  Ties are both described a font I made some changes on the versions. The first attachment is my original edit, the second is the scaled down edition. As you can see in such areas as those that I outlined in orange, the edges become more rough as its scale down. This is supposed to be a little rough, but it is making it too hard. Why is this happening? Which can be avoided? Features of the scale and effects is turned on, if that makes a difference.

• Help! JavaScript works not when the object is moved from one page to the other!

  Hi all:

  I am new to Adobe Livecycle Designer (version 8.0). I created an interactive pdf form of 3 pages with many objects (text fields, radio buttons, drop-down lists, etc.), our company wants to quickly start to use.

  I'm having trouble with some of my Javascript does not not with some of my items on page 2 of the form. Specifically, there is a drop down menu to "Country" on page 2 of my form. When the user selects, for example, 'United States' in the list, I have the Javascript code that is supposed to change the 'currency' list drop-down to "Dollars" rawValue accordingly (on the change event).

  I think that my Javascript syntax is correct, but I am not sure. Here's my simple Javascript associated with the "Country" drop-down list (Note: rawValue 80 = 'United States' and 105 rawValue = "US $"):

  It sounds pretty simple and it WORKS when my "Country" drop-down list is moved to page 1 of the form, but it WON'T WORK when I move the combo box "Country" return to page 2 of the form (i.e. where it belongs).

  Anyone has suggestions or solutions? I spent probably 6-8 hours of racking my brain trying to figure out why it works when on a single page, but it does not work when to move to another page. I guess I can have corrupted something OR that I not address fully the proper name of the object?

  Yes, it's a quirk of... in the drop-down lists when you select an item in the DOF it is not committed until you exit the field, unless you do the following:

  ElseIf (this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText) == 2) {}

  cmbCurrency.rawValue = 2;

  }

  The xfa.resolveNode stuff was not necessary that both objects are of the same subform, and as such can 'see' each other.

  Think like a folder structure subforms - elements can see what is in their own folder but will say where to find things in other folders. If cmbCountry was subform1 and cmbCurrency was so in subform2 that rawValue above lines would look like:

  subform2.cmbCurrency.RawValue = 1;

  It's a good idea to name all your objects, subforms, etc. it is to work with script is much easier - so you won't have to deal with things like these pieces of xfa.resolveNode you had before (as well). He ones because you have more than one subform called "subform", the number of hooks is the Instance number (when you have several of the same object) if the program has to differentiate between the various "subform".

  In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid.

  You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the Transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.

  You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  When I test my index finger in a generated Webhelp project, the topics associated with the keyword that I click are not willing to be placed in alphabetical order, but randomly.

  When I click on the same keyword, in RoboHelp (in the Index before the generation) project, the topics are arranged correctly.

  Is there a setting in RoboHelp or Internet Explorer that would straighten out this point, or is it just a bug of RoboHelp?

  You can manually "rearrange the Perfect file" as you describe to achieve the desired order. Some notes of clarification are added below:

  1. I doubt if your Perfect file is corrupt (although all things are possible.) The Perfect file is an xml text file and easily modified with Notepad.
  2. Of course, you want to back up your original first before editing.
  3. You cannot delete the Index in the designer and recreate it on the fly as simply as the use of the automatic table of contents that uses the folder structure. The only way to create an "Automatic Index", is to use the smart Index Wizard. But most of the people who can't find useful because it takes more time to use it properly. It is best to create it from scratch. In addition, this would not solve your question alphabetical.
  4. I stuck a test below where I added an alpha character in each topic title directly in the XML, as shown. (In other words, I do not add the alpha character to the real title tag in the subject.) It works as advertised WebHelp output.
  5. Interestingly, it does not in the MS HTML Help .chm version. It's because Microsoft uses the title of the topic to form the text of the displayed entry.
  6. It's not a bug, because a large number of process is governed by Perfect original format of Microsoft. But it would be an interesting feature request (signature of Rick above)

  I have a problem with my laptop. Today, I have reinstalled Windows and after the first reboot it freezes on the HP Logo and did not meet any key. I tried with other drives 2.5 "hard and did not work at all. Without HARD drive, I was able to boot from a Linux live cd without problem.

  Could it be linked to the motherboard, if so, is it repearable?

  Thanks for the reply. I disassembled the unit, it is cleaned of dust (there was very little) and reassembled the laptop. The SATA controller somehow obtained and ready, and I was able to boot from the HARD drive.

  Now everything works fine.

• With the help of product recovery CD when the hard drive replaced

  Hi all

  It seems that my hard drive is defective, so I bought a replacement, installed in the laptop OK and tried to use the Toshiba product recovery disc. The laptop started with the disc OK and recovery of product starting screen appeared and I started the process. The process starts, but then crashes and no matter how much time wait nothing further happens.

  I put the defective hard drive, back to and started on the recovery disk and it started and the process started OK.

  The recovery disc can not be used on a replacement hard drive? Surely, this is possible, as hard drives do fail and must be replaced.

  Can someone tell me how to fix it please?

  In General, you can use recovery image after replacing HARD drive. I did the same thing on my machine.
  It was: is the new HARD drive recognized properly? After Exchange of HDD enter BIOS and check this.
  Before you begin the recovery image installation if please try to set the BIOS to the default settings and try reinstalling the recovery image.

  So here's my problem, in collaboration with illustrator for quite a few years now but have had no formal training. My work is currently designing icons for various companies.

  I'm working on canvas 24mmx24mm, single layer.

  Often I want to collect the 2 existing icons to something more complex that I have one or two down as needed. However anchor points appear to develop a mind of their own when with these kind of scales, 30mm or less, as in the screenshots below.

  Is there an obvious answer or solution to this problem? Is this something I am doing wrong? For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!

  Looks like you have snap to grid of pixels on. You can disable that by selecting all and remove the check mark in the transform palette expanded and also in the drop-down menu of the transformation to the new palette objects do not have this attribute.

  

  Now the icons are usually low res to work for digital, so you can keep in line with the pixel grid on. So when you do your bitmap (.jpg, .gif, .png) files they will look as they do in illustrator. This way your .ai file is designed to fall along the grid of pixels rather than duty be understood by going for the .ai format to format bitmap/web.

  Well aligned to the pixel grid is very useful for web work especially on rectangles, I believe that the ellipses are one of the elements that do not work on. Someone that webwork on a daily basis, what else may give a further explanation.

• How to keep image quality after the downward revision

  I have a jpg of high quality, but after the scaling down to 30%, the quality is terrible when I Zoom. See the image below. How can I fix?

  

  You're both wrong. The solution is high end and then reduce a precomp. And Rick Gerard, I would appreciate that you stopped to insult my AE skills. I am a professional paid for 8 years. It's just something that doesn't come every day.

• Path deforms when (CS6) downward revision

  I know, I know. Asked this question a million times already. Unfortunately the align new objects to the grid in pixels / tip to match the pixel grid does not work for me. When I resize the image down to tiny proportions, the path becomes horribly, disgustingly deformed. It seems that the pixels are either aligned on a sort of grid, but as you certainly can see in the screenshot, the option is disabled. I tried switching between RGB and CMYK with no luck, but I have not messed with the document profile spent. I'm not yet ready to spend a couple of hours recreating the image.

  Why is this happening?

  I use Illstrator CS6. Everything except the "web studio" is a path.

  Ok. I understand what they want now. Unfortunately there is no way to achieve what they want. A consequence of resizing of the window, is that you lose focus on what is selected in the section. This is something that affects all windows, not only the CHM files. Try selecting part of a web page and the resizing of the window. The same happens.

  I have a problem where I'm doing the tick of the needle of the hours, minutes and seconds correctly.  I made timers with 1000 ms, 60000 ms and ms 3600000 initially and it worked but I tried to accelerate, so I divided all 3 in proportion,
