• Help - I am trying to create a playlist with Winamp

  Hey guys,.

  I'm having a nightmare of a time.  I just got my Sansa Clip and I'm creating playlists on it without WMP.  I already searched the forum, widely and looked here for the better part of 3 hours and finally I decided to just post a new thread since the 'old' do not seem to help much at all.

  I am running Windows XP sp2.  I'm trying to create the playlist in Winamp.  My video is in MSC mode.  After following the instructions, I finally found here, I could create a playlist * and * it worked.  There are two problems, I met at this stage.

  (1) after you create the playlist in Winamp, I have to unplug the Clip, then reconnect it before the playlist occurs.

  (2) after #1 above, there * 2 * identical entries in the 'Portable' of the Winamp Media Library list, each with the same media list and playlist list.

  (3) if I click on the playlist in Winamp, the entry is completely empty.

  There must be a simple way to create/edit a playlist on the clip.  But as I said, 3 hours later and I'm hardly closer to a practical solution.  Almost everything what I found in the forum and online are either old or only offer pieces of the puzzle together.

  Any help would be appreciated wildly.  Thanks in advance!

  1. Yes, it will not be displayed (on your drive) until you disconnect and updates the database.
  2. I never use the 'Portable' list Simply go to 'Preferences Library' Winamp > media > click the spyware Folders tab and the button "Add folder...". ». Access the letter of your Clip (E: for example) device. Click on the button "scan now". Now he 'sees' your Clip in the library, not the hard drive of your computer.   You can see the disk manager in Control Panel.  If there is a hidden D: drive, it will display here.  My guess is the drive letter is not assigned or assigned to the next letter somewhere down the line. If there is no D: drive you can assign the D: drive in there.   You can change the drive letters in there also.  give it a try.

  I followed all the steps in the guide without problem.  Windows Explorer shows the drive is NTFS.  I can copy all other files of ISO on the FlashDrive without problem.  Only, I can't copy this file.  I tried to copy it to my hard drive rather than on the flash drive, and it still does not work.

  I tried to create a file with the same name by using Notepad to see if there was a problem with the file name.  I can copy this file on my hard drive flash drive, but I can't always copy the ISO file.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 edition and using a Corsair Flash Voyager 16 GB flash drive.
