  Sorry, but I don't really know what the problem is here. In any case, try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Choose the time prior to installation of update from Ms. Everything should be as it was before.

From now, the first time that the virtual machine gets up, my request to get the host name for this virtual machine. Now, if the host name of this virtual machine changes, is there any event that will be generated by VMWare or VC tools that my application can subscribe to in order to choose the host name change?

  There is no integrated case that will capture this.  The virtual machine has the dns name property that can be extracted from the db, or using one of the vi toolkits.  You can run gets against these data and validate it against the previous value, but no direct case is only triggered when the host inside the virtual machine name is changed.

• in the export file name changes loses link catalog

  I'm a newbie LR3 (or any version of LR also). Been using CS4 and CS5 now for a little over a year

  & became comfortable with 5 Raw and Raw 6 now.

  I have the wierdest thing happen when I 'import' my photos in LR3 (no matter if it is a card or an external hard drive). I have created a preset in the section file to change the name of the file to import handling. So instead of the file DSC_0001.jpg, the preset I replace it (then), Mikes_photos_20100725_DSC_0001.jpg. Export works very well, everything is great. I even let LR running (and tried to restart the computer or the program), but when I get back later, the catalog cannot find pictures (image of low resolution cat., but not on the picture). I said that it cannot find "DSC_0001.jpg. It's right there in the folder it is looking, but the new name - given the file by LR3 when importing is no longer the short name but the most recent long name. When I click on the new name, he said something like, "make sure that you want to link this since both names are not the same?

  I just reproduced the error rename you described (and mentioned in the thread I linked above): when you have backups to import enabled and a file with the same name already exists in the backup location, rename it on import will fail and leave a broken link between the catalog and the file.

• Need help with the advanced file Type changes

  Somehow all my folders of changed files option.  Instead of the folder when you click it, it opens the search.

  I know where and what to change, just do not know how.  Under Tools > folder options > file types, I select "files" and click "Advanced".  Of course, it says 'find '.  I click on 'new' under 'action', I type 'open', but what should I put under "Application used to perform action:"?  It won't let me not leave the field empty.  When I looked to see how it was done in 'file', 'edit' is gray.  I tried to look on other computers, but everyone has Vista, Vista doesn't even have a tab "file type" under folder options and I couldn't find it anywhere else.

  I haven't looked the images that I fully understand what you're saying. Rh10 file name shows when you go back to the page settings, Rh11 he Custom changes. It was my point of view, firstly in Rh11 it worked that way but Adobe has made a change while now it turns into Custom. It's always the selected file, but it shows custom rather than the file name.

  I marked with Adobe that it is useless, but, as I said, this is the way it is for now.

  When I change username in jdoe to us AD will tell jdoe123 everything works fine (the user can connect to the office), except that view admin (inventory tab) still shows usernam jdoe instead of jdoe123.
  Also if I manually assign the user to a new order desk more > assign here, I can find oly his old username instead of new.

  I thought that view gets AD user names, but it seems that some caching or something.  So how to solve this problem, I already looked into ADAM db on view server but I can't find where this former username is stored?

Now I'm going to put in place the event "Attribute of change", so that any changes made to the IOM users get implemented in OID. All change events work correctly until now except 'change name '.
