• Need help to make my printer work with the new laptop.

  I just bought a laptop ACER Aspire V5-571. At the Windows experience index. Intel (R) core, 64-bit. My current project is gettting my 2005 Dell all-in - one 944 to work with my new laptop. I passed on the line and installed the recommended driver and used the printer to scan a document I then sent an email, but for some reason my computer any it will not print a page from an online account. Keeps saying needs of troubleshooting and I need to download the driver, which I did, a Vista 7 64-bit-compatible driver. How can I make this work? or what other driver or update do I need?

  It seems that Vista drivers are the latest Dell has provided.  I noticed that, they say, you have to install all the drivers for this device before installing the Vista (s).  I found the link depending on whether you should check out

  Some older printers have no Windows 7 drivers, but usually the work of those of Vista.  If they are not, you can use XP mode if you have the professional or Enterprise version of Windows 7 Ultimate.  If you have the Home Premium version, you can use him anytime upgrade to professional for $90.  Of course to buy a new printer is always an option too.

  As you probably know, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide drivers.  Many manufacturers have refused to provide any Windows 7 drivers for older devices.

• Constant BSOD with the new laptop computer

Those initial seemed to result from McAfee LiveSafe who settled on the laptop so I uninstalled this and these people arrested. However, since then he has been giving me an error called DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE he says is caused by ntoskrnl.exe. Blue screens seem to happen arbitrarily and not because of anything specific I'm doing on the laptop. It will almost always crash when it is in "standby", however, and a few times he broke down while I'm closing. I updated both drivers and BIOS, hoping that would solve the problem but neither helped. I thought that it could be a hardware problem but all the Dell diagnostics, I came back with nothing. I've been futzing with the thing for a while now trying to figure out what it is but I'm stumped.   Gah... I suspected that this software to be a problem, but I wanted to be sure before recommending removal. Sunbelt Firewall is originally NETBIOS conflicts, I see quite often. It is quite problematic software (IMO), so I would remove as soon as POSSIBLE.

  You can add the 6200 PCI if you wish.  It does not require an upgrade of the power supply however.  It will work fine on your PSU 250 watts.  I have the 6200 circulating in a Dell with a 250W unit just to get the higher resolutions than the integrated graphic card has been able to provide in support of a monitor.

  are recovery disks to reinstall vista with the original hardware installed if I understand you correctly know what records you need to know a set of manufacturer's recovery disks

  If it is pre-installed this is an oem license and does not change unless you did it in consultation with the manufacturer of models of motherboards and processors

  I try to activate the key feature and WiFi in my new HP 15 - ac043tu laptop.

  I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32 operating system.

  To activate the function key, I installed driver: HP System Event Utility - sp71716, but it doesn't seem to work.

  In Device Manager, network controller shows exclamation as shown below. I tried to install Broadcom and Realtek WLAN drivers, tried to turn on/off, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers referring to other positions, but that did not work.

  

  I also tried to install HP SoftPaq Download Manager, but it did not help. Tool does not show my product described.

  I went through a similar question posted by other members, but failed to get the solution. This question gave me hard times.

  I have a 22-inch HPL2208w monitor, which seems to play on my new laptop Dell upward. The laptop has only a HDMI port, so I connect the monitor's vga cable to the Dell via an adapter.

  The display shows for a few minutes and requires only the range (I guess resolution) be changed to 1680 x 1650. For some reason I can't change the setting of the laptop to that. When I do not change the resolution (only if the monitor is unique and not dual output) the warning message remains on the screen and the screen is not at its best (wise clarity).

  Series Dell Win 7 64 bit, but the monitor was working on my previous Dell with the same version of Windows (with a VGA connection).

• Pavilion dv6t-2000: replacing old HARD disk with the new SDS and loading the OS with 1 & 2 recovery discs fails

  I just successfully replace the SSD, exchanging an old 250 GB HDD with a new 250 GB HARD drive.

  I started with success, inserted the disc of recovery by the instructions on the screen. Disc 1 and rendered, it succeeded.  When you are prompted, load disc 2, which was also successful.  When asked, in charge of the "application and driver recovery CD" and continued.

  At this point the computer restarted several times, as he said it would be completion of installation of all elements.  Then he came with a message that says: the recovery attempt failed. Select one of the following buttons.
