Hello, what is the application made in the computer? Is it safe to delete?

I'm new to Windows 8... No one knows what program... Hello... by Apple, Inc. do?

Can I REMOVE it without harming nay to my computer?

Thanks littlebyrd - can type you the instructions on how to uninstall or disable Hello? Or that's it, disable the system config & service.msc (?)? Whatever it is, I don't know how to do this.

That's all what I did & I can still print - woohoo! I do NOT uninstall. When I tried my system became glitch.

In any case I do not know if issues (he could) and I am on Windows 7 pro, so I don't have any idea how to find in windows 8. There are several ways to get these commands:

I. SERVICES:

  • Start - Administrative Tools - Services; Right click - run as administrator OR
  • Start - type: services.msc; Right click - Run As Administrator

1. find the Hello Service - double click & Select STOP let this window opens

II. THE SYSTEM CONFIGURATION:

  • - Administrative Tools - start System Configuration. Right click - run as administrator OR
  • Start - type: msconfig; Right click - Run As Administrator

2. open the 'Services' tab and deselect/uncheck THEN Hello

3. open the "Start" tab & Hello, QuickTime & Apple Push THEN disable/uncheck

4. do not close the window GO BACK to:

III SERVICES:

5: back services reselect Hello & this time select DISABLE.

6. close the SERVICES;

7. close the CONFIGURATION SYSTEM, it prompts you to restart;

8. reboot

Notes; To restart, I got an error with a driver called AMDA00 I reinstalled the driver & so far, everything is okay. (Check tools administrative/Event Viewer)

Phew! I had no idea there are so many steps. Good luck

  • HP DV7-3063cl laptop PC: what is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 3063 cl with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

I have recently restored a HP DV7 3063 cl laptop that died a hot mother (MB). I replaced the MB with a new Board of Directors of HP when the price has been reduced to $100, updated the CPU with an announced as new AMD 640 M and applied Arctic Silver on CPU and graphics chips. I put in 4 G memory cool, got the computer to work and installed Windows 10.

The computer seems to run very hot and stopped twice from overheating during its first period of 2 weeks when it there was not a lot of calculating, fan was run at top speed at all times, and the laptop was high to allow good airflow below.

According to the program of the Open Hardware Monitor, the CPU had reached 97-99 C a few times. I bought support cooling a player and that seems to help a lot, dropping the temperature to 20 ° C.

What is the maximum temperature for safe operation of the DV7 with the upgrade of the 640 M CPU?

Anything more than 90 c is too hot. You can specify the processor and the motherboard you have installed?

Also if this from the Manual:

Thermal paste is used on 1 CPU and heat sink section 2 that the services it. Thermal pads are used on the chip Northbridge 3 and 4, the graphical subsystem chip 5 contact Northbridge and graphics/heatsink contact 6. Thermal material replacement is included with all kits of spare parts of processor, heatsink and system board.

So unless you have changed the cooling system to heat composed on the chip graphic you should have used a thermal buffer. Without the pad, it may leave just a small hallway and destroy the cooling properties. You can use a shim in copper or other piece of something metal to fill the void, but if you just put the heat sink down on the video chip you won't get optimal even with thermal cooling paste.

  • Hello, what is the maximum settings "readyboost" I can use it will benefit my system?

    Hello gang,

The PC gods were not nice to me (admittedly, I explored things better left to someone who knows what they're doing!)
4 3 systems are in the shop! It's the curiosity for you!
in any case, I'm trying to run my business together via an obsolete zv6000 HP/XP which now, I am so grateful to have never let go for some ridiculous cheap because of its antiquity. I have to admit that for a former average daily price laptop, that it hold its own & has not crushed or skips a beat so far. Its a revelation to my new quad-core 64-bit W7, of 2 TB hardrv. on a system with a fraction of what is now considered ways.
in any case, it will be a week or more before finishing to fix my new PC & I'm trying to squeeze as much speed & quality photos out of my HP older than possible in the meantime. We've all heard of ready boost and how it works. My question is: Why am I limited to roughly define max loan-boost 4G on my 16 G scan momar. Blade? I have a Pocket media external 160Gig who came to my old HP and I have a the same problem, my current XP laptop will not allow a higher setting of ready-boost. I'm sure there's a technical explanation for this and I would like to know what it is, also can not I not also devote a small partition of my main drive for the memory of virtual reality or designating a flash drive only for ready-boost prevents me from cumulation? Y at - it other tips sly to speed up this old laptop XP? I have 2 Hardrives internal of 1 to everyone who was initially appointed to go in my last version, but they are not formatted when even (they are still in the box) if I get an IDE/SATA connector can I piggy save one of them to serve as storage for a higher speed? Or my old O.S and M/Board will remain my permanent bottleneck is not worth sinking money in when I have all these projects around the installation & some shortages of technical brainpower!
Thanks a lot for direction my efforts in the right direction, away from the rocks!

ReadyBoost works on Windows Vista, 7 and 8. You can't use it on
    Windows XP.

Furthermore, in my experience, ReadyBoost only have advantage if you use
on a system with very little (less than 2 GB) of RAM. On most computers it
    Nothing or almost nothing.

Original title: Critics of the process is dead

    Hello

Yesterday, my Acer Aspire given bsod with the critical error process is dead.  I am on Windows 8 and cannot enter the old f8 for safe mode to fix.
I don't have a disc of Windows 8, I downloaded Microsoft 8.  Acer not supplied with Windows 7 preinstalled, so once again no disc.  Microsoft when I asked how do to access safe mode tried to charge me $ 99 more taxes to do this.
Does anyone know how to access the mode without failure under Windows 8 in does not?
    Thank you

I usually access SafeMode in this way. Go to made CMD.exe right click and run as administrator. Then type msconfig. When it opens, go to start at the top and then click safe mode. You might be able to do this if you are able to get an installation media for windows8. There is a command-line option when you go to fix your computer. You might be able to do it here because you cannot start windows.

Please, let me apologize first.  This is my first time using this forum and I was not aware of how to create a new thread.  Thank you Steve for helping with this.  Here's my question below:

I have a Desktop Window Vista Home Basic.  I have great internet connection. I can surf the web in SafeMode with network.  However, when I try to access internet in normal mode, I get an error message: cannot display the Page.  When I click on the link to problem diagnose it indicates that the computer detects a connection from home.knology.net, however, there may be a remote firewall blocking the connection.  Firewall systems only 2 that I know are windows and MacAfee and I disabled both of them.  I contacted the ISP and they state it's the computer.  I just bought the computer on 07-02-08. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • With the current caveat regarding internet explorer, your search engine 'google' is safe? If this is not the case, what would the search engine more safe?

Same as above. I am concerned by the help of internet explore right now. I would like your answer.

Firefox is a browser, not a search engine. Also, Internet Explorer is a browser, not a search engine. Google is a search engine (even if they make a browser called Chrome). Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer, and you should consider moving to this full time. But Google is just a search engine used by Firefox to help you better use the internet and has nothing to do with the security of Firefox in general.

  • X201T tablet - cannot lock the computer or press ctrl + alt + delete to the Security screen

    Hi guys.

Sometimes, when the X201T is in the mood not close correctly (and having the light of HARD drive shuts down for an infinite period of time), I find that I can't lock my computer with windows-L.  Also, I can't hit ctrl-alt-del to bring up the Task Manager.  Finally, I can't run any software which shows a UAC prompt, as consent.exe will be backgrounded and I am never offered the chance to hit Yes.

I believe that it is related to the central issue-that, for one reason or another, the machine won't let something to support the display.  Consent.exe would require half black machine out for the guest screen.  Lock would send you to the lock screen, and Ctrl-Alt-Del displays the Security Menu of Windows.

    I run Windows 7 x 64.

I installed the operating system from scratch, and I took care to follow the instructions in "installing OS from scratch" Lenovo on their Web site.  Entirely, I realize that the order of the driver and the software install issues with Thinkvantage stuff.

I do IT doesn't work and I have deployed a lot of laptops Lenovo to employees over the years.  I don't think it's something I am doing wrong, but you never know!

Just to see if it was a problem with my windows install, I reinstalled Windows yesterday, and I get the same behavior.

Sorry for all the posts, everyone.  As you can see, I have many questions.

    Finally solved this problem.

You must make sure that the following Windows 7 hotfix is applied:

Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) update Module KB976755 (WW) - ThinkPad X 200, X 201 tablet.  You can get this information from the Lenovo support and download site.

Although the writing on this hotfix does not refer to this problem, this eliminated the problem for me.  I found that Lenovo System Update didn't install the fix.

My assistance spent a little time with the support of Lenovo to identify this problem.  My understanding is that the fix is included in the preload image Lenvo the camera comes with, so you will get this problem if you do a clean installation of Windows 7 and Lenovo system update does not install the fix.

  • What are the error messages you see in the window "run/eventvwr"?

I received the phone call from "Microsoft Service Center" (guess it's scam) but when they took me to run eventvwr/I had several mistakes - this is significant.  Their website has been ammyy.com.  Someone at - he heard of this?

    Hello Peggy.

Yes, it's a serious scam, do not allow them to do something. The event shows you what events the computer crossed over from the start. These errors may be associated with conflicts .dll or programs do not load. If you have some errors, you can have someone to look at those but without one I don't know what to tell you.
Here is a site that can help explain what is the event viewer. It is a wiki, so keep in mind information is for reference only.

  • If 'error exe win32 not valid' and the program runs what are the consequences

running 32-bit applicaation on win 7 and receive "not valid win32 application" error message.    the application continues and it seems to work, but what are the consequences of running the application?

    Hi Wayne,

Get the error: not a valid 32-bit application can have several origins:

I have listed some of them below.

File is corrupted, bad or missing:

Ø If the hard disk is damaged or bad, it can cause work programs to fail, either because not all data can be read from the hard disk the program is damaged on the drive. Run scandisk and defrag on the hard disk to check for potential errors.

O if you run the program from a shortcut on the computer, verify that the program is still on the computer. In some cases if the program is no longer installed on the computer, you can get this error.

File is not designed for your version of Windows:

Ø If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error.

Ø although many old programs designed to work in older versions of Windows work with new versions of Windows, unfortunately, not all programs will work.

O if the program is an earlier MS-DOS program or start program Windows, you will get this error.

Ø If the program is designed for a 64-bit version of Windows and you are running in a 32-bit version of Windows, it does not work and generates this error.

File is a virus, worm or other malware file:

Ø this error can be generated by a file that is a virus, worm, Trojan horse or other type of malware file. Often, this will result because the antivirus installed on the computer will not allow the file to install or run. Try to analyze the file to check, it is not a virus or infected.

O if the file has been checked and is clean, it is always possible that the virus protection program or another program installed on the computer is causing issues when installing or running the program. Start the computer in Mode safe and try to run the program. start the computer in Mode safe will be that nothing is running in the background that could cause this problem.

    Hardware incompatibility:

Ø If you get this error during the installation of a program, it is also possible that the CD-ROM drive or the drive that you are installing the program from is not compatible with Windows or has drivers that are not compatible with Windows.

O download the latest drivers for your CD player or other of the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the equipment. (Microsoft does not pilot for other materials)

Hope one of the suggestions above will help with your problem.
