Hi8 thru cam HDV into FCP 7: waiting for timecode

Hello

I have a bunch of Hi8 tapes I want to capture on the drive by running through Sony CCD-TR400 on the Canon HV - 20 MBPro & FCP 7.

I can see the execution in the window capture, but when I hit capture now it gets no further than "Waiting for time code."

I guess the Hi8 analog, but hoped the Canon with its AV > DV option would treat his way through.

Any ideas?

Is the only way to do this would save on tape dv on Canon HV-20 and then capture the disk?

The best

Elmer

Hi8 uses only consumer re-writable (CCFC) timecode that is not readable by the PCF.  In the FCP capture settings, set "Device Control" device not controllable and then use Capture now capture rather than in batches.

  • still waiting for out of warranty repair to fix my pc.

Hello I have an alien ware m18x and spent a lot of money on this laptop. I liked from the start, but not even a year after the motherboard came out no problem my warranty covered. Welcome to 5-6 months later my warranty has expired and bam the motherboard went out to new same problem than before. It happened in mid-term for the College so I called the guy and a week later was able to pay and send my laptop.

now, this is where I am getting very angry with dell. When I sent that far they told me 7-10 working days although we are on day 20 now and nothing has been done with this laptop. Let's start in the order of all the stuff that has happened since you guys my laptop.

    1. I sent the laptop to you guys, but it took 2 days for the depo to sign for it.

    2. the depo began working on it and then 5 seconds later put a shim of payment by saying that I did not pay $430. It took about 3-4 days of calling me support and begging them to tell the depo I paid and even provide my payment number.

    3. have you called agents support so many times to ask what is the hold up because the depo never updates the link, they sent me in email. officers tell me to wait and just check the link.

4 depo puts a wedge of parts which took more than 2 weeks to find just that part. I'm always told that they do not always have a part.  Nobody sews really to find out what is happening right now.

honestly, I regret spending crazy amount of money I did on this mobile no only I'm still waiting for some news as to when its going to be fixed, but this delay destroyed my college this semester. I have finals in 2 weeks, I also have my review of certification compIT in 3 weeks all the stuff that I need are in the computer including all my papers. I am begging you guys just get my laptop fixed or ask someone who speaks English actually could you tell me what is happening.

honestly, I want to start looking for a monetary value for the amount of hassle, than what has been. «There was a lot more, but as I am not the kind of person that insults people I haven't posted it.» but lets just say that some calls where not very beautiful side valleys.

    Hello Travis,

First of all, I would like to apologize for any discomfort your siding with your system and the time it has taken to repair the unit.

From time to time, Dell may run into questions parties may run out of stock and there is not a viable substitute available role. That puts us in a position of having to order the parts from our suppliers and await his arrival. Without knowing the details of your case is probably that your run in. You won't see any changes on the filing status tool until the device is taken out of the hold of the party or other actions take place.

I am working actually came out of the repair center, and I can check some internal tools to see if I might be able to get a better eta on when the requested party should. If you want to consult me send me a request for direct message with the Service Tag, shipment number and the name of the system is saved. Don't post personal information on the public domain.

It is recommended, especially when you could be without your systems for a few days, it is best to have a backup of your data separate from your system.

  • iPad 4 blocked mode recovery, itunes waiting for ipad

I've had my IPad for over two years now and it worked great. But yesterday it just no longer lights. I don't know weather it auto-updated or not, but it became all black. I tried to reload, but the screen remains black after hours of load. The combo of home button and lock 10 seconds also does nothing. I plugged into my Macbook so and tried Itunes. ITunes says "ITunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes. «So I press ok and restore the iPad, software is extracted and it said "Waiting for iPad...» "for a minute. The next thing is the error message ' the iPad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4005). "I tried several times with different cables and USB ports... I don't know what to do anymore.

I'd be happy for something useful!

  • "Waiting for in time (RT PXI target) real answer" error when the program is waiting interruptions

    Hello

I developed an application to detect interruptions generated by an electronic card and act accordingly. The program was developed in labview, but she calls a dll; created with labwindows. The dll is scheduled to open the visa communication, select the events and install the interrupt handler and when an interruption is detected, it reads the value of the different registers of the map and returns to labview to view.

The problem is that when the program expects an interruption, a prompt appears with the message "Waiting for real-time (RT PXI target) real answer" and the only option I have is to click on the button to disconnect the pxi or just wait. If I wait and I generate an interrupt, the prompt disappears and the application view data as it was planned.

To wait for the following code the interruption has been programmed into the function:

    While (flag == 0)

    {

    Sleep (1000);

    }

When an interruption occurs, the value of flag set to 1 and function continues without any problem. I am not really sure, but here is probably the problem and it probably isn't the best way to wait for a break because the sleep function suspends the thread to the configured time, but at least the load calculation in the PXI is between 0 and 1%. I was wondering if anyone knows how to wait for a break without 'lost' communication with PXI and if there is a better way to do it.

Any response will be welcome and thank you for them,

    Jaime

    Hey there.

You see problems with connectivity it's because the thread by DEFAULT CallLibrary nodes running in is the UI (UI) thread - UI thread manages also the important things like, say, communications (especially all the connections for the VI server) and other things that you could run all the time.  A CallLibraryNode is not, by default, intended to be used to execute code that runs for a long period of time.  If you want to do this, you assign the execution of the CallLibrary node to run in the context of a LabVIEW run-time engine thread (by selecting to make it work "in any thread") and not the UI thread.  This can be done through the properties of the CallLibraryNode.  By selecting "run in any thread" the call DLL will be generally in the context of the thread running in the run LabVIEW, which is usually what is meant when even.  The VI CallLibraryNode color change of Orange (UI) to blue (LabVIEW thread) so that you can quickly tell what context the appeal will be in.

The reason the interface thread user is the default thread is because most often DLLS calls need to be serialized (because of functions is not not thread-safe) and so it serves to protect the integrity of the system.  However, if you know your threads are thread-safe, or you will use these threads for a while, it is best to program the CallLibraryNode to use a Thread of LabVIEW execution rather than the UI thread.

  • Waiting for timeouts in parallel for loop

    Hello

I am currently working on a project where I communicate with a number of devices over TCP. This happens at the same time, which is not a problem as long as does not change the number of devices. Now, I want to open my project to support the case with different numbers of hardware devices, which I want to make a loop (read the device of DB information in an array and iterate over all items).

I read on a single loop parallel execution for, but it seems that the logical cores is a limiting factor for the number of alternative treatments. Unfortunately, I must also take into account delays in communication which translates as the waiting time for each iteration of the loop.

As you can see I have this creates a lot of idle time that adds up quickly (running with 10 carrots 4 logic devices takes three times the delay to finish without the loop it would not delay time as all connections are pending at the same time.

I hope someone can direct me to a solution.

    Thank you

Move the reference VI opened in the first LOOP.

You use the same reference for all instances.  So wait for asynchronous call will just see one of them finished and the results.  By placing the reference VI open inside your loop, you will have a different reference for each call of your VI.

    Hi magjoseki,

Follow the steps in the section "Let fix me it myself" article and check if it helps.

Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Start stuck on "Please wait for the Local Session Manager."

I would say that this problem started a couple of days. Went to start my laptop (Toshiba) and he sat on the "Please wait" message forever.

Had no problems to start in safe mode. Looked up various ways of addressing the problem.

Was able to change the resume date and back a few weeks ago. Still no luck. Happened to read something on a printer Epson being perhaps the problem driver (it was installed a day before the date of restoration chosen). Uninstalled the drivers, computer still does not start.

Tried restarting running. I do not have the CD it came with Vista, but it was an option when you hold F8 during startup (I think?) Couldn't find any problems.

Ran check on memory. No problem either.

Changed settings for a verbose startup and ran a Diagnostic startup - all good for this. Then tried selective startup load system services... This is when the error occurs. When starting, it hangs on "Please wait for the Local Session Manager" and does nothing more.

I looked in the event viewer to see what came that time and a couple mistakes were:

Event ID 6000: winlogon notification subscriber was unavailable to handle a notification event.

Event ID 7026: the next (s) start or start failed to load system
    spldr
    Wanarpv6

It would be very useful for me not having to run my computer in safe mode automatically all the time, although it is useful that I at least have that option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    1. by chance your computer is connected to a domain environment?

    2. as you mentioned in your article that you tried the selective startup, I want to confirm if you have disabled the services left 3rd after hide Microsoft services?

If you did not disable these services make sure you disable and then check if it works.

    Notice to lovers?

    Hello

There seems to be a communication problem. You can do the following and see if the GSS is going to runmode = 5.

On the standby: gss stop gss disable Then, go into the GUI of the GSSM and delete the standby GSS from the resources tab Then go to standby: gss enable gssm-standby x.x.x.x (IP of primary )

Then in the GUI of primary GSSM, you will again see the standby in the resources tab. Click on it, and check on the activate button, then hit submit. Make sure the standby goes to runmode 5 under "gss status" output.

If this doesn't work then you can try the below:

Go to the GUI of the GSSM and delete the standby GSS from the resources tab. On the standby: gss stop restore-factory-defaults Make sure you have a console connection so you can do the initial config on the Standby GSS (add IP, etc). Once done, enter standby:

gss enable gssm-standby x.x.x.x Then in the GUI of primary GSSM, you will again see the standby in the  resources tab.

Click on it, and check on the activate button, then hit submit. Make sure the standby goes to runmode 5.

  • Waiting for a transition to be completed?

I use Tweener.AddTween () to apply some transitions to my sprites who say quarter of a second. Once the transition is complete, I need to do something else. The problem is the line immediately after the transition is executed immediately (it does not wait for the transition to complete) and all that mess up. Is it possible in a synchronous way expect the transition ends without taking CPU in a loop, etc.?

    Hey p3pp3r,

There is a setting for the tweener Oregon 'onComplete' call that performs a function is completed. It goes right into the addTween method.

Here are more details on the onComplete parameter (along with several other more useful):

    http://hosted.Zeh.com.br/Tweener/docs/en-us/parameters/index.html

    example:

    Tweener.addTween(myobj, {x: 45, onComplete: myFunction});

    hope that helps. Good luck!

And there is nothing in V$ SESSION leader/block/line current. class obj # is EMP. current sql_id is the CREATE INDEX.

If anyone has an idea on:

-Why creating an index in line must wait for transactions that modified only parent table

    -How to continue the investigation

-can or cannot reproduce in other versions

    Thanks in advance,

    Franck.

I guess you have a constraint foreign key between emp and Dept.

It's expected behaviours: since 11.1 any DML at one end of a referential integrity constraint translates into a mode lock 3 taken at the other end, and your phenomenon resembles a side effect of this.

When you try to create the index online that your session must assume that the other session (holding mode 3 on the emp and dept) may have changed the emp and dept, so it must wait for the session to the commit or rollback.

(I guess that in principle, he could walk the cancellation of the transaction see if EMP had in fact been changed - but maybe who was considered too complicated to be worth the risk to implement)

Updated - I just did a quick check to reproduce the effect on 11.1.0.7

For reference - here are a few notes on modes of locking and how the application has changed over time: https://jonathanlewis.wordpress.com/2010/06/21/locks/
