  What password? You can change a password for the account, but if you do not know the FileVault password, you are in a bind. You need to call Apple directly if you their sent an emergency password when configuring the FV.

  lysdexic01, I know almost exactly what you describe on my screen of iTunes Store recently updated for Windows 7 64-bit. Only difference is that the icons in the black box are invisible until I move the mouse above them, their location by trial and error. Once activated, the icon remains visible. Each found icon flickers at first, but stops flashing if I pass the mouse over it.

  I think that the store is now functional and useless for those of us experiencing this problem. Other users have reported that their iTunes store screen flickers since they updated iTunes to the latest version, but most did not mention the area big black screen that you and I see.

  When I try to open the sales year end closing screen (Tools > Routines > sales > year end close) nothing happens, even through I the end window of the year closing checked ADMIN_SALES_015 slot (period of the end of Sales Routines) for POWERUSER which is how I'm connected (his).

  I assumed (wrongly) that I would be able to address this issue at a later date after the end of June (end of the year our) so I allowed everyone back on the system and displays were held as usual. However, in reading several messages from various sources I have unfortunately starting to recognize I have a made a mistake here & missed the two boats at the end of year!

  I would really appreciate it if someone could: -.

  (a) advise on how I can get to see the end of year sales closing screen &

  (b) run a successful year for end of December 2011 end, then a end of year to end June 2012

  or to offer advice on the best way to address this issue. for example is there there a script that fills all the fields of LYR & CDA and LTD with correct figures once I "tell him" what the 'Calendar' and 'Financial' end of year dates were?

  I understand that buying and year-end sales routines are optional, but nevertheless I am pretty cross with myself for letting these routines lapse.

  If there is no cure here, it will take until the end of December and just close the calendar year then as normal and live with the fact that "Last year" will be two years ' worth of data?

  In WINDOWS XP Home Edition, does anyone know a trick to install Service Pack 3 and always keep the address bar on the start at the bottom line? (When you put it automatically comes back without it and the choice to put it on the start menu disappeared as well AND when you remove service Pack3 he returns.)  Years ago the people of microsoft help was not able to understand how to do it and just put on service pack 1 & 2 but not 3, now I fear that the virus situation is worse and I can't afford to have any problems with my poor old WIN XP.   You must have installed Service Pack 3 . However, you should be aware that have installed Service Pack does not provide antivirus protection. You must have a version currently installed antivirus. I recommend ESET NOD32 (commercial) or Avast free.
