  I have to admit being stuck on it - this is the problem

  I have all the e-mail accounts configured to keep messages on the server. I have download ok then read messages and delete everything that I'm not completely. Then, I find that I really would not have deleted some messages. I can tell WLM to re-download from the server, but they do not display. They are on the server that I can see with webmail and other computers.

  It's as if WLM remembered that he had downloaded the message once and so disobeys again.

  The only way to recover these messages is to go to your webmail Inbox and send them to yourself.

  It is not a good practice to let mail accumulate in your webmail box.  If you ever reinstall WLM/or your system, you will have all the 22000 (or whatever the number) downloaded.

  I advise my clients to save things for a long time, then delete or move to the specific folder, but have remove it from the server downloaded e-mail after 30 days.

  There is no general problem going to EL Capitan on your Mac.

  Some applications may require updating.

  Some devices like printer may require the updated drivers. For some readers of devices not being updated are available.

  I had the same problem.  But finally found a solution.  If your listing is similar to mine, then keep.  XP Media Center Edition 2005 (sp2).  AMD Athlon 64 x 2 Dual-Core, HP a1630n desktop computer.

  Go to the HP website, search for sp37394-XP sp3 Upgrade utility Microsoft for systems equipped with AMD processors.

  I had the same 0 x 80240036, 0x8024400a error, but realize my problem was really get manually downloaded sp3 and installed without continue loop crashing and not error messages.
