  If the problem still persists, there may be a chance that the problem is due to system files, so I suggest you to check the system files are they work very well or not and to check who are trying to run the (SFC) System File Checker tool.

  Scan SFC will be scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  In fact, pretty sure I've found the problem. I had MS Security Essentials, as well as McAfee in my computer. These worked very well in my last CPU (which was Windows XP support) but apparently caused problems in this one (Windows 7). Since I eliminated a (they are both exactly the same thing anyway) I don't seem to have any problems, as well as my computer has accelerated a bit too. ;)

• Warranty recorded wrongly - wrong Dates and countries! How to fix?

  I bought a new printer C1760nw from a UK supplier - delivered to me on March 10, 2015 and I registered it on line March 12, 2015.

  Just checked the details of the guarantee on the website and found the guarantee had a registered start date of April 27, 2014 (11 months before delivery!) and end date 27 April 2015 (just one year after the bad start date).  'Country' also appears wrongly as France - although I lived in the United Kingdom.

  Can someone tell me please how to fix these details? Can't see a relevant e-mail on the Web site.  Appreciate some advice - thanks!

  The original Dell warranty applied to service Dell point-of-sale printer number still applies. If the dealer purchased from Dell on 27 April 2014 with a 2 year warranty, 2 years warranty do not "start over" when they sell 11 months later. If the seller bought UK Dell printer on 27 April 2014, then it's at the start of the guarantee. Not when you buy it from the dealer. What you bought was the "rest" of the warranty of the original purchase. If you bought the printer directly from Dell, you will receive the full warranty. You will need to continue this Dell UK team.

• Help!  Large iTunes library split into two locations, how to fix?

  Long ago, I told iTunes to store its iTunes Media on a NAS file and I copied the iTunes folder all my D: to the NAS unit.  I also said iTunes to keep organized records and copy files of music added to the NAS.

  I just found out by examining the XML file that iTunes thinks about half of my music files (~ 7,000 of them) are located on the D: drive and other ~ 7 000 are there where I want it all, on the NAS.  Number of files on the NAS which I however contained artist/album music files are empty; the files appear to have been erased and are still on the D: drive where the XML points to them.  Management of iTunes files (XML. ITL, etc..) iTunes is now current are also on the D: drive... those on the NAS are not kept up to date.

  I thought my massive library - countless hours to rip my CD - safe on the multi-plate RAID NAS.  Goes, if I lose my D: drive (which I was backup is no longer) I lose half of my library and all of my iTunes administrative folders.  Ouch!

  How can I get safely iTunes exclusively use the SIN for all the data files and of the administration?

  If I re - copy data from D: to the NAS and edit the XML file to point to the NAS for all files, iTunes will not even watch D: for the management of the library?  How can I do forget d everything?

  By modifying the file XML will not help at all - iTunes only writes to this file, the bed ever.  Assuming that all of your media plays correctly then you should be able to consolidate your library (file > library > organize library > consolidate files).  This will copy all the multimedia files that are not in the iTunes media folder location specified in Edit > Preferences > advanced to this location.  Note, however, that many reports suggest that iTunes + SIN is not an ideal combination; You can be better to use a standard external drive for your library and use the NAS device for backups.  You can also watch the advice to user turingtest2 on do a split cell library for more details on the optimization of available to your library.

  Still not too sure what happened or how it happened by the way, but when I turned on my PC today, I had the menu to choose start normally or repair starter system, when I try to start normally, the computer just as it happened to the Windows 7 loading screen. After that there a few times, I tried a system repair... He once checked for any problems and said then that he was trying to fix, but after waiting a few minutes, an error box appeared, saying "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically" following with send/don't send. After closing the box, I have the option to go to advanced options, which includes the system restore and System Image recovery, but since I have no restore points or Image to recover with, there is not much that I seem to be able to do. I have no idea what to do with it, without the drive I can not install a new version and wouldn't really, because there is a lot of work on there that i prefer to keep, any alternative?

  The Informatics iron law says that important or irreplaceable files must be stored at least two independent media. A lot of people ignore this rule. Some change their backup philosophy until they suffer a great success, others wait until after a disaster. A 2.5 drive "in a box external USB is an inexpensive but very effective backup media. In your case you can probably recover your data by starting on a command Console and copy your files on such a disk, using commands in the console.

  On your inability to start Windows: you have exhausted almost all options, but there is a small chance that you could restore the windows to restore a previous version of your registry files. The process is complex and requires some careful typing. Ask a computer-savvy friend to help you if you lack experience in this field. Note that it may reset your password to a previous value.
  1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
  2. select Repair from the menu.
  3 log in as administrator if you are prompted.
  4. Select repair when prompted.
  5. Select the command line.
  6. identify the correct drive letter for your Windows installation. It could be one drive other than c, but it will not X:. You do this by typing commands
  DIR C:\Win*
  Dir D:\Win*
  dir E:\Win*
  until you find the Windows folder.
  I'll call this "Q:" drive
  7 type these commands:
  CD /d Q:\windows\System32\config
  xcopy *. * Q:\RegBack\
  CD RegBack
  dir
  8. review the dates of the software, system, and SAM files. The files created before or after that is your problem?
  9. If they were made before the problem appeared, you can then type these commands:
  copy software / y...
  /y copy system...
  /y copy Sam...
  (the two points are part of each order)
  10. restart normally. If things don't work then you can go back by copying files from the original register of Q:\Regback to Q:\Windows\System32\config.
