Hello
I resign from my job and had very little time to erase my laptop of any personal data.
So I uninstalled firefox thinking that all passwords security of all the accounts that I was saved and use will be automatically deleted.
My question is. Is it possible for them to recover this personal information somehow. I read somewhere that its possible to be already registered in?
Thanks in advance
You should always run a utility to clean the disk hard if you switch your computer to someone else, otherwise it is always possible to use an undelete utility to recover data.
If you use a master password in Firefox, then you should be safe. If you haven't you should exercise caution and consider changing all passwords.

I couldn't use Firefox because it wouldn't load websites (it would just load for several minutes before giving up). I have reset and the problem persisted. As a last resort, I uninstalled Firefox to see if then put it back would solve the problem. Try reinstalling Firefox, after clicking on "Run", my computer says that Firefox is 100% downloaded, despite the fact that it has been uninstalled and is no longer on my computer. As a result, it is now impossible for me to launch Firefox. Any help?
On the main download page, you get a small "stub" for Firefox installer that needs to connect to additional files. Firewalls or other components can sometimes this fails (even if 100% doesn't look like a failure...).
Can you try to use a "full" Installer from this page - made scroll your preferred language:
https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/all/
Which works best?

In any program, or by default, there is no trace of Bing. What Firefox it loading on my computer? How can I keep Firefox but get rid of Bing?
said cja2
I removed the Bing toolbar immediately, and I took it as a default search engine. But he remained as default when a tab is open. I uninstalled Firefox, but Bing came with Firefox every time. Firefox has partnered with Bing in a way that Bing is part of the package? I hate Bing and will remove Firefox if it includes Bing
If you get Bing when you click New tab try this: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.url and make sure that 'Value' is defined Subject: newtab (right-click to change if necessary).
In addition, if you haven't already done so, please run the malware removal in my initial response programs.

Impossible to uninstall Firefox.
I was not able to uninstall Firefox on Win 8.1 computer. Before, I made a recent update from version 36.0.4 to version 37.0.1 and have had problems using the new version version 36.0.4 worked very well before. However, when I look at the list of installed programs in Control Panel of windows, that I noticed that is Firefox version 15.0 and 15.1 which are extremely old. When I try to use the windows uninstaller, they will not remove. Furthermore, when I tried to run the file helper.exe too, it will not run. Is there another way I can remove this last version of firefox, which I do not see and also delete that list of old versions too?
If Firefox never connects to websites on your system Windows 8.1, you can see the ideas contained in these articles:
- Firefox cannot load websites but other browsers may
- Difficulty of problems connecting to websites after Firefox update
In addition, if you think that Firefox or a part of its program files may have been damaged during the update, you can re-do as follows:
Clean reinstall it
We use this name, but it is not about the deletion of your settings, this is to ensure that program files are clean. As described below, this process does not disrupt your existing settings. Don't uninstall NOT Firefox, that does not need.
(1) download a fresh Installer for Firefox 37.0.1 of https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ in an ideal location. (Scroll down your preferred language).
(2) close Firefox (if applicable).
(3) to rename the program folder
(Windows 64-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files (x86)\OldFirefox
(Windows 32-bit folder names)
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
TO
C:\Program Files\OldFirefox
(4) run the installer you downloaded in the #1. It should automatically connect to your existing settings.
Any improvement?
Note: Some plugins can only exist in this OldFirefox file. If it is missing something essential, present in these files:
- \OldFirefox\Plugins
- \OldFirefox\browser\plugins

Need help, can't uninstall firefox from my PC to reinstall the updated version
Tried uninstalling Vista program to get rid of XPCOM but does not. Can not reinstall the latest version of Firefox until this is done. What is the problem?
Hello
Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from mozilla.org office (or choose the download for your operating system and language on this page) and save the file to install it on your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (or open the Firefox menu
Click the close button
).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

Every now and then, to run most or all of the scanners hard-ware.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

I need to uninstall firefox from Windows 7 Home Premium machine, but can't. I tried to uninstall it through the Control Panel, but that has not worked. I then tried a repair, also did not work. I've then navigated to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe to uninstall it, but it did not work. Nothing I've tried has even produced a response from firefox, without uninstalling box appeared, no dialog boxes any don't get in, it just sits there completely inadmissible. Yes, I tried safe mode. Yes, I made sure firefox is not running in the background. Help.
Found a way to uninstall it manually.
-Manually went through and deleted all the files of Mozilla on the C: drive
-Ran CCleaner to clean the registry after removing all folders manually
-Are passed through the registry and manually removed all instances of Mozilla
-Then run uninstall from Control Panel and received the message that the program had already been uninstalled

I uninstalled Firefox on my computer, then I reinstalled and tried to run, but this message appeared, "failed to load your Firefox profile. It may be missing or inaccessible"and Firefox does not open.
I tried press windows key + R on my computer and open %appdata%\Mozilla\ - and rename the folder labeled "Firefox", but he said that "the action cannot be complete because the folder or the file that is open in another program" I didn't open it and try to restart the pc, but still no help
A likely cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini and the profile marked as the default value = 1 in this file is no longer present on the hard drive.
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\. - Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox /.
You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:
- Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
- Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
- Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
