  Is it often advisable to conserve battery life by removing the battery whenever you have access to electricity? For example others only more often use their laptops on the inside, it's a good habit to remove the battery?

  I can set up my laptop with an additional monitor as extended desktop.  By going to the followed control panel display I can manually fix the default setting for the two monitors side by side, to have one on the other.

  However, every morning when I do my laptop in to work and reconnect to the extra monitor I have to redo it.  Is there a way to set the default display settings so that it affects automatically two monitors as one above the other?

  Windows XP does not record the settings once you unplug the extra monitor.

  You can use some third party such as the software provided with the video driver software.

  Use your favorite search engine to find all these software for you help.

  Sorry about the long title, but it pretty much says my problem. I am trying to connect my Xbox 360 to my Windows7 laptop with the ethernet cable. I have a home network that the wireless laptop works out of. When I go into the control panel network connections section, I can't find the 'Sharing' tab that says that every tutorial I can find there should be. Tutorials can say to go to the screen that shows your wireless connections, highlight your home network and the network to your Xbox and then right click and press "bridge connections". I do not have the option for bridge connections. Can anyone help?

  After having connected the laptop and Xbox with an Ethernet cable, you should be able to enable sharing of Internet connection on the wireless network connection:

  1. Make sure that the two network connections are enabled.
  2. Right click on the wireless network connection.
  3. Click on Properties .
  4. Click sharing .
  5. Put a check mark in the check box under Internet connection sharing .
  6. Click OK .

• laptops with battery problems and does not turn on

  I get Strait to the point and say that I have 2 laptops that are causing a bit of touble.the the first is hp dv6 4023tx it worked fine one moment connected to food I have remove the power cable and its fine I turn it off leave it for about an hour and it will not power on I had a look at the error codes different and found that the code I get is an error of System Board and I'm not sure what to do about it. the other laptop is a dv3 2002tu and battery decided to die on me and I'm not sure what to do with it either. I download the wizard of battery and it gives me an OK (4) im not sure what that 4 means but it might be useful the dv3 .ps is the computer laptop im using to send these messages and get only on when plugged into an external power source.

  The question of DV3 is a little different. If the battery is not the laptop, but it works very well with the power connected, it could be the battery or on the motherboard connections that are the problem. The only way to be really sure if its in the computer or the battery is to try another battery. The bad news here is that, to try another battery, you have good enough to buy one, that may not solve the problem.

  When I bought this laptop a few months ago, the seller advised to remove the battery with power cord plugged. She said she would smoke less on the heat generated.  I wonder if this is advised.  If I remove the battery, I lose everything I'm working on.  I noticed it's hot, but not terribly so, and inconvenient, the vents are on the same side as the mouse.

  Where I live, it is not unusual for the flash output disabled for a second or two, if a storm is coming.  We have most of our serious electronics plugged into a battery backup, just for that purpose.  Unfortunately, we do have one for the laptop.

  I wonder if anyone out there has thoughts on this issue?  I would be grateful for feedback.

  There is some truth to what the seller says, but I think that far too much thought goes into the laptop batteries. Let it in and use it. Try to join a plan of handling of the battery will add very, very little in the life of the battery and that you wisely pointed out, the battery in a laptop is a UPS when used in a desktop mode. I say relax, set it and forget it.

  Battery is required if your computer laptop isn't plugged in.

I would only download some of my file on the laptop, but keep all the folder on my other computers because they do not have problems with disk space. When I unsubscribe records in 'manage folder subscriptions' then he cancels his subscription on all my computers, not just the laptop.   All of the messages in each folder will appear in your message list. But this does not mean all the bodies of messages are downloaded, if you have properly configured the parameters of the disk.   To confirm this install the addon glodaquilla, which has a column "on the disk" that indicates if a message is on the disk. If you want, after you have installed the addon set Thunderbird to work offline, so it does not download message body when you click in the list of messages.
