  Hi experts,

  I'm under 2 problems with video player in my application:

  1. the backlight turns off automatically after 30 seconds by default during playback of a video file.

  2. impossible to adjust the volume, he always plays with the highest volume.

  -For the first problem, you will need to set the backlight to yourself in the code, something like:

  Be careful about the number of seconds that you pass to the enable(). They are tp limited 255 seconds even if you spend a lot. This means that if your video is longer than 255 seconds, you must call the activate more than once. I usually call it the timer as well as check the status

  -For volume control, the player does not meet the default control buttons. You need to implement it in your code.

• Windows 8 Pro: cannot play video files and Misic in WMC on Xbox 360 - can do with video player

  I've had problems with this for a few days now. Everything worked perfectly on Win 7 Ultimate.
  However, after an update to Win 8 Pro with the Media Center Pack, I can't Windows Media Center on my xbox 360 to play all files. All files (audio & video) are visible, but they refuse to play and generate errors such as:

  Video error
  Files needed to display video are not installed or do not work properly. Restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer

  None of the options above worked.

  A homegroup is set up, I'm on a private network, network discovery and file sharing & printer are on and I can see the Xbox and its Media Center Extender devices & Printers.

  Everything is shared. My 2 drives have been set to 'Share' for all records to the breast.

  I can play the files in WMC perfectly on my PC.

  What I've seen, this is the event logs to complain about digital rights management

  I don't think I'm doing something stupid... It seems that having a MediaContainer onstage prevents somehow the ContextMenu send a click event, someone else knows it? I created a very simple example below to illustrate the problem.   You stumbled upon a known issue of Flash Player and its impact on the event of shipping on the video object context menu.

  There are two possible solutions:

  1 Add a transparent sprite on top of the video and add event listeners.

  2 use something like a sprite "control bar" as a target for event listener context menu.

• Need help with Media Player (latest version)

  Well, I tore my first two CDs in Windows Media Player (11) and which went well. I have synced them (because I can't figure out how to do drag and drop) and which went well. So I started to rip CDs more and got as much as 4 when a message came and I deleted inadvertently. Then, it would show that I'm ripping, but have no songs OR album titles. • Need help with VMware Player to run!

  I've been using VMware Player 7.1 successfully for some time, but my drive hard host started making noise, so I installed a new SSD drive as drive C on the host computer.  My old hard drive installation was 8.1 for Windows 64-bit, but needed to be cleaned, so I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 64 bit on my new SSD for the host.  My guest OS (8.1 64-bit Windows) has been installed on drive E, then I'm not touching this player.  I then installed VMware Player 7.1 and all is well.  However, when I now run VMware Player 7.1 and try to open my (8.1 Windows 64-bit) guest OS, he says now that the Intel VT - x is disabled.  I've never touched the BIOS at all, but to check I went into the BIOS and Intel Virtualization is always on because it has been.  My system is a motherboard ASUS Sabertooth with an i7 processor and 16 GB of ram.

  So I rechecked everything in the BIOS and made sure the virtualization is enabled.  What else can I do to get VMware Player 7.1 running?  Help, please!

In any case, other messages in the forums, it seems like some antivirus/end point protection applications can cause these issues (see, for example, binary translation is incompatible with the long mode). You have already installed this application?

  I recently updated my system (PC, Windows 7, IE 11 update) and player shockwave had to be updated. Tried to do, but will not work. My system is 64 bit, but the IE 11 running is the 32-bit version.  Tried many ways to update, then I removed it and attempted to install new, but it still doesn't work. Help!

  BTW, it also messed with my Adobe Reader within certain programs, and I had to install a new one, which seemed to work very well.
