Help with Elements 8 color management

Hi people,

I just downloaded the trial version for 8 items... It's all well so far, until I start printing. I need to install epson paper color profiles in the profile of printer selection menu. How can I do this?

My print job flow is > print > more options > color management > "select" elements Photoshop manages color > 'select' printer profile (this is where I need to add color for epson paper profiles) > rendering intent...

Thanks a lot for any help on this problem... I hope there is a solution...

Chris

  • What's up with the bridge color management?

    After obtaining a range wide screen (Eizo S2243W), it was a pleasure to be able to see the Adobe RGB colors that I knew were in the file, but previously could not be displayed. Although the Windows desktop and interface elements user sounds loud, I got used to that.

    ID, PS, AI, everything works perfectly. But I discovered that the bridge does not follow suit. The funny is that it shows the mute, standard version for 'gamut' - saturated not as one would expect with a range wide screen and non-functional color management (if this is the case). The only reasonable explanation for what I see is that the document profile is converted to sRGB. I can't reproduce otherwise.

    I'm no stranger to the color of help desk management, and according to my experience, the prime suspect in this case is still the monitor profile. So I've done several things to validate the profile. I recalibrated using the calibrator Eizo grouped with its EX1 (actually just a renamed Spyder3) sensor, and I recalibrated using color eyes Display Pro with another probe Spyder3. I also tried with Adobe RGB as the monitor profile just for troubleshooting.

    In all cases, I checked in the color settings PS that the profile has been actually used, and in any case, the effect of muting still shows in Bridge. Now, I am sure that PS/ID/HAVE rendering is indeed good. Suite color management is synchronized, using Adobe RGB as RGB working space.

    I have also purged caches of bridge in every way I can think and then reset the preferences of Bridge by ctrl-launch and control of the confirmation dialog box.

    The screenshots of the following two require a color managed browser and a range wide screen, since the difference is outside the sRGB gamut. The first used Adobe RGB as a monitor profile and a Adobe Integrated RGB, the second has the Eizo monitor profile assigned and integrated. They are similar, but the other should show exactly as I see it (click to view the display not set cache, the difference does not directly show in Firefox):

    test adobeRGB.jpg

    test monitor RGB.jpg

    Any ideas what is happening here?

    (Also published in the forum for color management)

    Sorry, that was a little short.

    Bridge poster of the images based on the pre-rendered JPEG files that it stores in its memory cache. It's thumbnails, larger and sometimes 100% previews previews. When creating these JPEG files, it uses made color Relative to the color space sRGB. However, it is usually * displays them correctly, based on the primary poster color profile.

  • How to print with no. COLOR MANAGEMENT in Photoshop CS6

    Hello

    I tried to print an i1Profiler target so I can read with my i1Pro and create a profile of the printer, but no matter what I do, there is no way to get photoshop to provide a profile when printing. I tried to select printer handles color and then put the printer driver in the MANAGEMENT of OFF COLOR (seemed to me this would disable both the printer color management and color management photosbop). Tried to print this way (and many other ways) but NO SOLUTION - the impressions are VERY different from the on-screen display (which is in a correctly profiled Apple monitor) and they did resemble those with a selected profile.

    I also tried the Adobe Color Printer Utility Utility and same results!

    I use an EPSON Stylus Pro 7900 I just bought.

    Help, please

    The key here is to really actually go ahead and print the target of i1Profiler to your printer... in the graphical Test Panel, create the staff and click on print instead of Save as. As long as you have the size of the page defined in the layout, you should get a target Specifies printer to read. According to the patches how you have defined, this may take a few pages, but they will be correctly formatted for playback with the i1Pro...

  • Help diagnosing problem of color management - windows 7, CS3, Eye - one display 2

    Hello

    I had my color management, all set up and working on my old laptop and then stupidly, I got a new laptop and am completely default get things straight.

    The new laptop (Asus N56VM with Nvidia GT 630 M) is running Windows 7... I calibrated the screen using my Pantone eye - one display-two (X-Rite) and right now, it's much better to the eye. I calibrate native white point which I always do with laptops.

    I used the following procedure to load the profile at the start of Windows 7 and removed the GretagMacbeth tool that tries to do the same thing:

    http://www.laszlopusztai.NET/2009/08/23/stop-losing-display-calibration-with-Windows-7/

    Everything looks great except when I try to use anything with color management.

    For example. Pictures of my old was gorgeous in Adobe Bridge, until I enabled through its settings color management and all of a sudden they have terrible air - sky blues turn turquoise.

    If I open a file labeled sRGB in photoshop it looks the same - terrible (to help keep an embedded profile and with a workspace Adobe 1998 color settings)

    Only way I can get images of normal appearance in Photoshop is open then ASSIGN the monitor profile to the image (I know that it is meaningless to do so and is in no way a work around)... and it looks great.

    Something isn't right somewhere, but don't know where to start looking because there are so many variables. Can anyone suggest a route to investigate based on what I have said so far?  It's driving me crazy!

    I took a quick glance to your profile...  I don't have that much experience analyzing devices of the user profiles, but it seems a little odd for me, compared to others that I watched.  Maybe Chris Cox can comment as I know he has a few more sophisticated profile analysis tools.

    Examples: Look where the dye red, green and blue tags fall:

    I think that this profile, for some reason, was created correctly or with essentially false information.  I don't know why that would be.

  • Please help with the correct color settings

    I use ID CC depending on which we, my printers want my final PDF either as PDF/x-1a (I know it does with regard to Flattening) or PDF/x-4.

    I need all color images for close to CMYK, no matter what they were when placed. I need all 100 %K black to stay like this and not to convert an intense black.

    Currently, my document color settings are:

    Parameters: general use of 2 North America

    Workspaces:

    RGB: sRGB IE61966 - 2.1

    CMYK U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2

    Color management policies:

    RGB: Preserve embedded profiles

    CMYK: Preserve numbers (ignore linked profiles)

    Conversion options:

    Engine: Adobe (ACE)

    Intent: Relative Colorimetry

    I use the default settings for PDF/x-1's or PDF/x-4 (most have the ink Manager to convert all tasks to deal with) and and always receive a yellow warning with the following in general warning triangle:

    The preset specifies source profiles that do not match the current color settings file. Profiles specified by the color settings file will be used.

    What should I check in my document color settings to avoid this error message (the resulting files do appear to be OK for what I need, I want to just make sure that I put it just in case this error). Of course, other thoughts are always appreciated also.

    What should my document color settings also if the final document will be black and white (in grayscale) and contains only data on the black plate?

    Sorry to contradict the Peter a bit here, but X - 4 allows to RGB, rather than to specify it, so you can have your PDF by setting 'Convert to Destination (preserve numbers)' with an appropriate destination CMYK profile and still conform to the standard X-4.

    That's what I'm doing here, because I prefer the Adobe CMM performs the conversion.

  • Help with unexpected photo color changes when loading

    Recently edited portrait high key, when I compared the RAW CR2 file in flt along the side of the photos

    The thing is that I did no changes.  I just open the raw file, then click Open edit thought go in ele.

    Once it opens as a psd, the colors have changed.

    Camera is set to Adobe RGB.  ELE set to manage colors for printing.

    Is this normal, or something I'm doing or not doing.

    Suggestions and recommendations requested.

    Txz.

    I understand that you compare side by side on-screen:

    -l'image in the ACR dialog, without any changes

    -l' new image observed after opening in the editor and saved as psd and reopened in order to be able to compare side by side.

    I agree that you should not see any significant color change.

    Notes about your settings:

    -Camera set to Adobe RGB: good for parameter ignored with raw files, JPEG files (PSE, the choice between sRGB or aRGB ACR depends on the second parameter in the Editor: always optimize for printing). Are not relevant to your problem.

    -Always optimize for printing: refers to the raw data will be converted to aRGB for printing and shown according to your screen. This is the right setting, if you want to print in ARGB.

    So, there's nothing wrong with your settings.

    I can't help much in this situation, but it might be useful you have described the color differences s two views. For better visibility compare colors, beware of the surrounding parts of images: If you're on a light background (ACR) and the other in a dark (editor), you see exactly the same colors.

  • Help with element position fixed on the screen, with a difference to follow!

    Hi guys

    While I don't have any examples online, it will be easier for you and I want to help explain my layout.

    I have a single page site, with 4 sections vertically. Each section is a div to 100% width and a height of 1200px to fill screen of the user, and obviously, this div contains a lot of divs for content.

    Now in a section, I want my navigation bar to ADOPT the screen as it scrolls down but does not scroll in the section located below or above it. So I put the item Nav to have this CSS code:

    .hostingBackgroundWrap .nav {}

    Width: 150px;

    height: 100px;

    float: left;

    position: fixed;

    left: 0px;

    background-image: url(images/td_bg3.png)

    It works ALMOST well. It follows the screen down, he won't go in the section below when I scroll down... but it spread in the previous sections if I scroll to the top of the screen.

    Here is the CSS code for the .hostingBackgroundWrap just in case it is necessary, which is be more or less the same coding for each of the sections above and below.

    {.hostingBackgroundWrap}

    height: 1200px;

    Width: 100%;

    background-repeat: repeat;

    border-top-width: 0px;

    border-right-width: 0px;

    border-bottom-width: thick;

    border-left-width: 0px;

    border-bottom-style: solid;

    border-bottom-color: #30312F;

    background-image: url(images/bg_hosting.jpg);

    position: relative;

    Thank you!

  • Need help with background body color

    Hello world

    I am a completely new Dreamweaver user and have not created a site for years. Last program that I used was the first Page!

    I'm messing with Dreamweaver CS5 and try to create a Web site for my work.

    Here's a problem I have.

    Is it possible to have the background color of your body to be 2 different colors? My site design starts with a 3 bars + header/footer. I have my head looking the way I want to, and now I am trying to get my background color for the body to be right. I speak not of 'body' is the one that surrounds the header/footer page, column, content, left column.

    Right now it's a solid color that I adjusted using the page properties.

    Is it possible to have a color starting at the top of the page and end at the back of my head, and then have the rest of the body (under the header) be a completely different color?

    If so, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    You certainly need to examine your HTML and CSS, then, as DW will be expected to bring you knowledge both at the table.  PS didn't feel it's valid HTML or coding standards.  It is diametrically opposed to the current version of DW!

    Is it possible to have a color starting at the top of the page and end at the back of my head, and then have the rest of the body (under the header) be a completely different color?

    Give the body of the page a single color as its background color.  Make the color of the region under the heading.  Then use a graphic rectangle unique color that is as big as your head and you set as background image for the page, having only horizontal place with this CSS.

    Body {background - image: url (path_to_your_image.gif); background-repeat: repeat-x ;}}

  • Newbie needs help with default link colors

    I've seen too many times active in the movement, episodes 4 & 5 (Adobe TV - Tom Howard) count. Here's my problem:

    My footer links are not white - I carefully labeled them that way. To override the violet I'm loaded and never asked (should be the default color), I went into the preferences page and changed the active status of white - but always the purple text appears. I went in CSS coding and made sure all the code is correct, and it seems that it is. Here are my codes "four copy / paste" as stated in the tutorial in my CSS file:

    {a.footernav:Link}
    do-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, Verdana, without serif.
    do-size: 9px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    {a.footernav: active}
    do-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, Verdana, without serif.
    do-size: 9px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    {a.footernav:visted}
    do-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, Verdana, without serif.
    do-size: 9px;
    color: #FFFFFF;
    }

    {a.footernav:hover}
    do-family: 'Trebuchet MS', Tahoma, Verdana, without serif.
    do-size: 9px;
    color: #FFFF00;
    }

    Links miscolored on another site:
    I have another site where I really don't like the substitutions on the color of the text, but I can't get a handle on why he won't let me to choose my colors for different pages. For example, in some regions, the blue color for the pages 'visit' is fine, with the exception of a blue navigation bar - the text disappears in the navigation bar. Then... I can say that it is a consistent struggle I am now my second site.

    If someone could help me, I would really appreciate it. I am fairly new to all this and have been able to understand many things. This, however, is really a thorn in my side.

    Thanks in advance for any help

    Hello

    0.0.0.0 means the printer disconnected from the network...

    Any change of the IP address will not apply as long as the printer is disconnected.

    First of all, try to restart the printer so the router and check any change.

    Try to plug the ethernet cable into another port on your router, then check any chamge (most probably you will see 4 ports listed as 1-4).

    If there is no change yet, try to replace the ethernet cable and check any change.

    If there is still no change, try to plug the etehrnet directly from the printer to one of your PC - if the printer will connect in this way, it means that there is something wrong with your router.

    If the same by both direct connection, this means that the printer ethernet card is defective and you need to service the printer.

    Printing which forms an angle seems ok, but one that is horizontally seems faded, incomplete.

    I was wondering if I saved a layer somewhere and set it as a default value.

    If you group the layers, you will be left with a single layer, thus spreading your concern.

    Suggest that you do the following:

    1. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printers
    2. Reset the default preferences.

  • Need help with LR color management

    Hi, well having had about to master the basics of the LR (point 6.1.1) I am happy that I can now treat my image editing, using a combination of Photoshop/plug-ins LR and LR.

    But I'm not about printing. I installed my new Asus monitor today and after a few hours, that it is fixed; If I take a picture of LR and select "Edit with PSE13" and print from PSE the printed output matches against what I see in LR just about perfectly.

    But if I try to print the image live LR is a mess; black out as a blue greenish, or who are green, bluish, and the whole image seems, well just psychedelic.

    I spent hours on it and as far as I can see the print settings in LR and PES look exactly the same. One thing to add; I print on HP Advanced glossy. In LR so I select that paper it will come out a mess, but if I select plain paper it out OK.

    I installed a .icm for Asus monitor file and I put the sRGB mode.

    In LR, I defined as «managed by the printer» color management

    With the HP printer, well it's not quite like the old days, it seems more automated. Under color management, I chose "ColorSmart/sRGB" which is recommended in the manual.

    Windows color management, I chose Asus PA248.icm for the color profile and sRGB Color Space Profile.icm (sRGB IEC 61966 - 2.1) for the printer.

    Anyone has any ideas on what I might be missing / doing wrong?

    Well, I seem to have gotten almost there now. In EPS, I had always managed by the printer color management. The answer in LR seems LR6 handle color management. I now have a good impression. The color match isn't quite right, with the colors on the impression of being a little more clear/more deep, but I'm sure that if I play with sliders to print setting I will get there. Although once I get the Epson printer with its profiles of specific documents, it may very well be right anyway.
