    Hello

-What is the operating system installed on your computer?
-You are aware of any changes made on the computer before this problem?

Method 1: Run the FIXIT from Microsoft from the link below and check if the problem persists.
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows

Method 2: I also suggest you to run the Troubleshooter and check if that helps.
Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

Method 3: I suggest to change the cable to the external drive and also try to connect the player to another USB port on the computer, then check if the problem persists.

  • Transfer a program from Windows 98 to Vista

I have a card file (.crd) from Windows 98 I've been able to put in each program, I've had since then. I have a Gateway desktop computer and a Dell desktop computer as well with Vista on it I could add my card file to the bridge, but Dell doesn't let me. All my personal information is on the cards. The error message is "the version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you are running. "Check your computer system information to see if you need x 86(32 bit) or 64 (64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Cardfile.exe is earlier than Windows 95, it actually appeared back in WFWG 3.11.  In these conditions, I will assume that the Dell is a 64-bit computer.  I can tell you cardfile works on my Vista 32 installation.  If all else fails, you may need help from third parties:

Some programs need to be seen to withdraw their authorization, some don't, but most require a clean install to write the necessary components in the correct places, otherwise if you are 'slide' from one place to another, you can easily inherent problems of this method.

  • How to transfer programs from a user account to a different user account

I want to transfer selective programs that appear in "All programs" from one user to another account

If you mean you want an entry in the start menu > all programs to switch from one account to another on the same computer, which is easy.  If you're talking about two different computers, you are unable to do so (you will need to uninstall one and reinstall on another using the original installation media).

WARNING: Some programs, such as Internet browsers, have "profiles" that are specific to each user.  If this is the kind of program you concerned, cannot move just the shortcut as described below.  If you are not sure, please identify what "selective programs" you want to move.

Change the content to start > all programs on two accounts on the same computer

It's easier if you have at least one account with "computer administrator" privileges  If you need to, you can use the built-in account named "Administrator".  The password of this account is blank (no password).  You can access the Safe Mode or - in XP Pro administrator only - from welcome with no other account connected screen by pressing twice CTRL + ALT + DELETE.

The key to this procedure is that the entries in the menu start > all programs are simply shortcuts that point to the actual location of the application executable files.  What follows is easier to do than to in order to explain them.

Suppose you want to move an entry of account A to account B on the same computer.

Assume that you are connected to the account A and that is a computer administrator account.

    • Click Start, and then select open
    • Double-click the folder programs
    • Scroll down the page until you find the program you are interested in or the folder in which it is located.

If the account is NOT a computer administrator account and you are connected to the place C account, who is an administrator (or administrator) account, replace the first stage with the following text:

    • Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu, where is the name of the account, i.e., A

Now, open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\\Start Menu, where is the name of the other account, that is, B.

N-click-drag the element from the first window of Windows Explorer to another.

  • c: drive has 10% free space d: has 99% free, how to transfer programs from c to d?

How to transfer programs from c to d?

    Hello

Have you tried to clean the junk files that are normally found on your c: drive? To clear the temporary files click Start-> run, type & -> % temp %-> click ok. Delete all files in the temp folder.

Also to recover space on the partrition, you need to run Disk Cleanup and compress old files. See also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/956324.

To start disk cleanup, open my computer-> click drive c :->, right click Properties-> you get a tab for disk cleanup.

If you do not plan to uninstall the service pack you can try to remove the $NtUninstall in the windows folder.

Note that the folder is marked as hidden, so to see it, you must have configured Explorer to show hidden files/folders.

You can also (for the record of $ $NtServicePackUninstall): If you want to keep these files to uninstall later goal you can make a backup of the folder to a CD for example and replace when uninstalling.

You can also try disabling the system restore and disable hibernation (Hibernate mode writes an image of what you are currently working on a special folder on your hard disk and then shuts down your computer almost completely). To turn off Hibernation: click Start-> Control Panel-> Performance and Maintenance->, click Power Options.

If you want to move the files to program from C to D, the best way is to uninstall and custom install applications on the D drive.

    I hope this helps.

No, it won't, it will transfer personal files and settings. You will have to reinstall your applications from the original installation files or install CDs and DVDs.

You need to reinstall Word 2003 or Office 2003 from the original disc. Windows Easy Transfer does not transfer programs.

How can I transfer my files, data, & programs from old pc to new pc windows 7?

You can use the program built into Windows easy transfer of files. You can transfer the network drive or USB transfer cable.

However, your programs will be transferred not on, only your files and settings. Your programs will need to be reinstalled by using the installation media (CD, etc.).
Some programs can be transferred using the paid version of PCMover, a program designed for migration to new platforms.

I want to move a program from one hard disk to another is possible? I have the original disc to the software, but it is damaged. The hard disk that contains the program barely works, so I need to transfer all the programs and data to another drive. I used the transfer Assistant, but that will not transfer this program?

Unless you make an exact copy of the installation CD, I'm not sure there is much else you can do.

You can always try using a cloth and wipe the disc from the Center outward. That might do the trick. Or you can use a program like IMGBurn and create a new CD and hope for the best. Other than that, I'm ideas.

Read the info above from Ms.

You can't move programs from one computer to the other.

Programs must be reinstallled starting from the original (CD, DVD or downloads).

Simplest is to transfer files to copy files to a Flash Drive > transfer this way.

Or burn data to CD and transfer this way:
