• Help with drop down menu of Horiz Sprite

  Working with a horizontal menu, I try to add a drop-down list (just hover) the button 'services '.  Crossed many turotials, but I am not able to find something that deals specifically with my situation.  As you can see when you visit the link below, my positioning is messed up.

  I added the list nested in the html (line 40), but I am struggling with positioning in my (line 167) CSS and scripts.  I copied and pasted the simple jquery script to Chris Coyier, http://css-tricks.com/simple-jquery-dropdowns/ , but do not know how to use it (other than the link from the html)

  Hi Julie

  You view all the items on the page as background images and the header image is overlapping your menu, I recommend to use the texts and images placed on the page, if possible.

• Problem of formatting in the content with the horizontal menu widget area

  I use a regular horizontal menu widget with several different taps within an empty page.  I lived as if the content field under the first tap, for example, is 300 pixels long, all other fields of content under other taps will inherit the same height.  Because I have different amounts of text in various taps, I need to be able to REDUCE the height of the text field. But it won't let me.

  Please select size spacing: uniform point in the menu dropdown.

  

  It does not resize the tabs separately, but it might serve your purpose (spacing problems).

• Need help with small DVD menu highlighting issue

  This should be brief, and I might have thought this out already is no so many variables and combinations of the completion of the steps in the correct order.

  I mostly followed this tutorial for easter eggs: http://TV.Adobe.com/watch/digital-video-CS5/Encore-menus/

  The part that I am focused on is between the time timeline 04:30 - ~ 06:00 dealing with duplication of group and the modification of existing elements to create an additional hidden button for the highlight of the Easter egg. My problem is that my three videos are static on the main menu and not text.

  So I do this wrong, but I have direct link to the PS to copy the group, but I need to add a text layer in the copied folder to make the button invisible. My highlight for the videos above is just a large rectangle of 16:9, but I want to be a form of specific profile, the Easter egg. So almost exactly as he did in the video, I imported a file PSD with the shape I wanted... He says CTRL + select for windows, but who doesn't. (Keep in mind that I'm not really a Photoshop user, been using Fireworks for ever). OK, so I select the layer of the imported images, click the magic wand select his area, hide it from view, click the layer existing highlight, shade of colour the previous matches and he said "just to fill it. At this point, with the magic wand tool active on the form, I would like to fill, it doesn't let me fill.

  I select the wrong point? As I said, select the CTRL (means click?) does not work. Because it is such a guru, he uses a lot of keystrokes or shortcut keys that I'm not familiar with. I'm done with this nice menu to 99%, I just need to up the highlight of an Easter egg in the light and I'm probably done.

  OK nevermind. I thought about it somehow. I did hidden text touches an object dynamic and bound the two together in the area of layers. Both activating / deactivating the made button highlights and preview my menu showed that it works correctly. I just burn a final and it works very well. Sweet.

  -first level centred and horizontal menu items
  -the menu items of first level at the same distance as opposed to the same widths
  -on individual lines and second-level vertical menu items

• Need help with creating a menu transition

  Hello I made a lot of progress on a DVD project, I am working on creating a query menu system until now, I've run into a brick wall last night and it's driving me nuts so I hope someone can help me with a few brilliant Creator here, I'll try to keep this short and understandable because it can be a challenge to transmit Please note other things are happinging with this project , but I'll try to include only relevant information to keep this pointer:

  Basically I have a background image static with a picture on it for a DVD menu I have it animate in and now I'm facilitating a transition from the "main Menu" and "Menu scenes".

  I try to have the scan everywhere (simple) from right to left, picture how the Menu title above and not behind the image is supposed to be 'deleted' as the image sweeps and the menu will then continue to clear off the screen once the image stops; during which the title of "Scènes Menu" sweep on in the reverse fassion (opposite to the clear operation) on the same horizontal plane on the right to the left.

  I first tried to use a solid and the image of the parents and then animate offshore, but my background is not a solid color, there textures so I need to keep the same consistency with the background.

  I was able to create a new comp and use the null with a solid object to allow mobile coverage on top, but I still have a solid color, how can I create a cover 'mousemat' mobile that will be selectrively cover your layers by displaying and hiding what I want.

  For this I'm trying to do a wipe in front of a screen to clear the title of annother and producing a new title using the menus time, same texture background.

  Thank you for the help I think that it is easy and I can be looking too much into it and overlooking the obvious but happens if I appreciate the clearity.

  Well they are the menus from en not just text in Ae but I see what your saying what I could do is put a new Basemap layer on and use a couple of masks that changed shape with the directional blur and added a wipe degraded; It seems to work pretty well for me.  Thank you very much for the help.

• Need help with problems of Menu Spry/SSI

  Let me say that this is the first time I tried to create a SSI. In this case, I am using a spry menu as a SSI, so I can easily update the links.

  I used http://foundationphp.com/tutorials/sprymenu/ssi.php as the point of jumping and even managed to create a base to http://avios.org/sandbox/. I was happy, and it seemed simple enough (Incidentally, there is a photo of penguins on the test page). However, when I tried to impliment the same type of menu system in a part of the Web site (in a sandbox area), everything I came with was ' [year error occurred while processing this directive]. " I can't understand what the problem is. The sandbox site is (please don't mind how messy the code of the actual page, it was made before that I really knew nothing about CSS): http://avios.org/sandbox/australia/

• Help with my mobile menu bar on my Web page

  First of all, I'm been completely new to Web design and have no idea of what I'm doing then you will probably see post me a lot in the next weeks. Im trying to create a wepbage for our youthministry to church. The Web page is www.ccifuel.com. My first question is on the menu of navigation on this subject. He seems to be moving from one place to another when the web browser is growing and I would like to keep it in a fixed position on the image. How do I do that? My last question is what im trying to creat a form to collect email addresses to launch a newsletter in the box titled "join our mailing list!" but when I try to enter in a spry validation text field, he says, "you can't insert this widget into an editable... "and so on. Any idea how do that area locked so I can insert a form here or would there be a better way to do this? Thanks for all the help in advance!

  Your navigation menu is just what you told it to: absolutely position the div containing (outerWrapper).

  If you want to just above the image, I suggest pulling back inside the content div, position it relatively (remove the absolute), give it a top margin to match your 'top' and make it float to the right, like this:

  Note that I moved to the closing tag on the "header" from the navigation div. This keeps the contained value.

  This arrangement won't allow anything that exceeds the nav div, but you can put the material on the left NAV. And you can always place a background image in the header if you want something that crosses all the way that div.

  You could also play with your position absolute div as long as you place it inside another div... it will be absolutely positioned div container, always. But the AP elements are delicate, and I prefer to put in place a system of div tags that depend on each other in relative positioning.

  Although I normally use tables, I read that it is better to use < ul > and < li > my site horizontal navigation bar.

  I have problems with spacing, I want each item in the navigation bar to fit in one area of 166 width.

• Help with the Spry menu and templates

  Hello. I'm still learning Dreamweaver and stumbling through this all on my own. I just discovered models today and I'm hoping to use them to update my menu2 spry navigation bar. Except that it does not work for me. Is it because you just can't do that with spry? The menu does not update correctly when a new file with the model is stored in subfolders.

  I have the site set up with everything in the folder under the root except for the home page index.html file.

  so it's like this example:

  When I go to new-page open-model the temaplte and save it in the folder... links from the template do not update correctly.

  No not really... list of default file name? I mean if I type in http://websitename.com/about/ it will go get the index.html file in this folder.

  I examined the response to a similar post and reviewed the settings as shown in the picture. My problem is that I want this a menu item to display pages vertically and not fall down and display on the right. I tried all means to set the preferences on the menu I can think and she won't do not impact on the menu as a whole. This includes unchecking the checkbox that allows individual changes.   Hello, I have a horizontal menu on a site I am building.  I have several pages and they have child pages.  When I ride the child page tabs appear, but if there is more than one page of the child, they are next to each other, horizontal also.

  How keep the horizontal main navigation bar and have child pages to go vertically?  I hope that makes sense to someone lol.

  I am trying to create a horizontal menu with a submenu horizontally directly underneath.  Thus, when you hover over the items in the top menu, the list of subitems appears as a horizontal menu directly below the top menu.  I was able to change the widget spry Panel tabs to do for the most part, but there must be a better way. It seems that the widget menu spry for the horizontal menu has just a drop of water to the bottom of the sub-elements in a vertical list below the top menu item.   I searched but not found the answer.  Could someone please help me with suggestions?  Thank you.

• Help me with Encore CS6 Menu and buttons

  Hi, I need help with CS6 menu again.  I have a video first CSs 6 which is 3 hours and 21 chapters long.  It looks like I can get 18 buttons to work.  I also want to put in place an exit button.  Is there a limit of 18 a menu button?  Must I watch using the index menu or playlists?

  Yes, for a 16:9 (widescreen) DVD menu, there's a buttons 18 maximum.

  I assume by "index menu", you are referring to the use of the callback function to create multiple menus for reading the chapter. It is a simple as long as you want to keep the film from the chapter selected towards the end of the film (hollywood style).

  If you want the chapter to return to a menu after the game, you cannot use the function index and chapter playlists are a good method for unique reading of the chapters.
