Help: flash CS5 to crash and corrupt .fla

I'm having a hell of a problem and could use really help someone who has a good idea.

I work in flash CS5 on windows 7 64.

Also, I am currently running on the crash to save the trouble.  The latest version of my .fla damaged about four days, which is something that I got into the habit of (had the wonderful error "unexpected file format").  So I went to my backup file - same question.  I had to go back 12 backup versions to find one that would work (even my backups on external when drives copied the disk local or open from the outside would give this error.  They did NOT give this error a week ago).  But this version of the backup hangs now on save, save money, or if I try to create a new .fla, while safeguarding .fla is open, it crashes.  If I try to open any other .fla, while the .fla of backup is open, flash crashes.  Sometimes is is inadmissible and must be closed. Sometimes it of simply there, does nothing, SAID he will run, but will not respond to clicks, minimizing the window, or nothing at all and I have to force quit.  Sometimes, it will break just by clicking on a library item.

I tried the following recommended hotfixes:

Save the file in a new directory - on the rare chance that flash don't crash on save (about 1 to 10) and is not corrupt and do a new .fla which is 2 k in size (about 1 to 4), the new .fla has all the same problems of the original.

change using variable - no JAVA environment

Increase the value for xmx jvm.ini - 124 tried. 256, 512, no help

Open the zip and xml active library directly, removing them until you find a file corrupted access.  three times.  to three different versions of the FLA in the backup files.  Flash still crashes.

Save the money. XFL in - on the rare chance that flash crashes on save, the. XFL to is corrupted (2 k file size, no library and for some reason, a black square for an icon) about 3 to 4 times.  The 4th time, the file does not work better than any other .fla

to update flash player - no help.

update of plugins for all browsers and versions - no help debug

flash CS5 upgrade to the latest version - no help

Download and install all the updates of windows - no help

Remove preferences and config files - no help

The ONLY way I can avoid Flash crashing is to return to a backup version of more than two months ago.  This version will open, save correctly and debug correctly without error.

I tried and failed at every suggested difficulty, I found online or on these forums for this set of problems that I currently have.  I have three weeks of the end of the project, and there is no way I can go back two months into the production schedule.

of course, I can't afford to lose two months of work.  If someone has an idea of what might be the case, I'd be exstatic - I'm really at the end of my rope here.  After four days of searching for help and corrections online and on these forums and talk with adobe to support on the phone ("we do not manage the coding issues" is the only answer I get.  Gee, thanks for the help), none of the fixes which have been recommended to have worked me.

I think that the amount of time you have already invested in this subscription a reinstall full of the flash itself. If no other application (say, photoshop, etc.) only has problems with the opening of the files (if you don't have one, make one), then something has been corrupted Flash.

You are working on a Creative Suite or you just Flash as a separate product? Anyway I honestly get rid of this copy of Flash (uninstall) and reinstall. Clearly, something is very corrupt in it. Flash CS5 would never behave like that and you have a LOT of enough RAM. You don't need to adjust all the variables in java or all all ini files.

Consider reinstalling Flash and see if the problems just go away. I can tell you that rare are the people in your boat.

    I recently made the transition to Mac.  I have been using Photoshop on my new machine for about 2 months and during this time, CS5 broke twice on me.  I have to force quit the program, but the only thing, that's all what I have works gets grilled!

    Whenever I try to reopen the psd he said...

    "There was a problem to read the data in the layer.  Read the composite data instead? »

    then he told me

    "Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop."

    I've already lost two MASSIVE files and COUNTLESS hours of work.  At least whenever my PC would crash I loose work had made since the last save, no not the WHOLE file.  I switched to MAC because I tire of seeds from the PC, not, apparently, that my problems are more serious.

    I can't face the losses I have so far, but I can't imagine continue to work under the fear of losing all my work at some point.

    Is there a way to get out of this nightmare?

    Yes, I'm sure that's not on the side of Photoshop.

    Why Photoshop crashes, and others not?  Maybe because Photoshop uses asynchronous i/o, or call an API that are not more than other applications.

    I would reformat the drive to FAT32 in order to Exchange files and don't have to deal with a file system extension third buggy.

    Then it crashes. There is no update. I tried a variety of different films with different content and it crashes. I've tried resetting preferences, but not agree. Any ideas?

    You draw this information, or are they drawn on their own?

    Looks like you found the info from Profiler for your files.  You have a mm.cfg file on your system?  If you use FlexBuilder/FlashBuilder of profiling, it can leave behind a mm.cfg file that will do everything the SWF content to information in Profiler output during playback in the browser or the Flash IDE.

    Please see if you have a mm.cfg file to:

    • Windows XP:C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\mm.cfg
    • Windows Vista/7 - C:\Users\<username>\mm.cfg
    • OS x - Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Macromedia/mm.cfg

    If you find such a file, delete it or move it to another location.

  • InDesign keeps crashing and corrupting my files

    InDesign crashes on a regular basis, whenever it crashes I lose the last file that was open when the accident occurred. I can not re - open this file, if I try to open it, indesign crashes again and again. What happened 7 times in the last two months. I'm getting really sick of having to re - build complicated art files.

    It doesn't seem to be any consistency to when it crashes. Most of the time however, ID crashes right after (or as) the file that I worked on is closed.

    I'm on CC 2015 the latest version and I'm running OS X 10.9.5. (don't have not updated to Yosemite yet)

    I just tried to re - open file corrupted todays again once and it came with the following info on "an invalid image. If I press Yes or no, it won't let me open & ID crashes again.

    Please help urgently!  Is there any way I can recover my file corrupted from today?

    Thanks Peter, I was able to get a working version of the file.

    Oh also I spoke with tech support and they said that this is the fix for the current version of indesign.

    In the case where you have still questions freezing/accidents along the steps mentioned in this forum, please make sure you keep all your elements of policies at the root of the library itself instead of placing them in the records - as a work around.

    These accidents as well as redundant duplication of elements of the library police have been fixed in Flash CC.

    So, looks like I was too quick to blame Flash.  I had a bad fonts on my Mac: (works perfectly now Flash CS5.5 :)

  • Flash crashing and video playback/Streaming problems

    Recently did a reinstall of Windows 7 and have experienced problems with Flash and video playback in general. Questions may or may not be related. I have not detected problems with the opera and so I think that these are problems of Firefox. 3 major video sites that I use are (HTML 5 player) YouTube, twitch.tvand Crunchyroll.

    (1) flash very quickly and systematically accidents

       * Specifically noted when viewing streams on twitch.tv
   * Often crashes within a minute, almost certainly within a few minutes
   * Crash logs provided below

    (2) reading crashes

       * Occurs on all 3 sites
   * On twitch, stream freezes (but Flash does not crash). On YouTube, loading circle comes up and video freezes
   * If this occurs on twitch, Flash less likely to officially crash

    (3) volume cuts

       * Occurs on all 3 sites
   * If this occurs on twitch, Flash may still crash after
   * I've had volume issues with my system in general, with volume occasionally cutting in gaming programs, such as League of   Legends and Hearthstone. That being said, I do not experience this issue with Opera and this only occurs on video playback in Firefox.

    Attempts at Solutions:

       * Disabled hardware acceleration in Flash
   * Reinstalled/Updated Flash and (I think) made sure there is only one version of Flash

   * Updated all drivers

    I wouldn't stop using Firefox as my preferred browser and works fine on all my other devices, but if the problem persists, I'll have to. Any help or insight is appreciated!

    Unfortunately, I have tried all fixes of cor - el without success.

    However, I started to use audio drivers Realtek instead of Microsoft and everything seems to work more smooth. Will update later when I did several tests.

    This can help:

    Reboot safe mode (it is a slow process):

    -stop of the mac

    -Start up the mac in shift, press and hold until you see appear it to progress bar, so you can let go

    -When everything started, connect

    -Once connected, stop the mac once again, nothing else is necessary.

    -restart normally.

    If you have not installed recovery console, and then run from the start menu

    go to start, run, type cmd

    in cmd type chkdsk c:/r, and press enter

    type y for Yes and press enter

    Type exit, and press enter

    restart the pc, let checkdisk finish and run again.

    I have a laptop HP that used Vista. I recently decided to install Windows 7 on it a week ago, but I've had problems since.

    I find that as a first step, I would like to watch YouTube and he played very well. However, after a few hours, Youtube should take a break and pop would be a mistake, saying that Shockwave Flash broke down.     Avoid copying files from one computer to the other. It won't work. You run out of hidden files scattered around the hard drive and interrupt the licensing mechanism.

    Uninstall, run the cleanup tool.
