Helps to create a financial report with Studio of Reporting.

IM new to the Financial Reporting Studio so my question is maybe something very simple, for beginners.
Im trying to create a report that has two columns in each column, there is the dimension of the year. In the first column, there are the current POS for the year, but in the second column, I would like to first year unfounded POV automatically, without using a command prompt. Y at - it a function or a way to do it?

Use the relative function.

The first column will be set to use the POV of the user.

For the second column... see the tab named 'Functions' Select the function "RelativeMember". To the member row - select user POV. For offset, enter-1... that automatically selects the previous year.

    The reason why you get n/a, it is that the data do not exist. Queue length data are only available once we deployed agents OS like VMware does not provide this in a meaningful way (I am happy check if you can show me otherwise) monitoring. Disk latency information should however be available but only for the host ESX 4 and vCenter 2.5 U4 and later as this was the point where she became exposed.

  • Financial Reporting Studio should be uninstalled before to patch?

    Move forward on my plan to patch, I'm stuck again, this time with the ambiguity in the documentation. I am applying the financial report Patch 13997553. Browsing through the documentation, I found two ambiguous statements. In step 2, the doc said that I need to uninstall EN studio (doesn't say which machine I need to uninstall). Later in step9, it says, on Machines EN studio, uninstall the FR. studio

    According to my hypothesis, in step 2, I uninstall it from the server and in Step9 I need to uninstall it from my local computer. But the document never mentioned re - install the EN studio on the server. What I'm missing here?

    _ APPLY THE FIX

    The section contains important information on the application of this patch for Oracle Hyperion Financial Reporting, edition of Fusion.

    To apply this hotfix:

    1. stop all services and servlet instances related to the installation of Oracle Hyperion EPM Release 11.1.2.2.00.

    2 Uninstall Studio Financial Reporting by going to control panel, add / remove programs and then uninstall Financial Reporting Studio. *.

    3. on the financial report server computers; Download and unzip the downloaded patch, < PATCH FILE NAME > .zip, for the < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > / OPatch directory (by default, Oracle, Middleware, EPMSystem11R1, OPatch).

    NOTE: < NAME OF THE PATCH FILE > .zip is the name that My Oracle Support assigns to this patch. When you download the file, a message indicates the name of the file.

    4. on machines of financial reports, a command line server, navigate to the < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > / OPatch.

    I know that there is a report migration tool as we used it when we went to 7.2.5 9.3.1. I'm not 100% if you can make use of it as a tool for simple 'copy' (i.e. copy even software version reports from one server to another or if it only works in specific upgrade capability); However, I would like to start on this track first.

    I think that the roadblock that will hit you. However, is that I think that the environment should be operational for this utility work.

    If this is the case, the manual way is ugly. As I mentioned in a post unfounded, reports (since the system 9) are scattered in different rooms. In the database of the workspace, you will find information that links a UUID (Unique identifier) to a "friendly name". In the file system of your server that is running the web application of RM, you will find the actual report files. Files / folders for reports are not favorable to humans; Therefore, you must the DB to resolve names. The other question, you have here is the connection of database for reports. When you create a database connection, it also gets a generated Unique ID value that is stored in the reports. If the ID does not exist in the target system, you must update all reports; If not, will not work correctly.

    If I HAD to do by hand (i.e. old workspace is not operational, so I can't export), here's what I'd do...

    -CAUTION - I don't think that someone here will approve this method and I don't really either, but...

    "Old system" to the "new system".
    -----------------------------
    #1-nouveau system--> create your database or connections, preferably with the same name (s) as previous environment

    #2-old--> Locate naming the information in the workspace database tables (if you don't know where it is, find a previous post, I put on the reports and the database where I explain this)

    #3-vieux--> locate physical files / directories (see previous post on the subject)

    #4-old--> is at least ONE report for EACH database connection used in the old system. Open the file in Notepad and search for the connection ID. (NOTE: files are compressed so get something like 7zip inside)

    #5-nouveau--> open the workspace database search the database connection information. For each connection that you created, update the ID matches the ID in the reports.

    At this point, we have two different options...

    Option 1 - create your own archive export
    ---------------------------
    Now that you know where are all the old reports and you know the appropriate designation of the reports, you can make your own archive export which you can then import into the new environment. The structure of archive 7zip would be something like this

    ReportExtract.7z
    (null) File--> that would correspond to the folder your workspace root
    My report Folder 1--> your stuff to the workspace here
    My report folder 2--> etc.

    The thing of import to recognize here is that when you open the 7z file, you must have this file NULL; otherwise, it does not. I know not how to create such a null record, so what I do is usually to create a file extracted using workspace to export, then use 7zip to alter the archive to include what I really want...

    #1-vieux--> the names of Fix. Using the information from the database of the workspace write a quick script to browse the folder / folder structure and rename all the files and folders so that they have the friendly name.

    #2-old--> for files that were renamed just decompress. This can be accomplished with a script file as well bat.

    #3-nouveau--> go to file export and choose the highest folder you can and export all items. Save the file somewhere convenient that you will have need of ot that immediately.

    #4-old--> open archive with 7zip. You see a folder without a name, double-click it. Now you should see the beginning of the structure of your report (if you have one on the new environment...)

    #5-vieille--> using windows Explorer, drag and DROP the files/folders of measures #1 / #2 in the window 7zip. 7zip then adds these folders/files to archive report, we have created.

    #6 new--> connect to the workspace and select the file, the import option. Continue to use archive created previously. If everything is done correctly, the reports will shoot and you'll be good to go at this point. (OTHER THAN THE SECURITY)

    Option 2 - manually entered database and copy the files/folders
    ---------------------------

    In theory, it is slightly faster, I have never tried so I will say not for the fact that it works. I'd probably recommend only try it is the old and new machines running the SAME version of the software AND the new machine added nothing to this yet...

    #1-search for RM1 service folder and copy all files/folders RM folder on the new server

    #2-locate the old tables of database associated with report of files, folders, permissions, data connections and copy data in database tables.

  • Hyperion financial reporting - error 429 Activex Studio


    Hello everyone,

    I recently installed Studio of Hyperion 11.1.2.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer financial reports using the stand-alone Installer (FinancialReportingStudio.exe)

    After installation, when you try to launch the client we get the runtime error 429 active x Classic.

    I had this problem before in previous commitments and the solution was to run the utility of configuration on the computer and the error would then disappear.  The problem is that the stand-alone installer does not appear for program installation/install the utility of configuration on the client computer.

    Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?  Already tried to launch only the HRrunant.bat and that did not help.

    Tried two of these ideas and they didn't work.

    We found the question if, we were using the installer of the client 64-bit on a 32-bit computer, which is not very obvious financial reporting studio setup is basically the same for both platforms.  If you use the workspace to download the client installation program it will give you only the version that is on the server, which in our case was the 64-bit Installer.

  • Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, new items do not show reports

    Using Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio, I edit a report to add a few new accounts. I paste the lines matches the formatting and then go in and manually select the new Member (account number different which I copied).

    After saving the report, opening and closing back up, when I do a preview of web news show now.

    Here is the specific section. I added members of Base 28100 and 28100 below, the same with 28800, these items do not appear when I preview the report. The rest of the items were already there and continues to display in the preview.

    I would like to create a VM report that includes the name of the virtual host computer and Discription, as well as the virtual machine Resource Pool belongs too.

    I would also report to query for custom fields, provide the names, values, and to give it in a format that works with export-csv.

    The problem with the CustomFields, is that I don't know how they are defined on a guest.

    It's a problem when you want to make an Export-Csv thereafter. The cmdlet can handle variable-length items in the table very well.

    That's why I put 1 CustomField in 1 rank.

  • Shared Services with the Financial Reporting - 11.1.1.3 security problem

    So we have some users are configured in some groups. These groups have access to the Essbase server and Scheduler application access. This worked very well. They have access to the app and they access the cube through Smartview.

    Now, we need them to be able to see all the financial reports (EN) created for this application. There are so many choices of configuration under 'Reporting and analysis', I don't know how to do this correctly. At this moment we must affect access 'Viewer' and 'Explorer' under 'Content Manager' tree so that to happen. I just think it sounds wrong. We just need the user to be able to run and view a report of the workspace.

    Any help is appreciated as it is a very green to me area.

    You don't need to give them a "Content Manager", that gives write access to your content uses, unless you have blocked a file using "access forbidden".
    You need to remove the content of reports of records manager / individual in the workspace browser, right-click and select, then click on "change permissions".
    Here, you will give them "read access". In addition, give them access to reports based on needs and not overall access.

    Hello. IAM getting the error when opening the "Financial Reporting Studio'.» The error is "run-time error '429'. ActiveX component can't create object ".
    Y at - it a clue to get rid of these. But I can open SQR reports Studio and Studio of interactive reports. I have not install the "hyperion Financial Managemnet system 9" on my system... is this the problem or are there other issues...

    I assume you mean just the sample application, you can also work around by, do not select tick sample application, click on the tab with the date information and change the date of 2008, click on the first tab and select the sample application, now click Finish and it will have duped into thinking that it is 2008.

    Hi - on the report of the page attributes - that you show in your attached screenshot - you can select the columns to sort on the sort sequence as well as the direction of the sort, i.e. for a given column, you can choose to allow sorting on this column, what position this column must be in the sort sequence and whether to sort Ascending or descending by default (i.e. '1' means sort this column first and bottom-up and "1 desc") sort this column first and downhill). Don't forget that once you click on one of the headings of column during execution, it changes your sort settings and these settings are stored in your preferences, that is, they are used again the next time you log in your application and rerun the report.

    By default, LR creates a backup of the catalog once a week. You can safely remove older backups, 3-4-5 and several weeks, but I would keep at least the last 2 weeks of backups.

    Also, there is a bug in the system of video cache of LR who do not obey the limit set in the preferences of LR. So you can go and purge the cache of video to regain space.

    What you might be seeing is the Previews folder. You must set this limit to something like 10GBs.

    Also in the import dialog box mark course "make second copy" is not checked then the next time you do an import of images.
