  I had trouble with these updates to install... the above is 4 of 5 failures:

  I have files cleaning, registry clean up and tried manually download the 5th of the 5 failures of Microsoft office was updated for service pack 1 all went fine til one message said I had already had this update.  Still, it appears in the window to update for important updates.

Until the recent update (v4.1.01) each time I started a new tab the new page would show the google search entry line which is my default. Can help you to restore this feature? TKS

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

  I have five or if email address. Before the recent update to Thunderbird they were all included in my Inbox as well as individually. Since the update, a day or two before, the Inbox includes only the first on the list and any other email illuminate their individual addresses. I would like to return to an all-inclusive Inbox for incoming emails.

I found another calendar... though not nearly as good calendar a calendar as the Thunderbird. I'm quite giving up Thunderbird & "make" w / the new calendar. Thanks again for trying to help me. MBT

  I order them basically I use them, but since the last update, they automatically go in alphabetical order. That's a little bit annoying.

  Is this a bug or something that has recently been put in place and will not be changed?

  Also, Yes, when I noticed first, I removed the 'old' search engines and that it replaced, just in case this still does not work. I reorganize and when I restart firefox, they are back to alphabetical.

  If a value has surrounding quotes, it is considered to be a string value.

  I have another type of problem with Firefox

  Description

  Window "Ready to Install" Firefox "Software Update" appeared. The folder "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates\0" contained the files update.mar, update.status and update.version. Each of the 3 files have been deleted. The next time that Firefox has been started, no update occurred because update files were missing. In the Menu bar, clicking Help showed in the menu drop-down that "apply downloaded update now" was always on the list. By clicking on "Apply downloaded update now" open "Software Update" window "Ready to install update", so that Firefox still considers that the update files exist, but they do not. In the window "Software Update", by clicking on "Restart Firefox" restart of Firefox, but once again it there's no update, and remains "apply downloaded update now" on the Help menu. How can "Apply downloaded update now" be replaced by "Check for Updates" so the update files can be downloaded?

  You can manually reset the software update feature by closing Firefox and remove the file "updates" (which seems you have done) and the two files "active - update.xml" and "updates.xml" - these are in the installation (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox) directory or in the profile folder (C:\Documents and Settings\nom_utilisateur\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\something.default).

  -Also try DFU mode recovery mode post-test

  After the recent update (security 2015-006, Mac OS 10.10.5, Yosemite), I can longer open all files in Microsoft Excel or Word.
