Help me to allocate my band bandwidth (net mgmt, vMotion, FT)
Hi all
I recently started working on a new project and have a pretty cool material to work with (HP c3000, Flex 10, etc..)
I need to make smart decisions for how much bandwidth allocated networks (by host):
- Network management (1 GB)
- Tolerance of failure (1 GB) - just for the pace attack, right?
- vMotion (?)
- Trunk for networks of users (10 GB)
I can spend anywhere between 1 and 8 GB of vMotion. I guess I am looking for a best practice for how vMotion of bandwidth can really use.
We plan of 500 VMS VDI on 8 blades.
I guess we could use DRS more vMotion. DRS uses the vMotion network when moving machines (I think that Yes...).
Thank you!
Drew
OK, didn't know you had mezz cards for 10 flex as well. In this case, you have 40Gbit overall skinning, bandwidth even if its honestly * well * exceeding what you need here. If you still can, I might consider to return the Mezz cards and save some $$.
I could do that (with just cards LOM Flex and see if you can return the Mezz cards and assuming you are not IP storage):
Mgmt: 1Gbit
vMotion: 5 GB
The user traffic: 4Gbit
If you use the Ip storage (lefthand, eql, etc.):
Mgmt: 1Gbit
vMotion: 3 GB
IP storage: 3 Gbps
The user traffic: 3 Gbps
If you want to really keep and use the Mezz cards:
On the LOM maps
Mgmt: 1Gbit
vMotion: 4 Gbit
IP storage: 5Gbit
Mezz card
The user traffic: 10 GB
Do not forget that this is #s card, so when you please in vswitches you effectivly double the troughputs.

Satellite M30-704: band bandwidth hoggin?
Hi This is my first post so go easy on me.
I have a satellite m30 704 currently under xp sp2 and my problem is that I share a wireless network with two other computers, another laptop manufacturing running xp sp2 & a mac from apple OSX.
The router is a netgear DG834GT.
They are all connected via wifi & it seems to be my laptop creating the problem monopolizing the bandwidth?
If I'm on the net at the same time as other portable computer manufacture it is not a problem at all, but if I'm on the net at the same time as the imac it takes literally 5 minutes to load a page on the imac.
It happens also that as soon as I pass on the other computer laptop manufacturing & I am connected regardless of the fact that I'm not really surf the net?
But if the XP laptop & the imac are both online at the same time there is no problem at all.
I'm completely baffed to that I have absolutely no idea why this is happening, I even contacted netgear & they suggested upgrading the firware & reconfigure the router, done cela & still no luck so please can someone help me before I'm left with no option but also to buy a new laptop like the imac user is my brother who is a freelance graphic designer so that it uses his imac for work, hes, threatening to disconnect me!
Thank you
Hello
A question: why you have connected two units machine to Windows XP and MAC to the internet if you only work with one at the same time?
Disable the connection on Windows XP computer laptop for work with MAC and everything will be ok ;)I don't know why the Internet is slowly on other units while the Satellite M30 704 was connected to the WLan router. Maybe a part 3 application is running in the background and the bandwidth with both hands
What card WiFi has been installed on the M30?
It supports a 802.11 B or 802. 11A / B WLan standards?
Maybe the map of the M30 WiFi signal has a bad influence on the correctly WLan signal received on the iMAC that knows -
Problems of band bandwidth WRT120N and torrent
Hey guys,.
I have a small problem and maybe you can help:
Tested to speedtouch.net my router shows a great download and upload rate (no difference between a direct connection and reouter). The problem is when I try to download something using a torrent client:
Without the router, I get more than 10 MB/s in a torrent download
With the router installed, I am max 2, 5 MB/s when you are downloading the same torrent
It's like he is to limit my download speed when it comes to torrents. I tried the static IP port and forwarding but it made things worse, of 2, 5 MB/s speed drops to 1, 8 MB/s.
If you have any ideas, or met the same problem that I did and managed to make it work please let me know how you did it.
Thanks a lot guys
UPDATE: for all those like me who want to know what's happening, here it is: these routers have limited firmware (2-3 MB / s 6-8MB / s and wireless LAN).
There is nothing you can do to make better it (no parameters, no tweaking of any kind). They are built like that for stability, or what they say. Only the WRT54GL model and beyond to allow you to put a firmware open source which allows you to increase the speed a little.
PS Don't worry your router isn't broken, no mather what linksys support guys, this is the only firmware limited bandwidth (all routers and their original firmware this limitation) and they will never tell you that they will propose to replace it and get a new one instead.

Band bandwidth SMU for FPGA chassis
I'm specing on material for an FPGA FlexRIO system. The module FPGA and adapter, we will use has already been defined, a 7975R and a 5782. For our application, we will be streaming 2 inputs analog on a RT controller attached. From my understanding, these samples will be single precision floating point numbers, each of which is a piece of 4 bytes. Assuming that the 5782 max sampling rate is used, 250 MECH. / s, I think that I will need 2 GB/s of bandwidth on my SMU chassis.
Here my question, then, what SMU chassis should I consider? The SMU-1082 has "up to 2 GB/s per-slot dedicated bandwidth", but it is a real or theoretical number? Normally, I would just get the next thing that high, just to be sure, but there is a significant price difference on the way to the SMU 1085, which is also much larger I need. So I would like to save space and several thousands of dollars if I could get away with a 1082. Sampling does not quite to the max modules of adaptation would be acceptable, but I would be interested to know where about my maximum sampling speed would be.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The 1082 has more than enough bandwidth to stream data at a time to the analog inputs of a 5782. The 5782 has a 14 bit ADC with two channels that sample to 250 ms/s. These samples are returned as an I16 with the two least significant bits filled with zeros.
So assuming that you transfer all I16, rather than packing the 14 bits of data, you would have the following bandwidth requirements.
2 channels x 2 bytes/sample x 250 mega-samples per second = 1 GB/s
The 1082 a 2 GB/s of throughput dedicated per slot. The 7975 accommodates up to 1.6 Gbps streaming. I would recommend calling chat with someone, if you are looking for a recommendation on what type of chassis to purchase, but based on the requirements of streaming that you're fine with the combo 7975 and 1082, you thought. Just make sure you get a controller which can accommodate streaming speeds you're looking for. The 8840 is a good candidate.

Video of Jabber Cisco Telepresence band bandwidth provisioning
Hello
We have deployed video jabber cisco for telepresence 4.5 with VCS 7.2 and TMS 13.2.2. We use jabber to take interviews. The candidates will be sent the link to download the jabber with the required authentication settings. The Jabber is configured with the Public Max and minimum bandwidth of 768 Kbps.
My question is related to the downspeed of bandwidth. If we configure the bandwidth of 768 Kbps prvosining and internet bandwidth of candidates is less than 768 Kbps will be the Downspeed VCS to accroding appeal to the bandwidth of the network of candidates.
for example if my internet connection from home is just 512 Kbps and the use of the jabber to make a call to ex90 in my office. Bandwidth settings is preconfigured in the jabber as 768 Kbps. When the call is established will be VCS downspeed the call at 512 Kbps.
Krishna.
You cannot configure a minimum bandwidth, which is always the maximum bandwidth jabbervideo will use.
The user can only set this value downward but not upward, but as the client detects a loss and stores a database
with information on used networks recently and its quality.
So, should not be a big problem the faster speeds available and allow the customer to do magic.
I woud recommend to (re) read the Jabber_Video_Administrator_Guide
This gives you more information concerning automatic bandwidth adaptation and capabilies of bandwidth detection.

Svchost.exe constantly downloading stuff devours my limited bandwidth
Hello everyone, I am running Windows 7 and recently I had this problem with svchost.exe and hope someone here could help me fix. The problem is that my computer out of no where just begins downloading stuff (I don't know what it is download), I have a band bandwidth monitor (BitMeter) and have noticed these constant downloads. So I started researching on the internet and a small program called TCPView and found out that the downloads are caused by a program (I don't know which) using svchost.exe. TCPView I am able to put an end to the process, that said using the Task Manager these processes are not visible or accessible so my only chance to stop him is to use another TCP or process viewer. Also when I stop it is only temporary as it starts again after a few minutes.
I run the command (tasklist/SVC /fi "imagename eq svchost.exe") and found some inconsistency with the download market and without (after that I stopped it) and found it market/download Appinfo, BITS and Wuauserv serve I don't know what program uses this service, hope that helps. I can't afford to work because I have a little bit of bandwidth, I tried a few things like HiJackThis, Windows Defender, Avast Anti Virus, Norton Internet Security to name but a few, that I even restored my PC to the way it was when I bought it first, and none of them fixed my problem. Help please
Excuse my English/grammar, I'm a little frustrated now to try to keep this thing remotely, thanks in advance for your help
Its occur mainly because of BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)
Stop this service.
Go to Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services - Search BITS and stop the service by right-clicking on it and then click on stop. Also in the properties of this service select manual or disable.
You can update your windows at any time to activate whnevr u hv a connection inactive.

I want to turn my system performance down to test something, you see a game was crashing constantly, and their tech support says I'm serger my CPU and RAM, I went into the bios and set default by pressing f10 or whatever key is in the corner it says to change the default settings the computer resets, then stop reset once again but nothing has changed, I want to lower my CPU and RAM speed to see if this helps out there but when I Googled it I can find are sites that tell you how to increase your speed. support for the game wouldn't tell me how to do this, they said to ask you how to change the settings to their normal values
This is what they sent me after I sent them a report on the speed of the computer when it was running the game
According to your report Speccy, you are overclocking of your CPU and RAM, I can show you here:
For CPU speeds:
Stock Core Speed 3400 MHz Stock Bus Speed 100 MHz
Actual speeds:
Basic speed 4222,3 MHz
103,0 MHz bus speedSpeeds of RAM provided:
Band bandwidth Max PC3 - 10700H (667 MHz)
Actual speeds of RAM:
DRAM frequency 823,9 MHz
Please return both CPU and RAM clocks excessive normal values
Thanks for any help you can give me with this overclocking

MPLS TE tunnel broadband bandwidth and ip rsvp bandwidth
I have a few questions about how to reserve bandwidth in MPLS TE environment.
1. we need IP RSVP bandwidth in any concern in MPLS TE environment interface, right?
2. What is the purpose of ip rsvp bandwidth?
3 tunnel MPLS traffic engineering connection XXX, the define command band bandwidth flow initiated by head, if sending more than XXX flow, how it works? Drop excessive packet in the stream?
Any point is welcome! Thank you!
Hello
(A1) to the right.
A2) with the "ip rsvp bandwidth" it indicates how much bandwidth on an interface can be booked by MPLS TE tunnels.
A3) characteristic misuderstood most probably is MPLS TE. It is a pure function of the control plan. So, there's comparison of reserved bandwidth compared to actual bandwidth used or nocheck.
You can configure an MPLS TE tunnel with 1 Kbps ("mpls traffic engineering tunnel 1") and send 10 Gbps on the way and NONE will be given.
Where there is an interface in the path, that is supported, then packets will be handled independently having a tag to tunnel or not.
You might ask: what the point of MPLS TE, then if I have can´t give guarantees of bandwidth with it? Answer: MPLS allows YOU a selection more complex and controllable path in MPLS environment. In addition features such as Fast ReRoute (FRR) are interesting.
I hope this helps! Please note all messages.

Need serious help. New 8831 phones problems.
Thank you in advance for helping with this.
I pulled out recently of new 8831 conference phones to replace my old phones 7937 spider, unfortunately phones know terrible incoming audio. Phones are on a branch site, connected via MPLS and registered at 8.6 CUCM to Headquarters. We have a total of 900 7940 phones that have no problems in any of the different location and band bandwidth/congestion is not a problem. The audio input signal poor that happens to every call. Audio output is fine. 8831 phones are having the same issues at several sites of the branch, but seems more predominant in some. The question has been described as 'audio static, choppy, distorted, with a few breaks.
I tested with G.729 and G.711 without some luck, after using the web interface to enter stats here, this is what they look like:

Hello
As you can see receiver lost packets number is very high, which will cause audio choppy. Looks like you face below default
https://Tools.Cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCuq03746
Also can ensure you codec used is g729r8 not g729br8. g729br8 has integrated VAD have so it will drop some packets. Also disable VAD in any voip dial peer by using the command "no vad.

Cannot open the Authorware Help Pages
I'm not sure if the installation of IE7 (including service pack 2) caused this problem, or our latest I.T. installation Department I have to upgrade notes, but I get the following error whenever I try to open the Authorware Help Pages, or any other component in 7.01 to CURRENT browser-based. Here is the error:
'The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW don't couldnot located in the dynamic library PSAPI. DLL."
I "googled" PSAPI. DLL and found other people having this problem with other programs such as "band bandwidth Helper. Did anyone else out there having the problem I'm having?
Thank you
CraigDear Mr Tomlinson,
As you suggested, I immediately installed the 7.02 update. It does not solve my problem. I uninstalled IE7, that solved my problem.
Maybe it's a warning to all users to the current 7. Stay away from IE7!
Kind regards
