Most toolbars are created extensions, and it looks as if you have enabled extensions. You can check in the following tab:

Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

To select the toolbars are displayed, you can switch the Sub and using a power off of these:

    • Right click on an empty area of the tab bar
    • Press the Alt key > view > toolbars

If the whole toolbar is missing, Firefox may be full-screen mode. Use the F11 function key to switch between full screen and normal views.

  • Windows 7 start menu search can't find any files.

    Hello

Start menu search does produce all files. The only results it shows are programs and Control Panel options. Essential, the search does not find the word, text, excel or pdf. I tried all of the obvious solutions that includes, by adjusting the indexing options. Enabling/disabling Windows Search on and off through programs and features. I have rebuilt the index a multiple of times. Define Windows Search in auto-start Services. I checked and rechecked the extensions of files included in the research and their individual parameters. I confirmed that the system has administration rights to all indexed files.
These files are my documents transferred from Windows XP Professional 32-bit with Windows Easy Transfer to my newly purchased Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The laptop has been approved for upgrade of Windows Upgrade Advisor.
    New suggestion would be appreciated...

    Thanks in advance,
    Wes

I thought about it. There is a search parameter slot under the Start Menu Properties. I can't believe that that has not been suggested as a possible cause on any of the fine Web of MS. well sites.

Right click the Start Menu button.
    Select Properties
Relative to the opening tab of the Start Menu, click "Customize...". »
Scroll to the bottom and with the parameter 'Search the other files and libraries' select search with public folders or search without public folders.
    I hope this helps someone.
  • Very slow Win7 start menu search

I have win7 Professional 64-bit, and the search for the start menu is now very slow.

It used to be instant, but now it takes a good 10 seconds to return results. The results are accurate, just very slow. When searching the process explorer.exe maxes a CPU for the duration of the search until the results are returned - it's almost as if the search on the start menu is not using indexing service, but rather the search for all the files using a conventional search.

I have rebuilt the index several times and it had no effect.

I checked options of indexing and 'users' and 'Start menu' folder are included in the index.

I ran to the resolution of the problems of indexing, and found no problem.

Interestingly, if I search also using Explorer it works very well - results are returned quickly and simply from the start menu, almost instantly-it research that the problem occurs.

    An interesting observation:

When I turn off "Hide protected operating system files" research flies along.

If I allow it so it hides the files it runes very very slow.

Update: more survey shows that even a whole new user profile suffers the same symptoms. As soon as you hide protected operating system files analysis research on the navigation bar (as if it's a manual route). Show protected files and it's instantaneous.

  • My icons on my desktop are missing and in the start menu, my files are missing (ie itunes) as "internet explore runs without any add ons.

2 are all the desktop icons and lack of start menu?

    Step 1:

According to me, everything is fine. The empty space is probably because he has more than 9 recent programs displayed in your Start Menu. To change the setting, right click on the area of the taskbar, click Properties-> tab Start Menu-> customize-> number of programs to display (default is 9).

  • [Solved] Windows 7 start menu search work does not correctly

    Hello
I hope you guys can help me with the following:
As I removed (through the registry) libraries in Windows 7 (see notice at the bottom) I can't find common things such as 'cmd' 'Notepad' or 'calc (tab'ulator)' find the programs installed in the search from the start menu, but CAN FIND paths like C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe. Research in the Solution Explorer window is not affected by this problem. If I try to search for example "cmd" in the search for the start menu it says "no element not corresponding to your research." When I click on "See more results" it shows This popup (click here). So I restored the registry keys, but it will not work correctly again.

FYI: I tried several things to solve this problem but never fixed it:
-see if the Windows Search service and Indexing Service are running (> Yes, auto-start)
-rebuild the index (it indexes 2 additional partitions on my hard drive, C:\Windows, C:\Users, C:\Program Files (x 86)------and standard folders like the Start Menu)
-Uninstall and reinstall Windows Search and Indexing Service (via Windows turn on or off features in the control panel > programs and features)
    -delete the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search
    -Tools Microsoft FixIt
-Troubleshooting (also the problems search and indexing)
    -create new user account

I forgot something? If so, I'll tell you as soon as I remember.

Can anyone help me please with my w/out problem suggesting to reinstall Windows?

    I use Windows 7 x 64 HomePremium SP1 on a
    AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core Processor 4200 + 2.42 GHz with
4.00 GB of RAM and 500 GB HARD drive (partitioned into 3 disks).

    Notice:
In order to delete the libraries I removed/edited these registry keys:
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\ {031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel]
    "{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}" = -.

I found a solution by myself.
If you have the same problem I had (really the same with above registry keys), just download this file: https://www.mediafire.com/?s4bt0447gk426r6 inside you will find 3 .reg files:
-to restore the registry keys and resolving the problem of search in the menu start
-through libraries in the start menu folders 'normal '.
-to cancel the passage of libraries in normal files.

To have no problem trying to merge "undo_rem_libs.reg", first give yourself permissions (full control!) of the HKCR\CLSID\ {031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5} key by right-clicking on it > permissions... > advance > owner (tab) > click on your username > OK > again once, click your user name (this time in the 'group or user names') > check 'Allow' in the full control row > OK.
That's all! Now you can merge the .reg for restoring above file (see problem) removed key strings with the just installed new Windows 7 original data.

The other .reg files in the archive must be explicit.

    / Edit:
NOTICE: this works on all versions 32 and 64 bit of Windows 7 (not tested on Windows 7 Starter).

  • The Windows 7 Start Menu search / indexing nothing works! Tried everything!

OK Ive spent countless hours of research on this question, ive tried many "bugs" that did not work at all. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit Edition and here is my problem:

The search for the Start Menu in windows 7 does not show ANYTHING when I type something to search for. No category, no file, no folder, nothing. The only thing that appears is "See more results" at the bottom and everything else is empty. When I click on "See more results" I get an error saying that windows cannot find the search query

    WHAT IVE TRIED:

Ive tried to rebuild the index - always says 0 indexed items and NEVER changes, Ive tried to manually change the location of the index, same result

Ive tried deleted manually the former location of the index, stop the search function, from the search function (both in the options and in regedit), restart the computer and still nothing.

Ive tried Backing removed all find Regkeys, stop manually search in the command prompt, location of the Delete index into the command prompt, restart the search function in the command prompt.

Ive tried to do an in Place Upgrade / repair installation of Windows 7 but he's always said his failure and returned to my current installation of WIN7

Ive double checked to ensure that all my regkeys have the correct values and I have all the correct regkeys

After all that, nothing WORKS STILL! -Yes research is Active, yes the file indexing and drive is chosen correctly, and yes the Search Options for files and folders ARE set up.

Ive seen 3 other emails of Micrsoft argue that users have posted, some people say it arranges, it does NOTHING for me. I always have this problem.

Please, please help me with this, if anyone can help me, you have no idea how much I appreciate it!

I don't know what caused it, but this problem fixed the original problem and you describe for me:

  • Start menu search not shown any results

I double clicked on something at the top of my browser and then my address and search bars Google disappeared and I have no idea how to do to get back them and it comes to my computer at school and I really need those back bars!

If you right click on a zone empty of the tab bar (or the button '+' on the tab bar), you should be able turn on individual bars to the list. Does it work?

    Hello

Did you the latest changes on your system prior to this problem?

Method 1: You try to run Microsoft Safety Scanner mode safe mode with networking and see if it helps.

Step 1: To restart in Mode safe mode with networking enabled:

    (a) reboot your computer.
    (b) when you see the logo of the manufacturer of the computer, press on and hold the F8 key.
    (c) on the screen Advanced Startup Options, use the arrow keys to Select Safe Mode with networkand press ENTER.
    (d) log your computer with a user with the administrator of rights account.

Step 2: Now try to scan your computer for Microsoft Safety Scanner, it will help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Warning: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
