• Need help with small DVD menu highlighting issue

  This should be brief, and I might have thought this out already is no so many variables and combinations of the completion of the steps in the correct order.

  The part that I am focused on is between the time timeline 04:30 - ~ 06:00 dealing with duplication of group and the modification of existing elements to create an additional hidden button for the highlight of the Easter egg. My highlight for the videos above is just a large rectangle of 16:9, but I want to be a form of specific profile, the Easter egg. (Keep in mind that I'm not really a Photoshop user, been using Fireworks for ever).   OK nevermind. I thought about it somehow. I did hidden text touches an object dynamic and bound the two together in the area of layers. Both activating / deactivating the made button highlights and preview my menu showed that it works correctly. I just burn a final and it works very well. Sweet.

  I scanned the forums and provided below to help with feedback. At this point, the organizer of the elements is unusable for me - I'm looking for suggestions to help refine the installer to make it usable.

  MY SETUP

  • Just more than 50000 items in the catalog, about 95% of them are photos, videos of rest. 98% of the source files are on a drive to the server in my house, with a gigabit connection.
  • I left full recognition of faces (took two days!) and Yes, during that who was running the organizer was unusable.
  • My PC is an i7 - 4790 k with 16 GB of RAM. Windows Pro 10. Boot drive is SSD.

  THE SCENARIO

  I have a new series of images on my C drive local - images that I scanned, about 30 pictures. Using the view of the pane left records that I navigate to the folder on my C drive. If I move to the tab places it takes about 25 seconds to react and make enforcement appear the places page. If I then go to the people tab it takes about 75 seconds, for the application to respond. In both cases, the application is completely insensitive during the wait.

  Clearly, I can't clean my collection with this kind of response. So here are my questions:

  1. What are the key strategies to improve performance, given my configuration?
  2. Have I not too many objects in the catalog? Should I aim lower number? I saw that there is no actual limit but I feel Im beyond a theoretical limit of messages.
  3. Broken content is to catalog help with questions like this? Is there another internal setting, I should be updated or change?
  4. Given the number of images should I use Lightroom instead?

  The only change that I'm not going to do is to move all the content of my return to my local drive. Sound on the server so that it is completely backed up and protected. So I'm looking for ideas that help given this configuration.

  I can't offer a positive solution to your problem, but I hope to give you some answers or thoughts on this subject.

  Let's start with the description of your case: it's a perfect description of what has been reported in several positions:

  -powerful Installer (computer, SSD)

  -l' use of the recognition of people and/or geolocation

  -use of a NAS for the library.

  -Library of more than 50,000 points.

  -very long indexing, then extremely slow.

  I do not use a SSD (will probably later) or a NAS (I never do). I 65 000 objects and don't care about recognition of face or geolocation, which explains that with a basic setup on I3, 8 GB of RAM, I have an organizing extremely fast speed. Even on an old secondary computer with Vista, it is still quite manageable.

  Your choice is typical of advanced specialists and competent (I guess that less than 1% of the current user of items based). I have yet to see no answer (satisfactory or not...) Adobe staff.

  Given the number of images should I use Lightroom instead?

  I guess that's what Adobe could answer you... and that would be wise. You can use a trial version to make your choice and do a search on the forum for Lightroom. I have not seen similar, even if complaints with NASs, it seems to be a lot to say. Lightroom can convert your organizing catalogs (maybe some problems lately...)

  If the use of the network is primarily to ensure maximum security (for not sharing images), why not would you use the choice to store your library on your computer (internal or external disk) with a sync to your NAS as a backup solution? I can tell you that my workflow includes Windows Synctoy to record each session easily and quickly (catalogs and libraries).

  Splitting the catalog is usually a very bad solution, a number of post seems to show that with the recognition of the people/geotagging, the problems around the range of 50,000 points. You can make a copy of the catalog and remove half of the files to check the influence of numbers point; Maybe it's possible with version 14 (deletion is extremely slow, but worked for me, even if it failed with older versions).

  Other factors are using recognition Geotagging and people. Even if you absolutely need those features, disable to see their influence could help Adobe to solve performance issues.

  Hello I made a lot of progress on a DVD project, I am working on creating a query menu system until now, I've run into a brick wall last night and it's driving me nuts so I hope someone can help me with a few brilliant Creator here, I'll try to keep this short and understandable because it can be a challenge to transmit Please note other things are happinging with this project , but I'll try to include only relevant information to keep this pointer:

  Basically I have a background image static with a picture on it for a DVD menu I have it animate in and now I'm facilitating a transition from the "main Menu" and "Menu scenes".

  I try to have the scan everywhere (simple) from right to left, picture how the Menu title above and not behind the image is supposed to be 'deleted' as the image sweeps and the menu will then continue to clear off the screen once the image stops; during which the title of "Scènes Menu" sweep on in the reverse fassion (opposite to the clear operation) on the same horizontal plane on the right to the left.

  I first tried to use a solid and the image of the parents and then animate offshore, but my background is not a solid color, there textures so I need to keep the same consistency with the background.

  I was able to create a new comp and use the null with a solid object to allow mobile coverage on top, but I still have a solid color, how can I create a cover 'mousemat' mobile that will be selectrively cover your layers by displaying and hiding what I want.

  For this I'm trying to do a wipe in front of a screen to clear the title of annother and producing a new title using the menus time, same texture background.

  Thank you for the help I think that it is easy and I can be looking too much into it and overlooking the obvious but happens if I appreciate the clearity.

  Well they are the menus from en not just text in Ae but I see what your saying what I could do is put a new Basemap layer on and use a couple of masks that changed shape with the directional blur and added a wipe degraded; It seems to work pretty well for me.  Thank you very much for the help.

• Need help with problems upgrade memory on Pavilion DM4

  I have a Pavilion DM4 1201us with original DDR3 2x2gb memory cards.

  I bought a pair of Corsair DDR3 1333 Mhz 4 GB memory cards.

  I have the latest BIOS (F.27) and I'm running the OEM Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit. SP1.

  The BIOS recognizes the 8 Gb and when I run the BIOS memory test it runs without error.

  When I try to boot Win7, it gets somewhere before the logon screen and makes a BSOD with a message about a new memory being installed.

  I went back the Corsair Memory cards, but you need to know if there is a problem with any upgrade up to 8 GB of memory with my particular setup. HP offers an upgrade to 8 GB with the same spec boards. (I'm beyond the warranty period!)

  Any thoughtts?

  The reason why I ask is with memory DDR sometimes reticular sticks will pass all the tests if the two sticks are installed then a stick could be bad without you knowledge.

  Also you tried a bar of 4 GB and a 2 GB stick to see how it worked?

  Hello

  You get the error message indicates that the portal framework cannot find the method with the signature of method appropriate to your backup file. You have the correct name of the method, but the portal framework is not to find a method with the correct (in the right order) arguments when using reflection to examine your backup file.

  If you change the method signature to the order of the required arguments:

  void saysomething(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response, Event event)

• Need help with problems blue screen with drivers for IOGEAR GUWAVKIT

  I try to install the Iogear Wireless USB to VGA on a Windows 7 laptop.

  I downloaded the latest version of the software driver from the Iogear website.

  The Manager application loads fine, but when Windows 7 tries to install the driver for the USB host card, I get an error on blue screen windows and restart the computer.

  The physical hardware for the GUWAVKIT works very well on a laptop 32 bit Vista.

  Has anyone met and solved this problem?

  I see fuse errors when I'm putting the remote disk using vmware-mount utility. I know I'm missing something here (probably related to the fuse or lib path) but does not know what it is. Would appreciate any help.

  On Ubuntu, it may be still do better: sudo apt - get install libxml2

  Do you have MS Outlook installed on your computer?

  Windows mail import and export opportunities are limited to an Outlook .pst file or an Exchange Server mailbox. They are available only if MS Outlook is installed.
  If MS Outlook is not installed and you start an import or export action, the necessary support files are not present for Windows mail complete the operation. Then I suggest you to install Outlook temporarily and see if the problem is resolved.

  Follow the instructions below and check if the problem is resolved.

  1. reboot your computer, and then start Windows Mail.
  2. on the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. in the connection tab, click on edit to open the Internet Properties dialog box.
  4. in the tab programs, click on an application other than Windows mail e-mail in the e-mail list. Click on apply and then click OK.
  5. click OK again to close the Options dialog box.
  6. exit Windows mail and restart Windows mail.

  Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

   

   

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

  Download the Vista software from the link above.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
