Help Menu, search bar

I was watching a tutorial by Ben Wilmore. He stressed a search bar that is supposed to be in the Help menu. However I'm not that finding with my PS CC 2015. Where she went, and how I can access?

The search for the Help menu works for all Applications on Mac

Press CMD + SHIFT + /, press (navigation)

However, it is a mainly managed by the community support forum, probably isn't the right place to report bugs (we are unable to implement all the features & devs read here).

  • Search bar works once on the launch of Firefox, then no more. Need help to fix it.

Since the update 28 or 29 does not have the search bar.

More precisely; I enter a search term, say "Monkeyfist", then press enter or on the symbol magnifying glass in the search box. If this is the first time since I have try after I have run Thunderbird, it loads 'Google' (my selected search engine) and starts the search. Everything is good.

If I once again, nothing happens. And Yes, I entered a different search term. Nothing I mean precisely; keystrokes are recognized, the text entered in the search box, but pressing enter or by clicking on the symbol Magnifier it is omitted.

I did download and run the tool of "reset" was proposed, and it made no difference.

I will give you any information that would be useful.
And surely, I would appreciate any help to solve this problem.

I have seen the other question that has been locked and pointed to this topic. Firefox reset should solve this problem. It takes about 10 seconds and will remove the modules and customizations that could cause problems. It will save all of your personal information. You can learn more about here - Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.

To check and install the latest updates for Photoshop you choose the "Help" menu > "Updates". Then Adobe Application Manager starts and indicates if there are updates or not (for all your Adobe software installed).

  • I can't restore the pre-FF34, same subject through search bar: config does not help.

Today, my search bar came to randomly search bar 'new' post-FF34. Despite repeatedly activating / deactivating the browser.search.showoneoffbuttons in all: config, then by restarting the browser to a dozen times, this topic stubbornly remains with the new search. Does anyone know how to do so that he can keep looking for old? Or download the about: config switches to work again?

The underlying code for the browser.search.showOneOffbuttons has been removed since Firefox 43 - there is no way to return to the range of older research.

    Hello world

I am trying to insert a search bar on my Web site so that customers will be able to type in key words (IE. "product name") and be sent to the appropriate pages. Could someone tell me the best way to do it? I looked around, and so far it seems that my options are PHP and google, and I don't really know who I should use or if there is more I am missing.

    any input would be great

    Thank you!

  • All my addon options disappeared from my Tools menu. Help menu item does more either.

Thus, at random, all the options of the addon under the menu bar tools just disappeared on me. I was not yet close FF, it was just instantaneous. A sec I clicked on tools to do something, everything was fine. Then 2 minutes later I clicked on tools again and all my addon options had disappeared.

I tried to restore my profile with FEBE, but I can't find the option restore because it is not in the Tools menu. Argh!

In addition, I don't know if it's related, but my point of menu 'help' will not work. I clicked and nothing happens. I tried a second there to list the version of FF I have...

I'm 99% sure that I have the latest version. Sorry I can't be specific. I also tried deactivation and reactivation so all my addons... and it solves nothing.

    Does anyone have advice?

It is possible that there is a problem with the files that store the registry extensions.

Delete the files (extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the profile folder of Firefox to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created if necessary.

    See "extension corrupted files:

If you see disabled extensions or is not compatible in ' Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button at the left end of the search bar to check if there is an update available compatibility.

If this did not help, then also delete the files addons.json and addons.sqlite possible.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

  • Search bar missing

The search bar is simply missing.

Yesterday I installed this browser. Have not tampered with it at all.

I noticed that you made so that we can not use Google as a search engine by default that is queried when you use the address bar to search for.

I recognize that you did that only because you're competing with Google on the front of the browser.

And I agree that it is the behavior of losing companies.

Back on point: the search bar is high here. And when I go to view the customization, there is nothing in search bar to slide up.

Solve the problem and tell me how to replace immediately the search bar.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start mode safe" - does NOT REFRESH!

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

See also use the search bar in Firefox to change the Google search engine, etc.
