'Hide controls' in 8 workstation

In the redesign of the user interface for Workstation 8, it seems that the option 'Hide controls' has been removed.  This option has the possibility to withdraw a large part of the user interface of workstation around the machine virtual when running in a window the size of the maximized screen comments but still be 'windowed '.  I used 'Hide controls' as an alternative to full screen because I run several virtual machines and want to always each virtual machine in a window, so I can quickly interact with the local office, but I wanted to also estate screen as much comments as possible.

Is there another way (for example, the configuration file) in order to reduce the amount of UI elements user displayed in 8 workstation when full screen does not?  (i.e. closure of tool bars, bars State, menus, etc.).

Thank you

View--> customize only what you are after? I can't get rid of the menu bar, but everything is removable from there.

I have VMWare WorkStation installed 10.0.1 on a Windows machine 7 Professional 64-bit. I created a few virtual machines using this workstation. Can I control these virtual machines from another machine (say Windows7 another machine or machine Ubuntu) using vmrun?

I went through the help of vmrun and some discussions on the forums, but all the current point of execution vmrun against a local workstation or a remote server.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

It looks like VC ESXi and VMware Server (discontinued) are what can be managed remotely.

I just ssh into the host and run vmrun like that.  On a host Windows use OpenSSH for Windows.

  • Apex hide control of running interactive report

    Hello

Is there a good way to hide the icon of orders to an interactive report break?

    Tyia,

    Arnaud

    Hello Arnoud,

If you want to hide option to set a Break control: turn this option off in the area of the search bar of your definition of attributes of interactive report.
If you just want to hide the image when a Break of control is used in a standard definition of IR: put the javascript $x_Hide ('apexir_CONTROL_PANEL_COMPLETE') or $x_Hide ('apexir_CONTROL_PANEL') in the footer of the region.

  • I can't hide control sort shuttle icons?

    Hi all

Anouther shuttle questions... I can hide a part of the shuttle control icons?

When I create a shuttle there are two sets of icons. To move items between the two parts of the shuttle (indicated between the two fields) and the other to control the order of selected items (shown to the right of the shuttle).

I wish I could hide the second set of icons that the user should not be able to reorder items in the list of the selected item.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you very much.

  • by filling program or show / hide control enum or ring options

    Hey guys,.

So my problem is that I have a list of songs I want to something like an enum or control of the ring, the user will have to click an option, and something will happen to each selection. the program will be a lot of pages where the enum/ring will be present and on each page the options available will be a relatively unique group of known values.

basically options 1 to 6 are already known to exist.

    on page 1 the drop-down list displays options 1, 2, 3

page 2 the drop down menu displays the options 2, 4, 5, 6

    ....

each page will have a combination of options.

also, this isn't random, im pulling the page and the list of items in the list from a database.

Im trying to think of a good way to do it, my guess is my options are rings or enums but if theres another thing that I could use to generate lists like that at the time of execution I have no problem to looking into it. I was looking for using the channels property node to take the strings of the options of the database and filling of the control of the ring, but how can I keep the ring always associated with the appropriate string value? I could use the property value and string and just pre associate database of the appropriate digital value chains.

I wonder if there is a better way to go about it.

    Thanks for any help

I would use a ring as you change the list dynamically.  Then, you can use the property of [StringsAndValues] for each of them to fill their individual list.

  • Hide controls while drawing?

I am generating some controls on a tab programmatically with the function NewCtrl (up to 180 controls) call when a separate control is pressed by a user.  Currently, they are displayed individually as they are generated (it takes about 1 second).  I would prefer for all controls in a State initially hidden and then displayed at the same time once they have been created. I tried to place a canvas in front of the controller as they are created, but as controls are created after the canvas, index z-plane put the canvas in the back.  I wonder if there is a better way to do this as a break draw events or something similar?

    Thank you!

  • Cannot open the control panel and workstation - "Windows Explorer has stopped working"

Original title - I can't open my computer or control panel.

I try to open my computer or control panel so I can uninstall something I think that may have caused a problem. When I try to do so, a window opens saying "Windows Explorer has stopped working". I don't know what to do. I think it was some game, I installed recently which caused this.

Restart your computer in safe mode by pressing F8 just before windows logo appears after intervention by the bios. And see if you can open my computer or control for safe mode. If you then uninstall the program/game where you doubt. also run msconfig and remove startup programs that you do not use frequently and do not trust. Also if you have recently added a toolbar or of any custom theme and then disable it. then reboot in normal mode and see if the problem persists. It will be useful.

    Good luck!

  • Hide options controls the controls/Show not listed do not

    Hello world.

I have VMware Workstation 8 running on Windows Server 2008 R2.  I would use the "Hide controls" options as mentioned in the documentation (by clicking on the icon in the left corner), but the option never apears.  I tried Delete/reactivate my UNK and changing floods administrator, but so far without success.  I tried the tips all morning for a soltuion to my problem, but the only reference was a question unanswered a year ago.  Can someone give an indication on how to remedy this situation?  Is there a key combination that would work as well?

    Best regards!

  • How to hide error in or controls?

In LabVIEW 2009, I can't hide the error in or on the Fron Panel controls. If I select one of the controls and right click, I get instead the palette function in the context menu.

I know that I might be able to hide the controls by using the Visible property, but I don't want to do this, if possible.

How can I get the pop-up menu by mistake by clicking right in or error controls?

Right-click on the terminal for control in the diagram and choose hide control.

Why do you want to hide the error control?  In general, you don't want to hide the controls or the LEDs on the front panel, (exceptions are if you do your program).

Generally, you will see that the error control or indicator on a VI that is intended to be used as a Subvi, in which case the façade is not indicated during normal operation.

  • Repair Windows scam - cannot control panel access control or workstation "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Original title: repair Windows scam - Can can't Access Control Panel or workstation

My system has been recently infected with "Windows" repair"virus. I managed to delete using Super Anti-Spyware, but all my desktop shortcuts are gone (hidden) so I downloaded "Unhide.exe" and get all my shortcuts. Most of them seems to be working as before, but there are a few, such as 'My Computer', ' Panel, "My Documents", or even "Windows Explorer", which I can't access.» When I try to open them, I get this popup box saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" how much he out me of my office of kicks.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Brian

The best way to solve this maybe just create a new user account, transfer your personal data to this account, and then delete the old account. Make sure that you perform the system restore after you did the new account and everything works fine. To purge the system restore, simply disable it then again. Be aware that the creation of a new user account is not the means to get rid of malware. But it is perhaps the best way to get rid of some of the after effects. However, I recommend you scan with Malwarebytes before running these instructions. After scanning you may not create the new account.

In addition, Jose is correct. Good number of new forms of malware prevent the start in safe mode. Trying to force booting in SafeMode with msconfig, you end up with a boot loop.

  • Delete computer window menu bars and the controls at the top of the my computer window?

I would like to reduce the amount of screen real estate that my Workstation window normally takes on my computer screen.  I mean, it's just to show the window frame naked Workstation when running, except when I need controls, and then I can bring them to the top.  That would eliminate all of this (usually unused) space at the top of the window workstation that has the Workstation menu bar, drop-down menus and so on, for the virtual computer control and work stations.  Kind of a way of reducing real estate, as many Windows applications.

Is it possible to do this?  I looked and did not see anything about it, nor anyone discussing this (which may mean that I'm the only person in the world who wants to do that, but I doubt smile).

    Thanks for your help.

    -Roger

For Windows hosts, right-click on VMware Workstation icon in the upper left corner of the title bar (or right click on the entry of the taskbar) and choose "Hide Controls".

Note: the volume must remain on and to a preset level (so I can't just delete or disable control of Volume of Mater).

  • I want to display video controls for an imported video

I have imported a video with AutoPlay and it works well, but at the bottom of the video is the controls that ruin the look.

Is there a way to hide controls for the video (NOT the PlayBar captivate).

Do not insert the video as a video of the event, but as several video slide. Only the video event has its own control panel and will play completely independently. Multi video Slide (can be used on a slide, the terminology is a little confusing) is controlled by Captivate.
