Hide the "submit" button when there is nothing to report

Hello

I have a simple command with a 'running total' good quantities ordered at the top of the form, (FormCalc) calculated as follows:

the sum of $ = (Products.PRODUCT_GROUPS. DATA[*]. PRODUCTS. DATA[*]. Quantity)

If this amount is zero (that is, nothing has been ordered) so I want to ban the form submitted by e-mail. I thought that the best way to achieve this would be to hide the submit button when this field is zero and show when > 0.

I tried adding this code for the same event in this field to calculate:

If ($ > 0) then

Button1.presence = "visible".

on the other

Button1.presence = "hidden".

endif

but no go.

Sorry if it's real simple, but I would appreciate the help!

Thank you.

When, in the code window, you will see that it says something about Ctrl + click for the SOM expression. So if in the event code for an item, you can press CTRL, then click on another point and it will insert the correct reference in your code. We must ensure that emphasis is placed in your code when you do and the mouse cursor will turn into a broad V.

You can do a right click in the code window and select check the syntax of the Script to see if there are problems.

When you view the form in preview, Ctrl + J opens the JavaScript debugger. It may need a config first in Acrobat. It has been a while since I put that up. Instead of making app.alert, you can do console.println and it will write in the JavaScript console. Occasionally, you may need to debug something dealing with the development and the app.alert itself affect the focus.

Have you thought about putting your code preSubmit event and displaying a message that nothing has been entered? Also don't xfa.event.cancelAction = true

  • How to hide the Submit button in the TEB?

Using Cap 9, with the last update.

I added a 'text area' group to a slide. After validation of the entry, I would like to hide the whole group. I call it a group because you get the field and the Send button.

I can't hide the field because I can give it a name and then refer to it in my Advanced actions. But I can't see the button submit as well, so I can't hide it.

Did I miss something? Is there a work around known for allowing me to hide the Send button and the text input field?

No, it's an object built in, which means that you can not solve, because there is no correct ID. In addition, you can add States either. I tried that as well. Embedded objects are very limited.

I have however a workaround. It depends a bit on the used theme, but the Send button is often a text button. This is my workflow

    1. Because you cannot change the style of a button text, I replaced it with a transparent button.
    2. I did this totally invisible to the user transparent button: fill opacity = 0%, line width = 0 and remove the button caption (label).
    3. I created a text caption or a shape with 'Submit' and dragged under the TEB in the timeline panel. It is not necessary for the output SWF, but it's for HTML output. This text container has an ID and will be visible because the TEB button is completely transparent.
    4. When the user clicks on the button submit, I trigger a successful action that will be:
      1. Hide the text container (Submit)
      2. Mask of the ETB

If you do this several times in a project, you can create a shared action.

  • Cannot change the "submit" button

I need to update the Submit button that is automatically generated with a text for validation input area and when I double click on it, nothing happens.  I also tried a right click and go to properties, but once again, nothing happens.  I would be able to change the button submit, as I would any button I created?  I've seen other threads on the forum where it was a suggested approach, but I was not able to Captivate 4.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Almost any object in Captivate is able to become corrupted for a variety of different reasons.

You can find that you must re - insert a box of text of the entry (TEB) to be able to edit the button. Or, you may need to reset the settings of Captivate file. Before trying the settings file, I will try to create a blank slide. Insert a TEB there and see if you are able to edit the button.

  • Problems after clicking on the Submit button in a form

Hello people I'm new to the Forum. I have an IMac with OS Snow Leopard 10.6.4. I just finished my first Web site using dreamweaver CS4 and there style with CSS. I have also built a simple form using the tools 'Spry validation form' with a name and e-mail along with a "submit" button text boxes. When I saw my site in Safari and Firefox, and fill in the details with my own name and email address then click on the button submit, my e-mail "New Message" window opens. What should appear?  shouldn't I have a message "form sent.

If a user entered text fields with coordinates and then clicks the Submit button should not he see also message 'Send form', not his new e-mail window.

As I have not downloaded the site and yet I thought I would fix the code. I'm not sure as to the time code is incomplete.

My another brief question is, is it wise to get an overview of the sites in browsers other than Safari and Firefox

    I'd appreciate any help offered.

This is what happens when you use mailto Action of forms. It is not completely reliable and should be avoided. To send the form, you need a form mail script on the server side. First check if your host can provide a suitable to your hosting plan. If this is not the case, check back for some suggestions.

Also, be careful when posting in these forums. You have submitted 4 duplicate threads.

  • Delete record behavior does not wait for the "submit" button

I have master / detail pages as a whole.  Of all the detail, there are links to delete or update a record.  When I click the link to delete the folder, it goes to the confirmation page with the correct record.  Now, when I add the behavior delete record server and a button "submit", it is what is happening.  As soon as I click on the link to access the Delete Confirm page, deletes the record and the page redirects to the page that I put in the server behavior.  It does not display the confirmation page and does not wait for me to hit the button confirm.  The page runs and removes the page from the database.

How can I get to wait until I hit the submit button?

You must surround your request deletion with an "If" statement seeking a confirmation variable, then when the user clicks the confirmation link, you can pass the necessary variable and the ID of the record that the delete request is pregnant.

As an alternative, you can use a JS alert fuction to ask if they are sure they want to delete the folder, and then delet allwo runs after confirmation to the user. To do this, you can use code like this...

onclick = "return ('are you SURE you want to DELETE this record? confirm")">

  • Form the "submit" button similar to the first Page

I'm trying to understand how the Send button.

I'm moving on from my days of Frontpage.  There, I created a form with a button send at the bottom. I could right click on the button submit, where I've isolated a .txt file to a folder on the server called "_private".  The Send button would only add the info from the completed form at the bottom of the text file, which, being in the _private folder, could not access by password.

All tutorials Dreamweaver I can find show how to make the shape (which seems simple enough), but none explain how to set up the submit button (which I do not want sent by e-mail) or where the info is presented or stored or accessible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How forms work in a few words:

    (1) html forms collect data.

    (2) sometimes the client script (JavaScript/jQuery) are used to validate the form fields & make sure that all required fields are filled correctly.   It is not 100% reliable, however, that spammers robots do not use JavaScript.

    (3) PHP or another script server-side more guarantees the required fields are filled in (in the case of that JavaScript is disabled) and data are sanitized to prevent the pirates & spam bots to exploit your forms.  Then, data are processed by your server and sent to a destination specified in the script - that is to say, your e-mail address or folder / database on your server.   Finally, the user receives a success message telling them that the form was sent.

For the end user, this seems very simple - as well it should.  But there are a lot of things behind the scenes.  If your server supports PHP & the function mail (), I wrote a tutorial part 3 contact form below.

Aaron, no thanks to Adobe (and a big thank you using Google Apps,) I finally could solve this problem.  The way the document authenticates in the back-end is through Google + Apps Admin profile.  Once I entered in the Console administration, compatible Google + for the created domain a + profile for the admin of the field, the auto shape filled the signature form after that I have authorized access to authentication on the shortcut menu.  Not sure if your situation is in Google Apps, but even if not, I'd be willing to bet that the problem on your side is the account that is used for authentication when you open your form.  I hope this helps!

Is the buggy to OPA or we do something wrong?

This section of the documentation ("create a custom user experience interview") describes the approach suggested for dealing with data submitted by a custom application, not Web determinations at the interview session.

Only one track of the battery is sparing of information, given that this situation can be caused by something that modifies the data during the interview, including incorrect data from Siebel, custom functions or inference event listeners.

Please request a service with Oracle Support, providing the following:
    1. the modules, or a replica appropriate modules that will reproduce the problem
    2. the details of custom functions or events of inference that can be used at the interview
    3. the measures necessary to recreate this issue - including what data have been stored in the session of Siebel, and what data have been added on each screen in the interview process before the Submit that caused this error.
    4. the version of the OPA OPA Siebel connector you use

  • Dynamicaly change the text of the submit button?

Is there a way to do this based on what screen you are on inside web determinations?, I tried editing messages.en.properties and using an attribute % textSubmitButton % instead of submit substitute and who attribute to the 'test' in the modules, but the submit button displayed % textSubmitButton %, is there another way to do this?

You can override the default display text for the submit button by subscribing to the OnApplyTemplatesEvent and change the value of the property 'submit-button-text' in display based on the current screen returned.

  • Hide the next button

I know that people have posted answers to this question already, but I'm being really dim and do not understand them. I have a slide with 5 zones of reversal on this issue and I want users to have to ride on these before to move to the next slide so I want to hide the next button until what they looked at everything.   I had a look at the other threads and other sites on the net that explain this, but I've never used before advanced Actions and use only Captivate for about 6 weeks (this is the Captivate 5).  I tried to follow the instructions but I can't get it to work and to be honest I don't understand what I'm trying to do.

Is anyone able to explain it really, really simply.  (Assume that I don't know, because I have probably not!)

OK, so will try to give you a little help.

    • Create five text captions, label something as TC_1 TC_2, TC_3, TC_4, TC_5 and uncheck the visibility in the properties panel for the legends
    • Create five 'points' there are click on: either create you them as buttons (image buttons), or as boxes by clicking on an image, it is up to you. But do not forget to describe the interactive object (the click box or button) in the same way the legends of text. Example for click boxes: CB_1, CB_2, CB_3, CB_4, CB_5. This will make them easy to recognize who is related to what wording in advanced actions
    • Create the following button and uncheck its visibility in the properties panel. I would like to label it Bt_Next
    • Create a variable user v_counter; you can give an initial value of 0, but it is not really necessary, because it is the default

Now the advanced actions, which is the most difficult part, because you need a conditional action proceeds by a standard action, which is a little confusing to reach. If you want more explanation, take a look at my article

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/community/publishing/862/cpsid_86254.html

You need a tip for each area of click action, but you can duplicate and edit the first tip action I am describing now. I have it tagged the CB_1_ac to make it clear that it is triggered by some CB_1; this action will have 2 Decisions: first, she tagged ShowTC is a simulated standard measure that will display the text of the legend (or the image, I forgot to ask what you show), disables the present click box and increments the counter; the second, entitled CounterCheck is a real disease that checks the value of the counter and if it reaches 5 will show the next button; you use only the first page for each decision, not the ELSE part:

This action must be repeated 4 times for stocks CB_2_ac... CB_5_ac. You need to change only the part of the Actions of the decision ShowTC to change TC_1 and CB_1 to TC_2... CB_2 etc.

Then attach these actions to their click box, as success in the properties panel. Try it... I created this sample and it works very well.
