Help with wireless; 1 computer, 1 no

My wife's computer has ceased to connect to the internet through our wireless router this morning. When I ran the store and followed the recommended steps he returned with the answer "the connection between your access point, router or cable modem and the internet is broken." I know that is not the case because our other computer works very well through our wireless router. In any case, I just got fact try all the steps posted in Microsoft Answers for this problem (http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/window-networking-troubleshoot-error-the/c130ede9-757e-4224-9ae8-3cceb82eeb74?page=2) and it has not changed; My wife's computer is not connecting. Is there anyone out there that can help me understand this? We have both run Windows 7 on our computers, if that helps at all.

I had to run the removal of McAfee Development tool a few times before and it caused a problem with the license if the PC was not connected to the internet during the abduction.   • Need help with wireless for my x120e driver.

    This was the hardest thing ever. I've tried literally all the LAN and WAN wireless drivers under all 4 the x120e the driver options.     For a typical host system, we recommend that you have a 1 GHz or faster processor (2 GHz recommended) and 1 GB of RAM minimum (2 GB RAM) recommended. You need to have enough memory to run the host operating system, more memory required for each guest operating system and for applications on the host and the guest.

    I'm sorry to say this, but your laptop can't run VM player. I doubt that you can install VMware Player on it. Even if you manage to it won't be of any use. Is only useful if you have more than 4 GB of RAM to execute at least one or two reviews of the virtual computer.

    I hope that's not too much detail, but I would like that the sequence of events to be clear...

    I have a Dell desktop computer that's probably six or seven years now.  It did not come with a wireless card, so I bought a DLink router and combo card wireless, install both with the DLink software.  It works beautifully.

    Later, we through my rep AT & T DSL, I got a Motorola modem/router with wireless capabilities.  I had plugged directly on my computer Dell desktop and moved to a Dell laptop DLink wireless receiver.  No problems.

    The Dell laptop is dead and the DLink receiver has not been used for a long time.  Family of my daughter moved to our place, and I have connected his desktop computers and laptop to wireless internet, using the Windows Connection Wizard.  Still no problem.

    I got a new ASUS laptop, I also linked using the Windows Wizard.  STILL no problem.

    Now, here's the problem comes.  I moved the Dell desktop computer, connected the DLink wireless receiver to it and I am able to get wireless access ONLY when I go into the properties of PC, click the wireless networks tab and check the "use Windows to configure my wireless network" box.  Then I can connect correctly, but I don't see this computer on my wireless network.  Bad luck... because I want to be able to access share files.  When I try to connect using different assistants of Windows, I get a message to the effect that, if I used another software to connect to the program, I can't use the Windows Wizard.

    So, what can I do to remove the original configuration of DLink completely and to connect to my wireless network using the wizards in Windows?  I uninstalled the software of DLink, but it seems to have no effect at all.

    BTW, Dell desktop computer is running XP, office computer of my daughter is running VISTA, and two laptops are equipped with Windows 7.  I can see all the computers on the network with the exception of the original Dell desktop computer wireless.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • I can no longer connect to the internet with my main computer. Help! Going on 3 weeks now.

    Everyone is so great on this site I hope you can help.  Here goes:

    I have 4 computers on my home wireless network.  Two laptops (Windows 7 and Mac OS 10) with wireless cards internal computers and two PC (Windows XP) with Linksys wireless adapters.  I use an Apple Airport Extreme (model A1254) wireless access point.

    Three weeks ago, when Comcast Cable went all digital (I have my internet through them as well), I immediately lost internet access and wireless on all computers, printers and phones VOIP communication.

    Because I was getting an IP address of 169.xxx.x.x on my main computer, I was ordered to replace my modem with a 1000BaseT model, replaced all with Cat6 ethernet cables and network card on my main PC with a D - Link 10/100/1000 Mbit / s.   Still no internet.

    The Apple guy couldn't figure our why I could not connect then we changed my DNS to a public one and all computers, except my computer main, immediately connected server.  They are now set to obtain automatically and they are always connected.

    When guys Apple plugged my ethernet cable from my main computer at the Airport Extreme, it wouldn't connect and I got a 169 IP address and no address of DNS server.  When they connected my ethernet from my Airport to other laptops working, they connected without problem and receive an IP address valid addresses.

    They believe that some how the Comcast transition might have changed something with my internet on my PC using Windows XP SP3 since my settings and network settings had been basically the same for 2 years.  I have McAfee and Windows Firewall that I turn off when I try to connect.

    When I look under connectivity in Information systems, I have 0.0.0.0 to my IP address, dns servers, and the subnet mask

    Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

    All thanks for the reply.  I am happy to say that my internet is working now.  After many hours of call Comcast Cable, they sent finally someone who seeks not to "return the ball."  There was nothing wrong with some of my equipment.  A squirrel had climbed and chewed part of the cable.  So it was not much speed going through it, the line was good enough to carry pet food.  But with the upgrade, the damaged cable could not manage.  I had no problem since the cable has been replaced.

    I have a desktop wireless 800, recently, the keyboard is showing strange behavior as follows;
    1. the left arrow button weighs almost all the time, especially when you try to select text (for example, in word) using Ctrl + Shift + arrow to the left.
    2. the green control led lights when the keyboard is touched against the work surface or slightly harder than usual key and the keyboard stops responding for a few seconds until the light turns off.

    Seriously, I would not have taken the trouble you with this kind of a questions unless it is very annoying because all my work is related to Microsoft word and excel, and I really wanted the entire web for a sufficient answer, but in vain.
