enough media for the transition." This is despite the clips with more enough heat. This problem has only started happening since the last update. Anyone else having the same problem? any ideas for a fix-by-turn?

    Bravo guys

    Mark

You must shorten the clip on each side of the transition in order to create a sufficient unused video for the passage to ride.  The question is not how

the media you have in the clip, but how much unused media (parried back) that you have in the clip.

If there is any data currently stored on the MacBook, which is not replicated elsewhere, getting backups going.   Right away.   Set up and use Time Machine, or use any other backup tools that you have installed or configured.   Computers and disks fail inevitably and automated and scheduled backups reduces the risk to your data.   Computers that are flaky can be browsed because of hardware problems, too.

According to Mactracker, memory in this system should be to 1 066 MHz and 1600 MHz.  I would check that.  If it is a quirk in the reports Etrecheck or MacTracker is wrong or bad memory?   I open the access to the DIMMS and check the part number for the memory modules.  Bad memory can and variously will cause problems.   Max memory for this particular configuration was third with 8 GB or 4 GB with memory Apple.  If you are willing to spend money on the Mac and you have verified that it is the bad memory, price then a part of the own memory and are planning to replace it.

Take a look at the - plant - kernel panics at the end of the report Etrecheck, and see if something obvious or common causes the problem.

A Mac physically twisted can also have any number of other problems, either a bad connection or a connection that becomes intermittent when heated or the problems that arise when a lot of memory - browsers are known to use a lot of memory - is in use, too.  Swapping the memory cannot solve these accidents, in other words.

I don't know where you Born this last driver NVIDIA but on NVIDIA page you can find the drivers for graphics used on desktop computers.
For laptops drivers will be offered by the laptop manufacturers.
Unfortunately for laptops you cannot find so many updates. Generally each new update offers better performance for graphics operations. On the desktop with good opportunities for cooling, it isn't so problematic but design on mobile units doesn't allow these updates only on desktop computers.

Heat is a problem common on laptops and the design is the trade-off between performance and physical protection. So do not be surprised if you don't get this latest version of the driver on Toshiba download page.

Where you found information about the version of the 8.15.11.8603 driver?

  • Portege R100 laptop computer does not start after a while without food

    Hello

Well there is some time, I bought a beautiful used R100 - a laptop Toshiba in passing - but now, she has developed an annoying problem. Whenever it disconnect the laptop from the power supply for more than 2 hours about (don't know if this is not longer) I can't begin the R100, even if the battery indicator is green. After pressing the powerbutton the power led lights in green, and nothing happens. The "solution" to this problem is to give the R100 some time in this 'turned on' - State and after 15 minutes, I am able to start the computer (turn market again).

I think that this could be a problem with a battery on the motherboard that is at its limits and needs time to gather enough power to start the computer.

I hope you can help me identify the problem with my beloved laptop :)

    Yours,

    Tobias

p.s. I have more or less need to identify the problem and some tips how to solve - the pleasure with the surgery will be from me :)

p.p.s. Unlike the problem of the M400 further down, I've won if the beginning focused on the hard disk to Flash. In my case the R100 does not give a glance if it does not start. - And as a reference to the other post: "Hmm, I don't remember of the R100 fan not have it at all" * huggs its r100 * "."
And I tried unplugging all the bits of the laptop and removed the battery, waited 15 minutes and tried to turn it on. the only way to obtain the departure of r100 is the method described above.

You have an additional RAM installed?

Maybe you need to re-seat, or it has a intermittent or heat associated with problem.
