Help! I'm in hell HDMI!

My TV - a Sony Bravia KDL37S5500 - has never been able to connect to my laptop via HDMI without blinking intermittently, which then becomes the image of a blue tint.

My laptop is a HP G61-110EA.

I sent Sony TV for repair, because it does not work with any of my laptops.  They say that the problems of my devices.

They told me to change the HDMI settings on my laptop.  I am running Windows 7 and don't know how to do this.  As I say, the TV does not work with my laptop or my apple TV, so I really can't be sure what the situation is.  Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Ive tried different cables and the problem persisted.  I tried my devices on other TVs and they were all very good.

If it works on other TVs and not on your Sony when you are using the same HDMI cable then the problem is with your Sony TV.

In Windows, there is a presentation mode that is accessible by holding the Windows key and by pressing the P button when connected to an external monitor. Presentation mode works with external monitors and digital projectors to allow a user to choose where it will be displayed.

. If the screen turns blue and makes other strange things, then the TV has a problem of entry.

Are you sure you have connected the HDMI cable to the HDMI input correct? My Philips HDTV has three HDMI inputs. There is one at the back and two on the side.

  • HP ENVY Notebook m7: BIOS update messed up my HDMI port

    I put the laptop to 'sleep' last night and some automatic updates happened the day after. Today, the HDMI port does not work. I did a recovery of pilots, but that does not solve the problem. Then I went to update the BIOS, but I have installed version is F35 and what was available was an F11 Rev A version (the confusing part is that the F11 version had a newer version which date of the F35, 3 months). In any case, the option to install the F11 Rev A Bio was not available, making only one port USB of the BIOS recovery of other computers.

  • No hdmi audio on desktop Pavilion 3621

    Help!, good output over hdmi has stopped working!

    I followed all the instructions as shown in the hp guide on that, does not and watched the video.

    The output and the microphone input (as illustrated in the webcam software) is shown graphically on the bar graphs in the Realtek & Windows Vista property tabs but not HDMI tv output. Nothing is cut.

    It has recently stopped working for some unknown reason, and whatever I can't get it back (video via hdmi works but!)

    Is the onboard sound kaput? How will I know? If so I can install a his own card which will manage in conjunction with the video card hdmi? someone at - it went down this path? If so, what card was used?

    Problem solved! It was simply to roll back only the latest Nvidea graphics driver update! There must be a bug in there for this computer,

  • my screen goes black when I plug in my HDMI cable

    I have never had a problem with the help of my my TV HDMI cable to watch movies from my laptop.  I do not know whether the windows update is causing this problem, but when I plug in my HDMI cable to my laptop, the screen goes black and the TV receives no signal.

    Hi, I had the same problem when I plugged the hdmi for the first time that I chose the 'graphics options-> output-> TV' at first by right-clicking on the desktop. Later I selected "change pc settings" section of charms and the selected tab devices add a device and while the laptop was looking I have connected the hdmi cable. This is how I got to the TV screen.
    probably, you will need to turn off the TV and the laptop first. Then put on the tv and select the desired hdmi option before you put on the laptop and pressing on the ' logo window + p "or"fn + f4"keys. Lets c if it works

  • No sound from HDMI output

    so I just plugged my laptop hp Pavilion in my LCD tv with a hdmi cable

    sounds and music can be played on the laptop when it is connected to the tv, but no sound on the tv at all.

    in my sound playback tabs, the device TICK is out HDMI NVIDIA.

    is there a solution to this? (Help please):

    Hello

    HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separated from the sound card of your computer directly to the TV. Otherwise, you need to connect the different audio signal to an output device, such as external speakers or your stereo.

  • E2014T monitor used with Lenovo Ideapad Yoga13

    Please can someone help. Ive downloaded the drivers for this monitor to my laptop, but the ability to sound and touch screen does not work on the monitor when connected and selected either as single view double screen. Pilots say they are installed.

    Very frustrated buyer of Dell monitor. Help, please

    When the HDMI cable is used for the computer to the monitor, you must tell the computer to use HDMI for audio by default. Try these instructions. Please change them if what you see is different...
    Open the Windows Control Panel
    * Click on hardware and sound
    * Click on manage audio devices
    * Right-click right speakers
    * Click on view the disabled devices, audio HDMI should appear
    * Right-click and choose Activate
    * Click apply-OK

  • HPE - 480t only start in safe mode... video driver probs?

    I have recently (1 month ago) got a HPE - 480 t - Windows 7.  No recent changes have been made.  Got back late last night and the screen is lit (not totally black, but nothing about it).  Woman says she had no problem last night, just surf the web and then let it go to sleep.  Computer would not respond to anything, manually restarted, screen has large vertical green bars (2-3 large thumbs - 27 "monitor) when starting, will sometimes get a blue screen of death and then restarts and gives then the option of safe mode (on which I am currently using) safe mode has small lines of roses across the screen.  Windows restore and other bugs just give error messages, startup disk does not help.  Running on an hdmi cable, others don't seem to work at all.

    Video card is 2 GB ATI Radeon HD5570.  Thanks for any help.

    New video card has solved the problem.  It is true that I was skeptical that just plug in a new video card would solve the blue screen of death and graphic issues, but hp has sent a video card next day air, plugged in, and it works as it has never been something wrong.

  • Cisco dual audio profile does not

    Hello. I have a Cisco TelePresence profile 52/55 double running TC6.1.1.7d7af15, which was the factory reset and after reconfiguration, this audio problems. Any audio simply no longer works (the people in the room can't hear).

    Speaker cables have been checked and look good. Configs are as below. Any suggestions in addition to the upgrade of the software? I don't think that we have a license for TC7... Thanks for any help!

    Regarding your license TC7 - if your unit is covered by an active service contract, you should be able to retrieve a license key from the Cisco Licensing Portal: http://www.cisco.com/go/licence

    You have no active service contract, you can communicate with ATC and refer to the recent secuirty GNU Bash Advisory to get a ' free update ' to TC7.2.1 under the section "customers without service contract.

  • Could not get the internet/wireless connection after you installed new hard drive?

    I have a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC (dv6736nr), Windows Vista laptop.  The hard drive crashed and I got a new installed.   I set up my wireless connection, even that is on the other 4 computers in this building (my desktop computer running win7 netbook win7 running 2 computers of the landlord, winVista running - they have comcast modem,? a good router) when I set up the wireless connection, it connects only 'local', no internet.  I researched this some, tried all the places with a parameter that can be a problem, but nothing helped.  What the hell did I miss?  The connection is good because it works on my desk, on which I write, as I said. To my knowledge, the hard disk the the wireless are not connected; or is it? Any help, the concrete steps that I take on my laptop, the settings themselves, would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello:

    If your laptop computer is the Atheros wireless card, you probably just update the driver.

    The symptoms you listed seem to indicate that is the problem.
