  1. put the image files you want in the slide show in an album and genre as you want. Follow the Apple document to prepare images for iDVD: iDVD ' 09 (7.x): preparing images for iDVD slideshows

  2 - Launch iDVD and select an older theme, not animated.  You can change the background of the theme by dragging the image file of your choice, black or other, in the display pane for the menu.

  3 - Click on the button '+' and add a slideshow from the menu.

  5. in the media pane click the Photos button.

  Once the project you want it save it as an image disk via the menu file → save as Disk Image . It will separate from the process of encoding of the burning process.

  To check coding mount the disk image, launch a DVD player and read it.  If it plays OK with DVD, encoding is good.

  Burn burn to disc with utility disk or toasts to the slowest speed (2 x - 4 x) in order to ensure the best quality.  Always use higher quality media: Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are recommended in these forums.

  Use a video converter and convert your .mov to wmv format. Re-import into Movie Maker.
  It should work fine now.

  Don't know the JavaScript method. But this can be achieved by using advanced and variable actions.

  Increment the value of the custom variable, say attempts, by 1 whenever the user clicks on the button. Use conditional action ahead, where you can specify,

  If the retry value = 1, see the SmartShape_1

  If the retry value = 2, see the SmartShape_2 and so on.

  Not sure why you want to set the properties of size and location by using a script. You can place the right size to the required default position smartshapes.

  If you had FCP7, you have Quicktime 7 Pro (upgraded automatically at installation FCP7). Check your Applications > Utilities folder.

  Open the gif in QT7 and export as... (Sequence Quicktime Movie > Open Options)... might as well go with ProRes LT and make sure that you pay attention to the size option (select current if the original is 100%).
