  Are you talking about resizing text blocks that align with margin guides? It's easy. Turn on the adjustment of the layout, then go to the master page, and adjust margins. Executives must align itself with new margins, but the text will be redistributed to adapt to the new size of the images.

  My form is long and a section of the Master Page will be text with no shape field, but the text is 10 + pages, depending on the version of the terms and conditions described.  In this link, http://forums.adobe.com/message/5112687, there are a lot of discussions about how to accomplish in 8.2, but how I would accomplish in 9?  I wish I could paste pages 10 + and automatically do master stream for this section of the Page. Have tried to place a text field and also tried a text in a fluid subform, assigning several lines, keep later, but is not only of course how to set up properly.  I see the sign at the bottom of the text box, but when I saw it, it does not flow to the other pages.  Hoped to avoid setting up 10 + pages in the form, from the time these terms are updated, and it would be much faster to just be able to copy and paste from Word in a correctly set text field or subform.  Hope that makes sense and to appreciate all the advice, thank you.

  1. Get your text in Word (or anywhere where you want to change the text so that it looks right).
  2. Open a document in LiveCycle (a new one if you are starting from scratch, in any case)
  3. Select your subform page1, set the content to be Flowed (allow page breaks automatically).
  4. Add a text field (make sure it is listed under this subform page1).
  5. Change the position of the legend to zero text box and make sure allow multiple lines is verified (as well as allow page breaks). Expand a height fixed auto
  6. Click the default value for the text field. Paste this 9 page document inside.
  7. Wait a few seconds (or minutes) for LiveCycle catch up.
  8. Listen to samples and enjoy your new document with several pages paged automatically for you.

  I really could use your expertise.  I know that some people will say it is not a question of Acrobat, but I think it might be.  I scanned the 3 pages and saved in PDF format.  When I open the file it opens in Microsoft Document Imaging.  I have ocr and then I save it to PDF and open it in Acrobat 8 Pro.  I need to select text in the 3 pages and can only find a way to select the text on the first page?  I don't want to retype this information if any suggestion would be great.  I tried to save to tiff, but that no longer works.  I have a lot of reports I have to scan and then select text and cut and paste to word.  Is there a better product to achieve?  Remember that documents will be scanned.

  Since you have OCR has analysis and the PDF file contains text, the easiest way is to use Save as and select DOC. Don't expect formatting and others to be preserved, but typing must be intact. The other option is to a continuous page view and highlight the entire document, then copy and paste the word. Yet once, you won't have to preserve formatting and others.   I'm building a 300 more catalog pages and installing it, I created Masters with text boxes that flow from one page to the next. It has been very helpful at the beginning, when I would realize that I had to add something to the page 30 and I was on page 150.  But now that I'm basically done, and I'm just change - if I add the line on page 30 - all my titles and text from there on bumps out if I remember deleting a line offset.  I tried to turn off patterns, but instead of leaving things on the page I, he wants excess all text in there and I end up with a loaded cursor want me to tell him where to drop all of this text.

  One of the scripts that comes pre-installed with InDesign is called 'SplitStory.jsx '.

  It seems that all your blocks of text are threaded to one another throughout your 300-page catalogue. If this is the case and you want to break the thread between all these text frames, select one of them and run the SplitStory script.

  Once you have done this, you should find that your page layout is maintained if you add lines. Instead, if you add too many lines to fit a frame, it will become in excess, but won't push the lines in the next section.

  I would recommend a backup of your document in its current state before running the script, just in case later, you find that it is actually not so convenient that all the blocks of text are separated!

  I created a 1,000-page .pdf file. I really prefer is not to go through the hassle of recreating this document, but there is a problem. On the bottom of each page, there is the date. I didn't know it's there, but it shows the date of the day, I created the .pdf.   Really appreciate if someone of you knows a way to extract text from a page files of 9 MB that contains text and images and which does not:

  Error message: file format not valid.

  Change the type of file and opening in various programs (Word, Acrobat, Google doc converter) but nothing I've tried will open it.

  I have a backup at home, but am away for several weeks and done a lot of work on this file since the last backup.

  If it is in fact a v5 Pages document, and it will not open in preview, or open in v5 Pages while holding the SHIFT key, then you're done. The inner content in Pages v5 is in a format that is illegible, indecipherable, scrambled anything able to read except Pages v5.

  If it's a v5.5.2 Pages or a later version of the document, then it is by default in a single file format (file zip compressed/renamed), and no version of Pages thru v5.2.2 on Mavericks v5 was designed to play a single file format documents that are not original Pages ' 09. If it is a document Pages from Yosemite or El Capitan, you will need the v5.5.3 Pages or later to change the type of file to the package format - which can be read by v5 + Pages on the Mavericks.

  If it is a Pages ' 09 document, there is a good possibility that your attempt to open/edit/etc this document with all of the people mentioned applications has damaged the document permanently. Try the preview or the free LibreOffice (v5 or later) which can open documents file format only (not the package files) of Pages ' 09 very simple, sometimes with pictures. No warranty if.
