    Hello

On the HARD drive there is not a recovery partition type of hidden and you should be able to use the full capacity of the HARD drive. The problem is that we do not know what you have done exactly.

Have you installed OS on already created partition or you have created a new using 50% of the capacity of the HARD drive?
Maybe now you create logical drive. Please check this in computer management > disk management. You can find it with a right click on computer > manage.

  • Dynadock U10 goes into sleep to help with Satellite Pro C650-139

We have several Toshiba in my work, we have 2 Toshiba Satellite Pro C650-139 with Toshiba Dynadock U10 (PA3575E-1PRP), and these moorings seem to go to sleep every now and then, sometimes, the screen freezes on the screen connected to the U10. Is there a solution? or just pass these stars?

    Hello

Have you noticed that using the Dynadock as part of another computer/laptop?
I asked this because it might be possible that your affected laptop connection settings between the laptop and Dynadock.

To my knowledge, you can set the Dynadock standby mode but in this case the Dynadock would unplug the computer.
In Dynadock options (in the task bar, click the Dynadock icon), you can find the Eject option and sleep. This disconnects the Dynadock and set it in standby mode.

I think you should check the Dynadock with different USB ports.
Deactivate the energy saving for the USB ports in your Win 7 power management settings.

In addition, you can update the graphic driver for Dyandock.
As far as I know, you can find the latest version of the driver here:

  • On the Satellite P30-131 power problem

I have a power problem and I tried the process of elimination, but could do with help, I gave as much detail as possible and appreciate any help or advice.

This started a few weeks ago and seems to be deteriorating slowly.
I turned on the laptop and all 3 lights before the main power on fully charged battery light and light green...

I started noticing a few times when my power cord is plugged into the laptop that, without warning, the laptop switches to the battery power and also turns off power light, battery light turns off too but which may or may not happen, in any case the laptop is still on but now running on battery.

I then out of the supply cable and reconnected it hoping that power is restored, but it has no effect, I have to close then low laptop unplug then Pug back in and I get all 3 lights and then I can start.
Now, when I boot it does not always solve the problem and I can finish on a few seconds of starting battery.

Its certainly not the battery because it has a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

The reason I think it is perhaps one of them is when the laptop going to battery, lead that is always plugged into laptop, I moved, and this can cause the return of t lights and also the laptop back in, power once again, but if I let go then it goes to the battery again one the light turns off. I also took the battery out and kicked and the laptop works but has lost the power sometimes when I moved it turned off my tour so I'm sure that it is related to the lead, but do not know if its internal or external.

    Any help or advice appreciated

    Thank you

What kind of help did you expect exactly?

    > Its certainly not the battery as it was a new battery replaced 12 months however, its either the adapter or the connection inside the laptop that plugs into the adapter.

It seems you have tested everything that could be tested using common control procedures, I think that more is not possible
I can provide also a few suggestions and I m coming to the conclusion that neither electronic power supply is not ok or your power adapter.
But I would tend to the first; electronic power supply.

As you can see that these are only suggestions

    Hello

Satellite L series isn't the best Toshiba laptop and I can't recommend it for someone who want to have the laptop for games and who needs a lot of performance.
Satellite L305 is mobile nice and I think that 12 years old child will be happy with it.
    Price is really OK.

In any case, before you buy it ask what objectives it wishes to use for laptop. If it focuses on games and play more recent games I don't think that it is not the best solution.

  • Display satellite P30 with Windows 2000 issues

I can't find a driver for Satellite P30 I'm running on Windows 2000. Windows 2000 is the only operating system, I am able to turn it on now. If someone was able to get a P30 works with Windows 2000? Help, please.

    Hello

This laptop model has been tested only with the Windows XP operating system and it is not supported with Windows 2000. Sorry, but you won't find any display driver for this device on the Toshiba site. The only way is to try to find a driver on the site of the producer graphic CAD.

I'm not sure but I think that your unit has "ATI MOBILITY RADEON 9700" graphics card.

  • Help please: error 0x0000007e Stop when starting up on top of Satellite P30 110

    Hello

I wonder if someone can please help me with a recurring error message I get randomly when starting up. I have a satellite P30-110, with WXP Home SP2 installed. Mobile P4 3.2Ghz processor, 512 RAM, ATI mobility Radeon 9600/9700 series.

Turns off the computer as usual last night. He walks this morning and think that it load the bios OK and then got the black background with Win XP, and then think about this error page came. Has a blue background with the following text:

"A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Make sure you have enough disk space. If a driver is identified in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video cards.

Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

    Technical information:

    "STOP: 0X0000007E (0XC0000005, 0X00000000, 0XF891D384, 0XF891D080).

I turned the computer off, then restarted when prompted chose to start windows normally, and it seems to start up fine.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

If this is the first time, you've seen this error, I'm not too concerned about it. There are not too many people who have not encountered this scenario occasionally.

The time to worry, if it happens regularly, as this may indicate a component defective that will need to be diagnosed later.

On this occasion, I suspect that the start process has detected an anomaly any (possibly a play on hard drive control) and rather than allow Windows to continue it stopped with the error on blue screen.

    Kind regards

  • Updated portable Satellite P30-144 with bluetooth

I know it's a stupid question, but what impact installing the bluetooth on my laptop battery has the current wireless configuration.

I'm already upset that I can't use my old Canon BJC-50 with the laptop because it didn't not a parallel port has no it infrared.

    Hello

Satellite P30 is fairly new and it is important that the unit is ready for the new communication standards. The unit has no Bluetooth onboard, but if the Bluetooth stack is pre-installed you just buy Bluetooth USB and you can use it immediately.

The newer units have generally no parallel port. I have two units and none of them have it. The new generation printers use USB connection.

  • Windows XP Home unable to start on Satellite P30

    Hello

    I use WinXP-H on a Satellite P30 (7 years).
The screen died earlier, so I have been using an external monitor, but it's a problem for another time.

A few days ago Windows has been updated. After all 4hours, it restarted itself - do not know if it has finished to day I was away from my office. Windows did not start, just hung on black screen boot WinXp.

I turned off with the power button, left for a while and tried to restart. The first, a few times I could access the screen "Safe Mode, last known good Config etc" with F8, but he only got to Windows once, where it froze.

At the start, only the F2 & F12 keys work now (for the blue BIOS screen and boot options). Tent to start HD causes not normal clicking noises then the "a disk error occurred. CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart message. " I tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk, but it seems that you wipe the files left on the hard disk, even if she managed to reinstall Windows.

I had saved most of my files, but there are some that I had not succeeded in yet, so I would try to keep them. Forums, it seems that there are several possible solutions:

    1. start from the restore disc Toshiba to format the HD and maybe recover some of the files later with file recovery software.
    2. get an installation of WinXP-H disc, which seems to have a recovery program.
    3. remove the HD and connect it to another computer to delete my files. I'm not experienced by removing computers, but would give it a go, if it was the best option.

    Soon, any advice appreciated.
    Al

In my opinion the easiest way to access the HARD disk is to connect it as external drive to the other PC.
Removing the disc HARD is not so complicated that you can do it alone. If you need help with him let us know.

What you need is the external IDE HDD case. You can buy it on ebay and it is cheap.

In the end I have to say that I think that the HARD drive is faulty, maybe only some sectors do not work and thereby Windows gets stuck on some steps.

I had this old Satellite it there a long time, in red. It is a very nice machine with its fabulous. :)

  • Re: Has Satellite R630-131 MXM slot?

    Hello.
Wanted to know more about mxm presence slot in model Satellite R630-131.

Generally Exchange or upgrade on Toshiba laptops graphic card is not possible. So I don t think that your model of laptop has an MXM slot.

What you can do is to contact the nearest service Toshiba and ask technicians. They have Maintenance manuals and graphic diagram of the motherboard so they can help you with this.
As much as I know this info is not available on the official pages of Toshiba.

  • Satellite P30 - screen got vertical stripes

    Hello!

    Two problems:

    1. my Satellite P30 becomes a little old (bought in 2005), I know, but it works really well - a few hiccups of course.
However, the lines of different colors appear vertically on the screen. It started with a single line of a few months ago and right there are now seven (10 at the most).
The odd bit is that they appear, disappear, and reappear - some more often than others.
I find it quite strange, and I wonder if the problem is the screen itself or if it is a motherboard / other hardware or a software problem.

    2. commissioning is slow lane. Suddenly, there is (before tha line problem described above) about four months something has changed in the startup routine.
Before, when the "Welcome" message was shown, the screen became blavk for a second, and office appeared with the bar of tasks and shortcuts emediately. As usual.
But some time back the time according to 'Welcome' to the desktop was OK, changed its jst a fww seconds to THREE minutes! I checked my pc for all known problems, but nothing! What is going on? The image of the desktop appears, and then three minutes before the taskbar and icons appear.

    Can someone help me?

Best regards, Lars of the Norway

    (1) what are the lines? If these are lines of pixels, and the lines are spaced randomly, its most likely a LCD issue.

    (2) download and run BootVis. This small utility from Microsoft saves driver delays and other things during the startup.
